In Plague Inc, the game seems to ignore your disease until you have 2 Symptoms (at which point it has a low chance of detection). As you increase the symptom count/severity, the Countries in the game will take more and more drastic steps to stop you.
On hardest difficulty, the game will eventually detect you even if you have no symptoms (usually when you're infecting your second main country) Some of the base symptoms seem to be more noticeable too, but that's just a feeling I have from playing so much. Coughing tends to be the most invisible symptom, it doesn't get noticed any earlier than if you had no symptoms even on the hardest difficulty, so it's great when you start in China. Insomnia seems to be the most noticeable (and also the worst base symptom to evolve).
@@Korvisio funny enough, you can infect the entire world with Coughing evolved and STILL not get caught. There's even an achievement for doing so (Peer Pressure), though it's a test of your patience to actually get the popup...

Yeah... did that once and after the 1 billion infections mark , death toll started rising much faster than infections ... all hosts died at 2 billion and I lost
High infectivity is what makes rate of infection skyrocket. High Severity is what makes a higher chance of detection, causing leaders to be scared and attempt to limit the access into their countries.
Lethality on the other hand, doctors won't even know unless severity is high, and is basically infectivity but it is about death.
Abilities are quite special.
Bacterial resilience is a combinatiob of heat and cold resistance, Viral Instability increases mutation chance of symptoms, Spore Burst, forces a healthy to be infected (if you get locked out of an island country, the fungus will unlock it from inside with spore burst) Symbiosis decreases severity as how parasite has raised severity from the start, Neural Atrophy just basically slows cure as how it says "Decrease concentration in performing complex tasks", Code * Interception and Radical Elements Stabilised influences cure research for nanovirus, Overload for both increases infectivity and makes the nanovirus immune to cure for weeks, drug immunity is just drug resistance 3 for nanovirus, Bioweapon has 3 special abilities so nah
