1 tip on the cleaning of the spatula, if you just sit them flat on the griddle for like 20 seconds, anything on them starts to sizzle and would've killed any bacteria. Good job on cooking, looks good
That makes perfect sense. Thanks.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat What temp are you cooking with
@@dano1956 I cook on low or medium unless I’m searing.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat Thank you
This was very helpful. Really appreciate you taking the time and explaining everything: from ingredients, to heat of burners, etc. Well done! Tried it out tonight and worked like a charm.
Followed your demonstration to a T and replayed as I cooked for each step and it come out perfect. Thank you!!!!
Yeeeessss! It’s so good! I’m glad you enjoyed it.

WOW!!! Thank you for sharing your video!! You do a fantastic job giving important details and tips without going overboard. I too have a BGE and recently bought a Blackstone...so your video will definitely come in handy as I explore its potential. I may add a few peas and carrots to the rice as well as a little lemon squeeze to the shrimp and mushrooms to the steak. Thank you again for going the extra mile to create and share your videos!! 😀👍
Thank you for the very kind comment. I am happy to have you along for the ride.
One of the best Blackstone videos I’ve seen!!!
Thank you!!!
Thank you! That really means alot!
After looking at numerous hibachi recipes, loved the no nonsense easy instructions on this so decided to give it a try to celebrate my granddaughters birthday. It could not have turned out better, everyone was raving about it and I had a great time cooking it. For my meats I cooked chicken and steak and used the hibachi glaze. I got a little heavy handed with the sesame oil so my only recommendation for newbies like me, go easy on it and add more if necessary. Great job, great video, and love the dad jokes as a bonus...LOL.
Thanks for taking the time to come back and leave a comment, James. I’m glad you and the family enjoyed the meal.
Sesame oil is like Old Spice after shave - a little goes a long way. 🤣🤣
If you can find it, try toasted sesame oil. It's much more mellow.
Best video I’ve seen on this! Gives me a little more confidence in trying this! Thanks!
Thanks for the awesome complement. I’m a school teacher so hopefully those skills show in my videos.
I've made Hibachi on the Blackstone a few times. I followed your recipe. The sesame oil and teriyaki glaze were the ticket. Thanks!
Yes! They both totally change the flavor profile. I’m glad you enjoyed it!
Looks like a winning recipe...y'all. From an Alabama neighbor. One of the first recipes I'm planning on my new Blackstone griddle.
My favorite Recipe yet for the flat top grill! Nicely done!
Thank you! It’s a family favorite for sure!
Awesome!!! Just got my grill for Father's Day over the weekend and cannot wait to do this!!!
That’s awesome! I have several videos and I add more every week so be sure to subscribe and turn on notifications.
How have your cooks been going? Do you have any specific video requests?
Excellent! This is one of the best videos on the subject.
Thank you! I really appreciate it. I’m a school teacher so I’m used to providing instruction.
Wonderful cook! Can't wait to try it. New to the griddlin' thing!
Thank you! I post new ideas every week or two so be sure to subscribe!
Just got my blackstone a week ago. I’ve only made breakfast so far. It’s roughly the size of your flat top and this was the video I’ve been really looking for. Thank you!!! I’ll let you know how the cook goes.
That’s great! We love our griddle. Make sure you subscribe and click the notifications bell. I post at least two new recipes each month!
Awesome looking plate…great job! All of your food is perfectly seared too. Great video!
Thanks! This was a good one for sure!
Very nice! That looks absolutely delicious. Thanks for sharing 👍
Thank you! I’m glad you liked it.
Looks delicious!! I think
I’m ready to give it a shot!!
Very helpful! I’m getting a griddle next week and this will be my first cook! Wife’s request. Subscribed.
Nice! Make sure you cook the rice the day before and leave it in the fridge so it can dry out a little. Fresh rice gets mushy when you try to make fried rice.
Absolutely delicious! Loved it. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you! It’s my pleasure. Please consider subscribing and turning on notifications. The Smothered Grilled Chicken is another great video!
That post is awesome thanks for it! I'm shopping for my Blackstone grill now.
Thanks! I appreciate it!
Finally, a nice & clean video to watch & appreciate. Video is well done with great narration to influence the process of cooking such a well presented dish. 😂
Thank you for taking the time to leave a kind comment!
By far the easiest and best hibachi recipe I've followed so far! I messed up the first time and used regular soy instead of low sodium and it was wayyyyy too salty haha. Second round was beyond perfect!
Thanks! I really appreciate the kind comment!
I want ALL of that haha. Great video and the instructions were clear and easy to follow.
It was so good! I’m glad you found it helpful.
Oh my goodness. That looks incredible!
It really is! You have to try it!
Everything Look So Delicious!
Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank!
Ok looks delicious, In new to the griddle cooking but I'm gonna have to try that our myself pretty soon
It’s a crowd pleaser for sure!
Props to you for washing (and mentioning!) the utensils after dropping the raw protein. So many people don't bother with that crucial step!
Thank you! Better safe than sorry!
The spatulas only need to reach 150 degrees. After flipping fried food there is nothing uncooked.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat y dont you just use another spatula for your raw fish or another utensil and delete that step of washing your spatulas .....great job looks wonderful
@@larryhernandez1436 I never assume everyone had multiple spatulas.
Love the video. I'm a Georgia boy also. Vidalia onions for sure.. Waiting on my Blackstone Griddle to come in and looking forward to following you. I've subscribed so keep them coming.
It’s always good to have other Georgian followers! Let me know if you ever have any questions.
LEGIT! We loved it!
That’s great! I’m glad it went well for you too!
Lovely and amzing thanks for sharing this amazing fried rice shrimps recipe
Thanks! It is so good! Let me know if you try it!
That looks amazing!
Thank you!
Been wanting to give this a try will definitely try it soon! Might add some chicken in there too.
We usually add chicken also! It’s so good!
Awesome, I must try stir fry, thanks for sharing 😊
Let me know how it turns out!
Congrats on your garden man. That punch line was great lol 😂. Keep up with the great videos!!!!
😂😂😂 Thanks!
Great job with the video, keep up the great work!!
Thanks! I’m going to do my best to post weekly videos!
Looks fantastic!
Thank you!
Good work man. Thank you
I appreciate it. I’m glad you enjoyed it.
Looks Really Good!😊
Thank You So Much!
Thank you. I appreciate it.
Very nice but I would suggest adding your garlic much later. Once it’s fragrant (30-45 seconds) it’s done. Adding it so early in the cook risks burning it.
You make it look so easy! I have been wanting to try hibachi, now I feel like I can do it!!
You can definitely do it! Just make sure you have all ingredients ready before you start!
Very well done, thank you for this.
Thank you! I appreciate it.
Looks great! I'm going to prepare this for my family this week!
It’s so good! I actually switched to use Veri Veri Teriyaki sauce.
Great video! I just got a Blackstone griddle and can't wait to try this out!
Yes! You are going to love it! Let me know if you have any questions. He sure to check out the cleaning video.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat will do!
Looks awesome!
Thanks! It was!
Love the egg. I have 2. The griddle adds to cooking outside all the time.
Yes! They are a great combo!
Looks amazing!
Thanks! We love it!
made this last night and it was so good, can't wait to see more of your videos!
Great! We are making it tomorrow night!
Great video! Hoping to learn how to cook up some good stuff. You make it look too easy.
Nobody nails it their first time! You learn more and more each time you cook! You’ve got this! I’m still learning myself!
I was thinking at the end, you would mix it all together. I like how it is served in separate bowls
I keep it all separate so people can choose what they want to add to their plate.
Incredible!
Thanks Chris. I’m more excited about this channel than the other one. 😂😂 Some videos will be moved over here from the other channel so you will get to skip some weeks viewing. Haha.
Amazing. Thanks for sharing.
My pleasure!
Very nice presentation! My husband just bought a black stone griddle for me, im very exited to cook on it. I’m like you about washing spatulas, but I saw one comment from food safety instructor that there no need to wash it. I’m still going to leave spatulas flat on the griddle to kill bacteria with heat lol
He is correct. Enjoy your griddle.
if you spread out the rice on a sheet pan to cool after cooking it lessens the chance of food borne illnesses. Great recipe, gonna use it today!!! I have the same blackstone, fuggin dope!
Thanks! I hope yours turned out well!
Looks delicious!
Thank you! We love it!
Thanks brother. New to the Blackstone game!
My pleasure! Make sure you watch my cleaning video. It’s important to prevent rust.
Looks great sir thank you
Thank you! We love hibachi night!
Hoisin sauce and lobster sauce are other options. I like a little green onion and green peas as garni in the rice. I might dice up a shrimp or two and some chicken for the rice as well - extra flavor. Nice job! Love my blackstone griddle - have a GMG smoker and a weber gas grill. Most cooking is done outside, unless it's really storming, and even then we might have something on the smoker grill.
Thanks for the tips. I’ll try them out. I love cooking outside too!
Awesome video, thanks
Thank you!
Looks good brother!
Thanks! I really appreciate it.
bravo on washing the utensils.. I always wonder if I'm the only one as it is never shown or mentioned in videos lol
Well done my man!
Thank you, Chris!
Just got a BlackStone for Wife(Mother'sDay)... Thanks GreatVideo!!!! New Sub.
That’s great! You are going to love it! Thanks for following along!
Great video!!! Love me some avocado oil!!!!
Thanks! Me too!
Thanks for the cooking tips along with the recipe! Looks delicious!
Definitely jealous I was not your neighbor while you made this haha
Thanks! It’s a good one for sure! Crowd pleaser.
Loved the dad jokes, chief, nice touch, wish more folks would go the extra step and do that.
Thanks for the inspiration and keep on trucking!
Thanks! I stopped doing the dad jokes due to no feedback. I assumed people didn’t like it. I’ll start adding them back in.
Good job love the video
Thanks. I really appreciate it!
I have a big old two-burner cast iron griddle coming in tomorrow and I can't wait! It's not the same as a blackstone but I'm excited to have a bigger work surface than my tiny current one (which made some alright food). It's for my gas burning stove. Definitely going to try some of your techniques!
That’s exciting! I love getting new cooking tools!
Makin me hungry!
Now I’m getting hungry too!
My mouth was watering lol
Mine too! Thanks
Awesome video thank you so much we really want to try this recipe do you have a certain amount of rice and measurements for seasoning you used
Thank you! This is the largest portion of rice listed on the cooking instructions on the Mahatma rice bag. I don’t have measurements for the seasonings. I just kinda eyeball it. Sorry.
Good video thanks.
Thanks, Zach!
Looks amazing! When do you clean your griddle after you cook?
I clean it after we are done eating! Don’t let your food get cold while you clean the griddle!
That hardcore carnivore rub is legit. Love that rub
It’s my favorite for steak for sure!
Im a hibachi chef . And i love the video . Looks great and i can say you do better than some chef i work with lol 🤣
Thank you! I’m always looking to learn so please provide constructive feedback!
@nikkoyungug what type of rice should I use? Jasmine?
Looks amazing.
Thanks! We love it. Just had it again last week.
@@GrillThisSmokeThat I just got a black stone for Christmas! Watching your videos getting excited to use it for the first time. 👍🏼
@@FrankA-973 Heck yeah! Great gift! I hope you subbed. I’ll have more content coming soon. The weather has been bad lately.
Looks Great 👍 👌
Thank you!
i am a trained level 2 hibachi chef and i approve 👍🏼
Thank you! That really means a lot! Any tips for improvement are welcome.
Yes you should definitely cook the rice the day before.
I agree! It’s way easier to work with if it’s had a day to dry out.
I've seen some that like to cook the egss in the rice, mentioning the eggs coatings the rice better, your thoughts?
Nice video! One suggestion, do the sesame oil a couple minutes before it's done cooking. It burns quick and loses flavor if put on too early.
I definitely add it later in the process. Thanks for the tip!
Told him the same thing about the glaze .
😋😋😋
Where did you find the spatula holder? That is awesome 👌
It’s Blackstone brand and we found it at Walmart. A lot of people ask that question.
Looks delicious. Do you mind sending a link for that spatula holder?
Thanks! Sure thing. Here you go! amzn.to/3oqP4hn
My Georgia boy! Love your videos btw. What part of GA you from?
Originally from near Augusta. Currently near Atlanta.
Yummly
Thank you so much
just leave the spatulas on the cook top for about 10 seconds or so, it'll heat up to kill any cross contamination bacteria.
Yep! That works too but people freak out! Haha.
Great video and love that spatula accessory.... but.... season the back of your grill.
Thanks!
Nice video I have a question where did they get those griddle spatula holder from
It’s called the Blackstone Griddle Tool Holder. They are sold at Walmart.
Nice video. I appreciate you cleaning your spatulas, it’s amazing how many other videos I watch of people cross contaminating all over the place.
Thanks. I think leaving them on the griddle for a bit would work too.
You should try oyster sauce. Very good!
I e heard that. I’ll have to pick some up.
❤
Use Jasmine rice and you can cook it right before you put it on the griddle. No need to let it sit for hours.
I do use Jasmine and in my tests it still needs to sit.
Nice spoon
Thank you. It’s my fav.
For those of us new to griddling, maybe showing more of the temperatures everything was cooked at.
Thanks for the suggestion. I cook on low or medium most of the time. Only use high for searing.
Mouth watering 😋Looked very good 👍 new blackstoner here going to try the hibachi this wkend. What kind of steak did you use?
Thank you! The best is filet but I also like ribeyes. Strips can be good but are tough if you don’t get a good cut.
Check out the Smothered Grilled Chicken video. It’s amazing too!
👌
Thanks!
yummy
You have to try it! It’s so good!
Thumbs up for the dad jokes!
I’ll have to add them back into future videos. I stopped doing them because I didn’t get any feedback! I love dad jokes.
Now im going to buy a 36" Blackstone😃
Yes! The 36” is a great size!
