Dude, you rock I had never seen a GFCI outlet without the switches until last night when a bad electrical device blew out and my bathroom tripped. Turns out the other bathroom had a GFCI with the switches and it had needed to be reset many thanks.
Thank you for the big help from New Mexico at 11pm! Found the in line GFCI for my outdoor outlet powering an electric fence keeping livestock in. It so happened to be in a random bedroom....my gratitude is owed to you alone brother.
This was super helpful. I have no GFCI Outlets in my house, but every outlet is labeled GFCI. Turns out the breakers are all in the sub-panel. Thanks for your help!
Massive thank you. Porch outlet says GFCI on it with no reset button. That’s the outlet our Xmas lights are hooked up to and we had a storm. Didn’t notice a reset on the breaker switch either so after you mentioned builders might only out a GFCI reset button receptacle on the first one in the circuit, I checked out my garage, and sure enough that one was tripped. Thanks again!
Thank you very much for this information!! I was going crazy wondering why all bathroom outlets in my restrooms weren’t working. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!
Thanks! I honestly couldn't not even imagine the reset could be so far away from the outlet that was tripped! I was looking up all over upstairs for a reset and it was located on a downstairs bathroom!
Same for me…reset outlet on the other side of the house.
BIG Thank you! My outlet had a sticker that says, "GFCI protected" but no button. I went to the local Ace Hardware store and they could not understand why there was no button. I went ahead and replaced the outlet only to find that it still did not work. Then today another similar outlet I realized wasn't working when I tried to use my vacuum cleaner. Frustrated, I went online and watched your video. And what a simple fix. I was about to call an electrician because the outdoor outlet that I wanted to start using because I bought an electrical grill wasn't working. And now that one works too.
Thanks. That was very helpful. Just what I needed since I couldnt figure out how to reset GFCI w/o a button.
Thanks! My garage outlet went out... and it had an outlet with no reset button (although a sticker said GCFI certified). Per your video.. I went to a different outlet and noticed that the one of the outlet's reset switch was out and red... I pressed it in.. and VOILA... my switch is working again.
THANKS!!!! liked and subed.
Thank you!! My outside outlets don’t have the test and reset buttons but after a few tries, I found the outlet inside that had the right ones.
Omg can this really be this easy?! I'm watching my friends cat and her plug doesn't work and her daisy chain cords that will kill me or her one day, I definitely know it's not the breaker because I know those are all good. True breakers labels suck, my apartment building it's all mismatched, but thankfully you can easily tell which ones have been triggered. Thanks for the video, can't wait to try it when I go there later!
Half my kitchen stopped working didnt have a gfci outlet whatsoever Reset button on the breaker ( due to your video) then i started moving different breaker switch on and off because the main one didnt work and non of them is labeled but then bingo their it was so happy now i can go back to cooking my fries in the airfryer 👍
Saved me a call to the electrician. Didn't know why the electricity didn't come back after flipping the circuit breaker. Who knew I had to reset the GFCI outlet with no button with another GFCI outlet with buttons.
Damn man, thanks so so much! Was stressing me out! 😂 my garage outlet and outlet on my back porch wasn’t working. I check the breaker and it was fine. Was blowing my mind. It happened right after a bad storm so I figured that was something to do with it. But couldn’t find a reset button tripped. I went to my front porch plug hit the test and reset and viola fixed! Thanks!
Glad to help
Thank goodness. I found mine in my first bathroom. I was going to call an electrician. All my bathroom receptacles upstairs were not working.
Thanks! This fixed my problem. I found the reset! ⚡️🔌
Thank you. You solved my bathroom outlet problem.
Thanks!
Found my master bath GFCI outlets were connected "upstream" to the guest Bath outlet (the one with the reset button).
Thank you. I was going crazy trying to figure out why my master bath has no GFCI switch, by my 2nd BR does. Stupid. The circuit breake box reset did the trick.
Thank you. Could not figure this out. Totally makes sense now.
Great!!!!!! Thanks for this. Saved us a service call
This was exactly what I needed, thank you!

Thank you for the video. The bathroom outlets and the outdoor outlets are not working. I watched your video and reset the outlets in the kitchen which has reset button. Did not help. I am still trying to find that one outlet which should has that reset button connecting to the bathroom and outdoor outlets but could not find. Can you guys please write more location where you happen to find that one outlets controlling these outlets which does not have the reset button? I really appreciate with the help.
Thank you, 😊
Great Video!
This worked!
THANK YOU!!!❤️
My outside electrical box tripped out last winter during a bad rain. I t also tripped out half my basement. I was able to reset my basement by resetting the correct switch in my electrical box, however I have been afraid to try the outside outlit since then. I have a few stray cats I feed in my yard and want to know if it's safe or not to plug in an electric blanket warmer or water bowl warmer? I am afraid it will cause it to trip again and maybe cause a fire or something?
Can you please advise me what I should or shouldn't do? Thanks!
I have indoor outlets that's are clicking, but don't seem to be GFI outlets. They are in the same room, but in different circuits. There's no burning out sizzling sounds. No apparent arching, but periodic loud clicking. There was, for a short time, and extension cord without a grounded outlet, attached to the older circuit. Could that somehow have affected the other circuit (newer, grounded outlet with a different box) in the same room, somehow? Just weird that this clicking started in these two outlets on the same evening
OK, understand, but i have 3 double plug outlets in series. 2 of the three work fine. But one has something inside that clicked off and will not allow me to enter a plug in the one outlet. I tried turned off the switch power as each outlet has a power switch to control the ourlets. But I cannot enter a plug. What do I need to do.
I don’t have any type of reset buttons in any of my outlets and we don’t have breakers we have fuses but those fuses are replaced… so confused.
Thank you!
