I like the look of this Blazer better than others. Reliability will tell the tale. For half the price of the 2019 Blazer, I purchased a new 2011 Kia Sorento (built in West Point, GA) back in 2010. After more than eight years and 80k miles, I have come out of pocket for routine maintenance and one battery. That's all! Let's see GM perform this way.
I have a 2004 Saturn Vue with 110k miles with only two non maintenance repairs over it s life....my brother had 220k on his before he traded it in. Both built at Spring Hill TN plan. I don't know if I'd buy a Blazer or not but with this track record I certainly wouldn't NOT buy one.

I would choose the Equinox, because it's cheaper. A few years from now, I might get a used 2018 or newer one. Some are pretty well priced below $25k. I would want an all wheel drive model.

I own an Equinox but test drove the Blazer. The Blazer is more nimble and the ride is more compliant than the Equinox in my opinion. Ironically, I thought the 2.5 4 cylinder Blazer was smoother than the 6 cylinder Blazer.
I'm in a 2008 equinox the new Blazer is basically the same size. Which isn't great for the price. I was really wanting the Blazer but will probably look at the traverse or GMC Acadia.
I don't see GM selling much of these blazers and rightfully so, what a big swing and miss. Their aim should have been the 4 runner, Jeep grand Cherokee, Explorer, Durango, all with rear drive, V6, V8 options, maybe body on frame or Jeep like platform, various 4wd systems, that's what the Blazer name deserves, not this car based garbage. Chevy killed the blazer name by turning it into a fwd crossover. It doesn't even have a true 4wd system. It's either fwd or awd. They just went in a completely different direction from what the blazer used to be.

Dealership duct taped the broken part which is on indefinite backorder. They refused me a loaner and sent me on my way. Still not functional nor safe. At second shop. It’s a known problem with no fix in sight. Still no resolution...GMC is the culprit and not authorizing assistance ..... 1,144 miles. Brand. New. Car. BBB complaint filed.

I love poor math! Current auto assembler in Mexico is $8/hour. The country has state run healthcare which cost a company like GM about $8/hour. A new auto worker starts around $16-18/hour in the U.S., so a Mexican auto worker makes a similar wage as does a U.S. worker.

Get an Honda Pilot or a Toyota Highlander or a Subaru ascent or even the new Ford Explorer.

The difference is just the engine and the price. Blazer is 40k or more for the RS. Equinox is like 30 ish loaded.

When they redesigned the equinox, they shrank it by shortening the wheelbase. The blazer is built on the old equinox wheelbase of 112 inches
