I've had 3 vento r4 scoots and got a lithium not long ago and it has the cheap pipe that's got the pinkish can on it and no name and what you described is exactly what doing. It's like taking off in 3rd gear in a car then it gets going after about 10mph. All my other ventos were peppy all the way up to over 40mph. Ive got a extra motor off a beamer and gonna put the stock muffler back on the vento for now till I get build up cash.

So, my 139qmb currently has a rolling wrench 72cc bbk kit and a fake yoshimura exhaust. Currently looking to buy the naraku kit that rolling wrench makes. I’m still on stock rollers and springs and all. What I’ve noticed is it tries to over rev and push past the stock roller weights. Currently got a rpm gauge ordered, I plan to keep it under 8500-9000 rpm. Should I raise to a 1500rpm stall? I’m mainly building the bike for reliability
Hi :) I have areox 50cc stock engine, stock carb. Yasuni Z muffler. Polini variator with 5.6g rollers and polini clutch with yealow small springs and blue 22kg main spring. Its not going till 25km/h. After 25km/h it is very good accelarating and going 80km/h top spees. I looked at variator, it seems going up to fast at low rpm. May it be that rollers to heavy?

I hit my rev limiter instantly at 8500rpm what do you suggest to lower the cvt to not tach out? I have a beast mode tuner which is adding more fuel 15 percent at all the rpm ranges.
Hello again sir, what parts do you recomend out of the box, certainly power increse, faster take of, cvt wise on a MBK dead stock, on the cvt clucth and springs, troque spring and roller weights?
Ok so i have a exhaust bon mine so far i put the yellow contra spring and clutch spring first but i didn't like it for couple reasons so i went with the red Contra spring and clutch spring but im about to put in a 80cc motor with same spring in it i hope it has more power then

My bike is fully stock what would be your first mode for a bit more acceleration without sacrificing tooo much top end . Variator kit ? Rollers ? Exhaust ? Combination ?

Great video! However I'm in southeast Asia. I already removed the glazing of the clutch's housing and shoes with an 80 grid sand paper, but it still grabbing the clutch late, I'de like it much sooner. The shoes are still 3 mm high, so I guess less than 50% worn... Is there a good online source to order rollers for the variator, shoe springs for the clutch, higher shoes, etc, according to the scooter brand and model?
@@Scooterswapshop Thanks for the reply! Great. Now, I have a Suzuki Hayate SS 125 FI of 2014 (UW125FSC-I), I think it's similar to the Burgman UH125. The variator rollers are 13 g, 22 mm diameter and 14 x 14. Looking into getting 14 g or even 15, I don't really mind losing top speed, I want power with smoothness. As for the cluctch. I finally opened the 34 mm hub nut, the clutch shoes, are stuck AF. Simply do not expand. Leaving them overnight with lub on the pins (They won't move!) to see if it helps. I'm looking at sourcing shoes to pick up at 1500 or less, I want it to be very progressive. I looked into your site quickly (it's 2.30 am here) and you don't have my model. Can you help? Should I open an account? G9
hey iv got an Aprilia sr 50 R Carb model with the Extra V2 exhaust , 5.5g rollers and had a 66 jet put in the carb. The bike starts up fine but taking off from a stop and up to 15mph or so it feels like there isnt any power. Once i hit 15mph you can feel the ooomph it gets up to 40mph no problem. What if I have a Chinese GY6 50cc engine with 80cc bbk and aftermarket exhaust with Keihin carburetor and higher gear ratio to get better top end. I installed a 70cc kit and feels like I can't get a right carburetor adjustment (pwk21mm), but I just noticed when I rev the engine on main stand it revs full throttle,. But when I ride it goes up to 50kmh, about half throttle then It bogs down ,. Could it be a cvt,. I don't think it's jetting because no matter what carb adjustments I do it's about the same ,. Hi im a big fun of u guys following on many places... anyway i was wondering if i could get some help.... im having a problema with my yamaha aerox, and i dont know what to do. I bought a variator malossi mhr and the revs go high af and she doesn't move, i also changed the springs from clutch to stronger ones and changed the rolers to 4.9 and 3.9gr and she is barely in the same, i also want to get a new exaust like yazuni z, what should i do to use the new variator? Should i buy a contra spring stronger and open more the carburator to get more fuel? My idea its to make her have more power to climbs and ofc little more top speed. PS: She still at 50cc that's the only thing i dont want to change.
Best bet is contact who you bought your parts from. When you buy from us we provide support we don't give help direct on any other companies parts as there are fakes and wrong parts sold non stop. and we also don't want to step on shops toes on helping their customers if the shop Doesn't provide the help you may want to ask your self why do you shop there... and maybe you should be shopping with us as we ship WORLD WIDE. price may be a little more due to shipping but you get Support.
I have a 50cc that i put a big bore in. I have 6.5 gram rollers. I have a yellow clutch spring that IS NOT installed yet. My CVT screamsssss at top speed. What should i change ? Clutch spring? Contra? Lighter rollers ? I also have an exhaust on. I up jetted the stock carb. Again, i have yellow clutch springs and contra that i wanna install

So here's a question. I have a Kymco 50cc quad. I am planning on installing a 60cc big bore kit. The kit description states that the kit will add low end torque, not any more over rev than stock. Do I install a torque contra and heavier variation weights??? this will keep everything working in that lower rm range correct? Thanks, and great video

Good evening! Just recently added all new 18 inch rollers, kevlar belt, 5 clutch shoe pad, clutch bell and contra spring all by malossi about 1 month ago on 2008 suzuki burgman 400. I changed the final gear oil with oil filter, changed the air filter and added new ngk spark plug. Finally added gasket sealant to where the header and muffler pipe connects. Now I am to get the bike up to 6000 rpms and clutch engages at 40-45 mph from start without any bogged down effects. What else do you recommend that I do and am I on the right track to being very quick off the line? Thanks in advance!
Hey Brandon! Thanks for all the info over the years, it's helped my prebug do a cool 50mph. I noticed in some comments you mention the Polini variator is flawed. Do you have a video explaining this in more detail? I can't seem to fully variate, no matter what sort of tweaking I do to my setup. Thanks!
I don’t have a video. The angle of the ramp and pulley in relation to the boss length is wrong. It’s not easy to explain but you can’t ever get it tuned properly no matter what you do
Hey. I've got a piaggio neg with a leovince exhaust. I changed the clutch springs and rolls to the ones that came with the exhaust. I also changed the torque spring to a malossi one. I changed the carb main jet to 80 from a 75. When I start going the scooter just boggs until like 8k rpms and then it lifts off nicely but its like unrideable. I have no clue what rpm the parts that I changed are set to. What parts should I try to change?
If you took off at a way too high rpm, try use less stiffer centrifugal springs. If that's not enought you can either use heavier rollers, or a less stiffer contra spring.
It depends on your Setup, for example if you only have a performance exhaust you should have medium springs but if you go for a bit bore kit you should go for hard springs

If i have a Honda SH 125i and i just want to change the rollers, contra spring. Would it interfere with the performance of the cylinder/piston? Or would i also need a sport exhaust??
The contra and rollers have zero to do with the cylinder and exhaust. you do want them to coincide but they wont damage or effect each in a way that's harmful. if you have any more questions on parts paul could set you up with all the things you need feel free to email Paul@scooterswapshop.com mention the you tube comment he will get you all hooked up!

Hey! Do you know why this happens? So i had stock 50cc and technigas exhaust, revs up to 9500rpm, used 5.0g rollers. Changed to mk2 racing, c21 pipe, 24pwk carb, etc... I put red malossi contra spring but it needs heavier rollers than with stock setup, 5.25g. Revs up to 14-15k rpm
Your revs are way too high. I would suggest working with the shop you got all your parts from as it’s a good amount of back and fourth and they know your engine setup. Your overrevving. You’d need to go over the entire setup top to bottom to make sure it’s right.

Yo, I need info on the best setup for a Burgman 400, it warms up around 2,000 at the highest idle in the coldest of climates and yest it is limited to 900 RPM and I want to have the transmission engage right after the highest point of rpm for warm up as well as get a better top speed over all. I know I can Darkside it with a 155/65R13 and a tire shop that will let me mouth it myself (I am a trained tire tech and know what I am doing when Darksiding a bike and willing to help if others want to Darkside and when it comes to bikes that have smaller rims dark siding is the only way a tire has the speed rating to safely ride when top speed is reached for example a 150/70/13 M/C motorcycle tire speed rating is 68MPH but my Burgman 400 maxes out at the moment at 112 MPH at 9,000 RPM however it takes longer to get there and I have to ride longer on back roads to break it in because it rubs and high rates of speed can rub down the tire to much at one time and blow out the biggest a 02 to 06 model 400 should have on it is a 140/60/13 M/C. That's why Darksiding is better in this application) I need faster speeds at lower rpm and more torque because when merging on as well as long distance on the interstate it is better to get up and away from a bad driver where they are far behind you where if they wreck it's far back behind and away from you rather in front of you making you sit in traffic or being in an accident as well as if you need to get over, speeding up and getting over is better than slowing down then trying to merge over which slowing down can get you steam rolled here in Atlanta which I have had to jump on the line between 2 lanes to keep from getting ran over by SUVs with drivers who text rather than look where they're going and have to slow down then gun it just to get over to keep from missing my exit, I have never had an issue on larger displacement bikes because the torque is there. If it can hit 112 at a lower RPM then 55MPH, 65MPH and 70MPH will be at lower RPM which will make the engine last longer as well as get even better MPG while the added torque makes the bike more capable of getting up to speed, merging, getting away from hazardous drivers as well as make the ride a bit safer. I know I'm putting Dr. Pully 21G sliders on it but I also need info on clutch springs and the other spring on the rear to give me the best setup plus my 1/4 Mile drag times and lap times will benefit because yes I do got to the drag strip and track with my daily scooter from time to time which as funny as it sounds I get a lot of respect questions and request about my 400 from and a few of the guys that that asked me about have bought themselves a Burgman 400 which they all tell me they love but have the same complaints of not enough torque for Atlanta and saying if it was to have more torque as well as get even better than 100MPG then it would be the ultimate setup.

I’m new to this so any advice/recommendations are grately appreciated.
Did you open the top of the carb? If so I would check to make sure the diaphragm is seated correctly in the grooves. If not, then the vacuum piston won’t move up all the way when you give the bike throttle, causing incomplete acceleration.

Hi the belt is not splicing you likely have the clutch and or rollers tuned wrong. No real way to diagnose this as we don’t know what scooter you have or what brand these parts are. Blue white yellow etc doesn’t really say as each company uses different colors for different things.

Hi :)
I have areox 50cc stock engine, stock carb.
Yamaha c3 50f polini h.s. variator 6.9 rollers polini air filter , naraku clutch bell, stock belt ,clutch , and contra spring, twobrothers exhaust . I hit my rev limiter instantly at 8500rpm what do you suggest to lower the cvt to not tach out? I have a beast mode tuner which is adding more fuel 15 percent at all the rpm ranges.
cvt tuning we have many videos about this!
Dude I got the same issue from similar setup on my 50cc vino. I honestly think it might just be the belt
Hello again sir, what parts do you recomend out of the box, certainly power increse, faster take of, cvt wise on a MBK dead stock, on the cvt clucth and springs, troque spring and roller weights?
Hey just wanna ask wat is the best clutch spring and center spring for 90cc dio? Thanks
all depends on the setup.
Ok so i have a exhaust bon mine so far i put the yellow contra spring and clutch spring first but i didn't like it for couple reasons so i went with the red Contra spring and clutch spring but im about to put in a 80cc motor with same spring in it i hope it has more power then
Grwat video this the same concept for 4 stroke . Ive got a yanaha xmax 300. Im very bew to alll of this tuning world . But im just a bit curious as to how i can get a bit more out of my xmas .I've watched so many conteadicting vidoes about variator kits and roller weights .
My bike is fully stock what would be your first mode for a bit more acceleration without sacrificing tooo much top end . Variator kit ? Rollers ? Exhaust ? Combination ?
Firts exhaust, bigger jet , and a sport filter, on a 300 that might even do enough of a difference for your taste. :)
You should do a video of 70cc kit, racing pipe, clutching what weights to use, I have 2004 Zuma 70cc kit, Yasuni R unrestricted pipe, 1500 contra 1,500 rpm spring not sure of weights? I'm thinking 6.5-7.5? Stock carb with jet kit 85 main

Heyy,I got a gilera runner 172cc malossi and I get a flat spot when setting off....17 n 16g rollers

Should i buy a contra spring stronger and open more the carburator to get more fuel?
My idea its to make her have more power to climbs and ofc little more top speed.
PS: She still at 50cc that's the only thing i dont want to change.

Do you have a video explaining this in more detail? I can't seem to fully variate, no matter what sort of tweaking I do to my setup. Thanks!

I changed the carb main jet to 80 from a 75. When I start going the scooter just boggs until like 8k rpms and then it lifts off nicely but its like unrideable. I have no clue what rpm the parts that I changed are set to. What parts should I try to change?
call the shop and Paul can get you the parts you need!
If you took off at a way too high rpm, try use less stiffer centrifugal springs. If that's not enought you can either use heavier rollers, or a less stiffer contra spring.
What are your thoughts on the stage six over range kit?
i love it. when they are actually producing it.
Which is the Best clutch spring medium soft or hard,
It depends on your Setup, for example if you only have a performance exhaust you should have medium springs but if you go for a bit bore kit you should go for hard springs

Hi, I have a ruckus 50cc with intake and ssp-g exhaust. I believe I have the jetting correctly 38sj/82mj and needle shim. It idles and accelerates perfectly but can’t get it to go over 30mph. (Top speed was 42-43mph with only the intake). Any advice on the rollers/sliders weights, as well as the springs? Also, I weight 160lbs.

I recently purchased a ruckus w/gy6 swap. The guy claimed it was big bore to 180cc...how am I able to tell if it’s been big bore? Also, it has a yellow contra spring with 11 grams sliders and I was topping out at 45mph so I decided to add 14 grams and now it’s hitting 50 mph. Should I add 16 grams?
tear it apart and measure the piston and stroke not simple
Should my clutch engage before the belt starts moving down. SA50P, GY6 clutch and bell, Pollini variator 6.9 grams, clutch and torque springs 1k, oem vry thin else, (fj 88), i feel like i get better take off from oem torque spring, but maybe my rollers? Power about 1 Mississippi off the line, i want it more off the line! Help plz...
For the belt to move it needs to have friction so all depends on what part you are talking about we have multiple videos on this.
That’s a great video! But i am still doing something wrong... here is my set up: 2004 Derbi Atlantis Bullet Piaggio engine, 50cc stock cylinder, 17.5 Naraku electric choke carb with 34 pilot jet and 90 main jet, air brass restrictor still on , Malossi 2000 multivar variator with 5 gram roller weights, did not used the stiffer white contra spring since its 50cc, polini clutch with replaced green stiffer springs, stock air box with malossi red sponge inside, YASUNI R exhaust derestricted....and going only 46 miles an hour 🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️ PLEASE HELP!!!
It’s cus you’re running a stock cc. You’re bike is pushing too much for your stock cylinder so upgrade to a 70cc and you should be good
Im bone stock bike does 67kms (41mph) but I’m building it right now with a malossi multivar Variator kit, 70cc Athena race kit, derestricted yasuni R pipe, 7g rollers, 98 jet and very hard clutch springs 9.6k rated
@@Serkan-Ipek I figure it out! My 2 problems ...my kevlar Malossi belt was too long and the main jet too big. Now I have main jet 84 and stock piaggio belt and top speed is 59 miles or 94 km/h 😉
@@Serkan-Ipek still 50 cc
ALL TAKEN CARE OF?

Hi I’ve got a Yamaha aerox with a stage 6 replica exhaust (carbon). It revs and goes but goes slow until it hits 20mph as soon as 20mph hits it shoots off really quick and goes 55mph I was wondering what I can do so it goes quick from the start?
NonCopyRighted you need to adjust your clutch springs engagement. I’d buy a good clutch that’s adjustable. Yours is grabbing too soon
Did you solve the issue I’ve kinda got the same issue now

Your calling after hours or the wrong number. I’m there every day and I hear all the calls get picked up. We’re literally the only 2 stroke scooter shop that answers calls
You put out some great content, I just revived a 2015 Prescott 50i , it has 200mi on it and all stock, I inspected the CVT and it looks ok, bike only gets about 32mph top now, should I just replace the rollers and clutch springs in the stock variator and clutch, or should I get a inexpesive amazon racing variator and clutch and upgrade off of that? TY again!
Never amazon parts...
Hello guys, i have on my 50cc scooter a stock engine, a performance exhaust, performance cdi , performance ignition coil, carburator 17.5 jet 70, and i changed the clucth whit torque spring blue 1000rpm and and clucth spring blue 1000rpm and the belt its slipping, based on my setup could you help me what torque spring and clucth springs to use?
Ps.4g rollers
Hi the belt is not splicing you likely have the clutch and or rollers tuned wrong. No real way to diagnose this as we don’t know what scooter you have or what brand these parts are. Blue white yellow etc doesn’t really say as each company uses different colors for different things.
@@Scooterswapshop whit all the other parts in place, can you recomend a viable setup, torque spring, clucth springs and roller weight?
