  • NO ENGINE sailing past Table Mountain to Cape Town in the ocean swell. We move to the start-line for our Atlantic crossing and share the story of an inspirational man circumnavigating the world without using an engine.
We have been sailing around the world for 6 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence. Join us as we share the highs, lows, and challenges of travelling around the world by boat, Sailing offshore across the Oceans and exploring remote locations with our own little tiny house. Boat life out at sea on the ocean and off the grid.

I like your calm, relaxed and factual commentary and real video titles. Many other U Tube channel cruising couples, drive me nuts with their, click baiting comments, and video titles. What really gets to me is the " I am so excited" " I'm so excited" over and over again" then....repetition using the word "like" like" like".

Your videos are so well done it's a pleasure to watch and helps keep the dream alive. With my boat tied at the dock and my 69th birthday coming and still working, I need videos like yours to keep me going. Grand children almost grown up and retirement on the horizon and videos like yours to pull me across the finish line, life is good.

Mat ...I have been following you and Amy and your awesome boat Florence for a year now and surviving so far with inoperable cancer and doing quite well so far I have in the last month been enquiring with many here and on Facebook and Zoom church and other places my ultimate dream to sail from England or Portugal or the Canaries or Azores across the Atlantic east to the Caribbean .. Bahamas, NYC OR Boston which is closer to my present home on the Mid Coast of Maine living in an old 1800s shipbuilders house not far from where his shipyard was... My mothers side came on the Mayflower and is related to Miles Standish and my father's side came across the Atlantic from England to start the Child Dynasty sailing into NY Harbor and Ellis Island in the shadow of the Statue of Linerty. On a Cunard ship of the day and I would really like to maybe sail into either or both of those ports on someone else's good sized sailing vessel perhaps with a walk in berth ..a stateroom not needed. And I would do this alcohol free not caring if the other passengers or crew embibed.. I am an artist and a singer songwriter and will use my time meditating.. reading... sketching and writing lyrics or prose inspired by all the aspects of my growing connection to the sea and people and Earth 🌎 I love so much...Even in Maine living in town the stars are nothing as they were on the Penobscot Bay not far from me or as they must be even more amazing far out at sea. I would spend several nights on deck just watching the heavens.. I bet I will take many photos and videos along the way without infringing on others privacy and maybe make a presentation afterwards for my kids and extended family and friends using many great photo ideas learned from seeing so many of your wonderful camera angles and focus ... I don't know how long I have at 69 with inoperable csncer and I don't have a lot of money though I have a lot of friends who might help me raise the money but I have no sailing ship yet and I f you or Amy hear of anyone or organization I might contact about my quest of a lifetime please could you let me know? I will never sail as long or as far as you three have managed but 2100 or 3,000 miles sounds more than enough for me.. thank you and Wow I am wishing you all the best passage yet to the Caribbean and home again to Englad. WOW or World Of Wonder (waves and wind) good luck... Blessing of Neptune be with you to succeed ♥️😊

Looks fantastic. hope you get good winds. PS I think you'd should have secured the rod with a wire... If a big Dorado or macrill hooks on it'll clean that line strait of... Good lock and safe sailing...
