Heads up that second chest in the traversal seems to move about, on my first run it was a trap chest and the very first chest before the first encounter was the actual chest
For people still dying to the Hex of vengeful corruption in the final boss arena, I believe you cannot punch a scorn that has already been punched by your teammate, you must punch one without the debuff. Hopefully this helps. Also the Blight lanterns simply just require you to stand inside them with the imminent wish buff (I believe you need the buff to hit 0 while standing next to it unless I'm wrong) so save your ammo!!! I 2 manned the dungeon with a clanmate blind in about 2 hours and I believe that's what we came across from our experience.
Also, once you have punched your scorn, they can punch you back and transfer it back. Someone at bungle said "remember at school, we used to play tag with no tag backs, well let's do that in d2 but let's have tag backs"
Another thing. If you're going to attempt solo flawless, like me, you don't have to fully activate those blight lanterns right away. Stand in one for like 5 seconds or so, then go fully activate the other one. Once that one is done, you've already charged most of the other one, so you have more time to get there and activate both for more time during damage phase.
Use Dragons Breath for the whole dungeon. Heavy ammo was plentiful. On the second boss the ignitions knock him back so you can get the full time for damage at each fire. For encounters 2 and 3, the Scorn Chieftains spawn once you destroy the 6 blighted eyes. If you need to get ammo or just take a small rest, kill 5 of the eyes and just leave one up so you can run around easier.
The prison cell “encounter” after the first encounter.. white and orange is not the answer. The orange number is just orange cus of the torches light. To determine clockwise and counter clockwise, it is determined by which hand the skeleton is using to point towards the number. Example: 4 with a left hand pointing/on the number means 4 counter clockwise the other person should then see 2 being pointed at with the skeletons right hand for clockwise.
@@infinitedeath1384 to my knowledge the numbers and clockwise/counterclockwise changes per run, so a cell that was 2 clockwise might be 4 counterclockwise wise the next time. It’s the hands that dictate which way to turn the lock things

If you play solo, you will always spawn in the cell where you can see the white scratches. If there's 2 white scratches, 2 will be clockwise, and the rest counterclockwise, same if you see 4 white scratches. 4 clockwise, 2 counterclockwise. Basically what my point is, you just have to look at the white scratches for all the info you need to open the cells.
It bothers me when they release a dungeon / content within content and it's not free even though you bought the "content" surrounding it. That's like saying you bought season tickets to get in Six Flags but it only covers the entrance. While inside, you have to pay to get on rides.
its more like the 6 Flags Fright Fest activities. you buy the season pass to get in the park and do most other things, but the haunted houses/themed attractions are a separate fee
Stop complaining about buying content. That's how a business works they make a product you buy it. The season you buy includes all the weapons armor and activities tied to the season. This is a separate thing with uts own loot and story. Stop being broke and whiny.

Just ran it with some clan buddies. Definitely a super fun blind run dungeon. Is it fun to grind? Meh. But going in blind, and traversing the castle is super fun
I kinda the Dark Souls-y vibe with this one. I also like the theme of desire and greed with the mimic chests. Bungie execs should play this dungeon for a bit.
Me and my clan mates that were all grinding it blind and figuring everything out together were saying the same thing, and had a lot of fun running the white wolf armor sets through as well. Very big witcher/elden ring vibe for us!
One thing that I haven’t seen mentioned is that the taken Minotaurs in the ogre encounter are just there to spice up the add population. But the eyes are special because you need to destroy them to start the “winter storm” mechanic in the ogre bit, and the “punch the scorn” bit in the final encounter:
For the scorn mini-bosses let them drop the first totem then kill them. When they die they will drop a second one. And you only need to stand in them, not shoot them. Also try to kill them while they are close to the totem they put down so you can take care of both at same time. When they do come in do not stagger them as it will delay them putting down the first totem.
You don't really need to destroy the scorn turrets. You can simply stand next to them. It's like capturing zone. And on the final stand i think you don't need to shoot the eyes. Also on top an normal dps phase we didn't shoot them and it seems the time is exactly the same, but I'm not sure about that
i could be wrong but everytime ive done it it has lined up this was, the jail puzzle, the skeleton on the right side means that many locks turn clockwise, and the skeleton on the left that many locks counter clockwise.

Piece of advice about the scorn with the debuff. If it has a taken trail on it the devuffbis slresdy applied to that scorn and you have to find another one
Tip for solo play in the second boss: Wait to kill the Scorn chieftain until he spawns one, then you can get two taken turrets per phase. Meaning you can get two burning desire per phase, so get to DPS in two phases.
Love the mechanics and thought the dungeon was super fun and had a great setting. The loot on the other hand is just abysmal, such a waste. I don’t understand what the team who designed the armour was thinking, it looks like blue armour
I have to say I have never enjoyed traversing this much ever. This castle map is imo the best location/arena bungie has ever put out in the history of D2

From 9:01--9:53 there is no sound. I'm not sure if you're just not speaking right here and showing us everything, but that is incredibly rare for you to do that. So I believe that you're supposed to be speaking, but there's just no audio.
I used condition finality with apex predator on the ogre encounter. It worked wonders being able to kill the mini boss scorn easily and quickly while also doing damage when i ran out of rockets. since the boss is so big i could still trigger ignitions from conditional by hitting every pellet even from a far distance away.
One thing for the wailing Greif boss if you don’t kill the mini bosses with the turrets fast enough they actually spawn another turret so that way you can you can get all four flaming desires!
On the last encounter regarding transferring vengeance on the Scorn. If you're a Hunter running Solar, Throwing knives from a distance counts. Not entirely sure about the other's melee abilities
That final boss will be a pain to fight lol. Well, guess with something like La Monarch could be really handy. Do you have to always have all 3 or can you duplicate? If you have to have all3, Wish-ender will be a good bow to use cause of all the taken
So I'm not sure if this is right, but from what I gathered from others, the tallies are meant to be read based on the direction the skeleton is facing, not the color of the tallies.

It’s really easy to get all 4 charges for the ogre just have everyone in the middle back and when the big guys run to you it makes it easy cause the taken turrets spawn right next to the fires making it easy to get all 4

color could be different on peoples screens, after the first boss when you are locked in the cell just say that the skeleton with the head is clockwise and the skeleton without the head is counter clockwise
On the Oger to get All 4 solar orbs you just have to wait before killing the yellow bar who drops the wish When you wait he will drop 1 at some point and killing gets you a second one Do this on both sides and done
Good guide and fast with putting it out as well. Just a heads up. The secret chests don’t seem to be always on the same spot. Ours where different compared to the ones u showed.
My group found it easier to shoot the other persons eyeballs in the first encounter. Mayhaps that could help anyone who keeps missing theirs and getting shanked. We teleport in and look to the cage to our right.
By the way the secret chest keep rotating, for example after the 1st encounter I got the 1st secret chest in the castle which you have said it was empty. And the secret chest which you have found on the top of the cliff was a trap for me
Dragons breath takes out the turrets on the boss super easily on the last boss when your on the proper DPS phase just shoot fusion rifle while the two ignitions go off
It's a damn shame this cool castle themed dungeon with an Ahamkara "dragon" didn’t have armor that matches it. If only there was a set of armor that looked like it was made for slaying monsters... Hey, but that new Eververse armor ornament set looks cool I guess
Dungeon is cool, but the bosses are the same old ones we've seen for several years. That's really the only thing that disappointed me. Everything else is pretty dope though.
The one bit I need and you don't show it. Please show the WHOLE traversal section....you say back track and skirt around the mountain but WHERE I can't see where to go!
Idk if it’ll work here but uh dragon’s breath has almost like a stun quality to it so wouldn’t it be good to bring or at least have somebody bring it so they can stun bosses allowing for better dps
The final boss encounter might be the hardest final boss we’ve gotten in a dungeon. Not because of the boss itself but because you get bombarded with enemies in a small space, bosses sometimes camp the blights you need to stand on making it a sacrifice mission sometimes, the orange bars who you need to tag to get the corruption off run away from you sometimes, the giant blights on the ground that poison you get ridiculous at points, the time you need to get the bosses health down at the beginning isn’t long and other things. Let me know if you guys agree.
I definitely agree. Not only that but not sure if this is a glitch or not but we would clear the corruption, die from other means and when we respawned, the corruption was back on us and we almost always insta-died from it?
Idk how the Master Version feels like but the normal one was just way to easy imo. Especially if you're a full team. Sure it's very possible to die in the boss encounter but it's not really hard to survive either
You don't need to sacrifice. There's no time limit until after you've activated one of the taken lanterns that you capture. Punch one of the scorn to transfer the debuff, then go on one of the blight spheres on the side to avoid them. Put down a well or barricade while you wait for the scorn to die from the debuff. Then, activate both of the blight lanterns for damage phase.

You do NOT have to shoot the taken turrets. You only need to stand inside the circle until the disappear. That will remove the boss shields for dps.

I used trinity ghoul on the eyes. It will knock them all out on each side with one shot. Greatly extends damage time

That secret chest before the boss was a trap, this dungeon is crazy
You dont need to shoot the laterns just stand in the circle thats it
On the Oger to get All 4 solar orbs you just have to wait before killing the yellow bar who drops the wish
When you wait he will drop 1 at some point and killing gets you a second one
Do this on both sides and done
Good guide and fast with putting it out as well. Just a heads up. The secret chests don’t seem to be always on the same spot. Ours where different compared to the ones u showed.
They're random. Just look for the chests that aren't glowing and you're good.
I didnt have to shoot the lanterns that the scorn mini bosses spawn. just stand in the little circles around them
My group found it easier to shoot the other persons eyeballs in the first encounter. Mayhaps that could help anyone who keeps missing theirs and getting shanked. We teleport in and look to the cage to our right.
By the way the secret chest keep rotating, for example after the 1st encounter I got the 1st secret chest in the castle which you have said it was empty. And the secret chest which you have found on the top of the cliff was a trap for me
Dragons breath takes out the turrets on the boss super easily on the last boss when your on the proper DPS phase just shoot fusion rifle while the two ignitions go off
It's a damn shame this cool castle themed dungeon with an Ahamkara "dragon" didn’t have armor that matches it. If only there was a set of armor that looked like it was made for slaying monsters... Hey, but that new Eververse armor ornament set looks cool I guess
The seasonal armour is better, particularly the ornaments you unlock in ranks 70-100.
Dungeon is cool, but the bosses are the same old ones we've seen for several years. That's really the only thing that disappointed me. Everything else is pretty dope though.
The biting cold debuff does not cause a team wipe. Only the player that reaches x10 stacks dies.
So acualy on jail part one skelly is touching scratch with left hand and other touching with right hand and that’s what way wheels spin

Idk if it’ll work here but uh dragon’s breath has almost like a stun quality to it so wouldn’t it be good to bring or at least have somebody bring it so they can stun bosses allowing for better dps
The final boss encounter might be the hardest final boss we’ve gotten in a dungeon. Not because of the boss itself but because you get bombarded with enemies in a small space, bosses sometimes camp the blights you need to stand on making it a sacrifice mission sometimes, the orange bars who you need to tag to get the corruption off run away from you sometimes, the giant blights on the ground that poison you get ridiculous at points, the time you need to get the bosses health down at the beginning isn’t long and other things. Let me know if you guys agree.
I definitely agree. Not only that but not sure if this is a glitch or not but we would clear the corruption, die from other means and when we respawned, the corruption was back on us and we almost always insta-died from it?
@@enemyoffunif you get picked up while those scorn ads are there you will die because you’ll res with the debuff
Idk how the Master Version feels like but the normal one was just way to easy imo. Especially if you're a full team. Sure it's very possible to die in the boss encounter but it's not really hard to survive either
You don't need to sacrifice. There's no time limit until after you've activated one of the taken lanterns that you capture. Punch one of the scorn to transfer the debuff, then go on one of the blight spheres on the side to avoid them. Put down a well or barricade while you wait for the scorn to die from the debuff. Then, activate both of the blight lanterns for damage phase.
