Use a gentle, unscented hand soap. Then apply a liberal amount of CeraVe Moisturizing Cream in the tub to your wet hands. It sinks in quickly, and doesn't leave your hands feeling greasy. Do this every time you wash your hands, including at night right before bed until they have healed. Then as often as needed to maintain healthy, pain free hands. This product completely healed my hands. I was blown away. I have always been a big hand washer. I have very dry, sensitive, skin. So my hands were always irritated, and I would frequently have fissures the would split open and bleed. They hurt so bad! And no moisturizer ever worked to heal them until I used the CeraVe cream on my wet skin. I kid you not. After only two days of doing this my hands stopped hurting, and were soft and hydrated. I also do the exact same thing to my entire body after showering. It has entirely transformed my skin. Dr. Dray knows her stuff, lol! :)

Cerave cream is available for purchase here in Australia, but they only carry the French version. I’ve tried it but find that it’s too drying on the face after a few minutes of application. My skin does feel very soft to the touch but would continue to feel dried and uncomfortable. For that reason I cannot use this cream on my face, but I do find that it’s an excellent hand cream which absorbs rapidly into my hands and moisturise them for a long time, without causing the drying effect.

Dr. Dray... I got an eczema flare very badly and finally looked at the ingredients on the soap from target i had bought and sure enough...it said there were essential oils! Usually fragrance doesn’t bother me but the soap had essential oils and fragrance. My dermatologist also said the soap had Sodium Laurel Sulfate (which she said a lot of soaps have) that can also be an offending irritant. It was a horrible flare. I asked my dermatologist to order a patch test so i could finally find out what I’m allergic to. Anyhow..thanks again for letting me know about essential oils. My dermatologist recommended Vanicream soap and use Vaseline with cotton gloves. Cerave healing ointment was even too irritating for me. So, she recommended Vaseline. Uh...I’m so sick of having sensitive skin. I went out and spent a small fortune on high end fragrance free soaps (LaRoche Posay, Vanicream, Cerave, etc,). Thanks again for your informative videos!!

I never would have thought to use the Neutrogena Body Oil as a facial cleansing oil. I have super dry skin and alternate between the Albolene, Ponds Cold Cream Fragrance Free, and the Hada Labo Cleansing Oil as a first step to remove makeup including eye makeup. I was so curious that I had to get a bottle of the Neutrogena Body Oil fragrance free to see for myself. It really works. All you need is to pour a small amount, the size of a quarter, and use it as you would a cleansing oil on dry facial skin. It was effective yet gentle at removing all of my mascara, eyeshadow and full face of makeup including sunscreen. It rinsed off easily and left my skin soft and hydrated. I did follow with a second cleanse using La Roche Posay Tolerane Gentle Hydrating Cleanser. A little of the Neutrogena Body Oil goes a long way so remember not to use too much so you can rinse it more easily. Best yet: the bottle is larger than most cleansing oils offered and the price is budget friendly. Thank you for this wonderful alternative to the Hada Labo cleansing oil, Dr. Dray!❤

Really interesting hearing about your experience with the Neutrogena Body Oil! I am also interested in using it as a cleansing oil. I wanted to ask how it rinses off. Does it emulsify and rinse off without leaving any residue on the skin? Or does it leave a layer on the skin?

I tried the cerave moisturising cream and imo it’s not good for dry skin at all. It has a dry matte finish and doesn’t really absorb leaving my skin feeling tight and dry. It honestly feels like a ‘do nothing moisturiser’ lol. I want something that feels rich and creamy with some lipids in there that absorbs into the skin and leaves my skin feeling moisturised, dewy and soft. The la Roche one is good

You know, there are some of us out there who actually have naturally dry skin, not just "when you take showers that are too long". I wish dry skin was taken more seriously. Almost every video I find on dry skin is like this, where it's like this occasional nuisance you sometimes deal with. Those of us with serious genetic dry skin issues can't seem to find solutions that are more intensive.
