What a wonderfully produced film. I have vicariously followed your adventure for a least 3 years. My father died yesterday aged 93. From sailing Enterprise dinghies in Poole harbour we progressed to an eBoat which we raced (rather badly) from Parkstone Yacht club. Best of luck with your future travels XX
First congratulations 🎉 Second, so sad to hear about Amy’s Dad 😢 Thirdly, just wow 😲 Wow for the adventure. Wow for making it happen, and wow for a quite stunning episode. I mean STUNNING. Beautifully put together … I’m all pleased, proud for you, happy for you, sad, emotional, envious, just so many emotions all jumbled up. Quite stunning. It is a BEAUTIFUL production. Congratulations to you both on the achievement and the quite brilliant video production and editing ❤
Absolutely a spectacular achievement. You have transcended the ranks of mere mortals. We are so sorry to hear about Amy's father. Our hearts go out to her.
Amy , my sincere condolences on your Dad's passing. Circumnavigating the world in a 12 meter sailing yacht is something very few people will ever accomplish. Your tenacity , determination, and courage in overcoming so many challenges is awe-inspiring. Many thanks for taking us along and the hours of enjoyment from following your channel. I don't know what you two will do when you reach England's shores, but you have already left your mark on the world and brought much happiness to people you will never meet in person. Best wishes as you prepare to embark on the final leg of this incredible adventure.
Didn't know how I could put into words how much this video touched me until one of my kids walked into the room, 15 seconds before the very end and asked what I was watching. I said "The best youtube video I've ever seen" and my voice broke while saying it. Amy, so sorry for your loss, but thank you both so very much for taking us along on your epic journey.
Also Amy sorry for your loss it's very difficult to come to terms. With it but kind regards David Dennis fryer thanks for the video of your journey it was wonderful seeing you and your partner having a fantastic time together on the seas for six and a half hrs good luck David Dennis fryer 🎉🎉🎉❤❤❤
PS ... you guys need to know also, how much we enjoyed your solid cinematography, editing, pacing and well thought out story-telling. SO MANY "watch me party around the world" and "look at my girlfriends ... $&(#)@ ..." video channels simply miss the point. You two are a class act and we never felt you were exploiting anything, instead just sharing honest adventures with the rest of us. For this consistency, a REAL heart felt thank you. Compared to dozens of less reputable productions, your's truly stands out. So, SIX STARS for that. You will always be able to hold your heads high! Well done! Fair winds ... forever!
I'm from Jakarta, Indonesia congratulations on your 6th year of sailing together, both of you are great adventures, I wish you a successful and healthy voyage. I followed your cruise from Indonesia. Greetings, Mr Fauzie Arief and family.
Probably not many people have the opportunity to personally and tangibly feel "how big the earth is" (not to mention that it is round ;-)). Now you both have joined this elite club :-)
Unbelievable footage! National Geographic take note. We are both ardent sailors and know the feeling while away from home what it means to loose a parent. We are in awe that your accomplishments were done in a 37 ft. boat. (We often feel our 41 ft . boat is too small for extended journeys.) When/if you are going back to England, please stay safe. Martina and Jack, Toronto, Canada
I cannot express my admiration for your journey. There are many similar trips, but this one is so well documented with superb video footage that it blows my mind. I've watched all of your episodes and I can't express enough how excited I am about this journey. Good luck. What comes next?
Life is a gamble. You gamble on being able bodied enough in retirement to do it. On being allowed to leave your home country. On your government not leaving Europe and closing off that dream to a 90 day rush for millions of people who didn't get a vote on that. Gamble on wars not shutting off countries from your plans. Best gamble on doing it now! What a brilliant memory for you both, and what a top class video!
This is probably the most moving sailing video I've ever seen. I have tears in my eyes. What a spectacular adventure. Congratulations. There's no way you're going back to 9-5!
From someone still sitting in the traffic (for now at least), well done. Truly inspiring. So sorry about your news but as a dad myself I am sure he would be extraordinarily proud and happy that you are doing something you love. Fair winds x
Matt and Amy, you two are two of the ourest sailing world cruisers to ever be on youTube. I admire your spirit and courage. You have created a blueprint of sailing the world from kicking around on weekends in very small sailboat sailing. God bless you and guide you over the oceans of the world.
You two have certainly carved out wonderful memories in your life journey. This is truly the best UA-cam channel for anyone who wants to visit the world. I’ve been through every episode with you, and anxiously waiting for the next to learn what’s ahead. May Neptune continue to guide you in your quest.
Tears of happiness for you when you popped the cork and tooted the horn. Never stop dreaming and pursuing the adventure. Love this! Thank you for sharing.
Guys, you deserve everything you have got:.... experiences that most would die for. I've tracked you all the way, and the series is intelligently put together, beautifully shot, and captures the true experience of global sailing. It stands head and shoulders above all other sailing videos. My only regret is that I didn't have the foresight, and balls at your age, to do the same. Well done, and in the nicest way possible, don't come home, because nothing could follow this. Stay safe. Brett
Huge congratulations on this massive milestone. It has been amazing sharing your adventures vicariously - thanks for having us along for the ride. When I first discovered your channel I had to go back to the start and watch all the videos from (nearly! 😉) the start. While your videos have got better and better, you have been natural presenters from the start. Episode 17, the voyage to the Marquesas, is still a great watch, and I was delighted when it passed one million views. The ending feels like the moment when long-cherished dreams came true. All your success is richly deserved. I love to see you enjoying sailing Florence like the true sailors that you are, and how the journey and life has evolved as time has gone on. For what it's worth, I think you made exactly the right decision not to wait but to seize the opportunity when you did. You have enjoyed the experiences in the prime of your lives. Never regret it for the second, despite any sacrifices. I was sorry to hear about Amy's dad. You have spoken before about the influence he had on your life. His support and love is made tangible by The Machine. He must be very proud.
One of the best sailing channels on YT. And a huge inspiration for me when I finally took the leap and did the same. So, thank you, Amy and Mat. For being genuine, honest, funny, sad, tired, excited and inspirational. And for showing us both the good and the not-so-good of this world and your journey.
Goosebumps all the way. Amazing story, amazing pictures, amazing memories, most of all, amazing courage to drop everything and leave. Around 19:15 is where I joined the journey, it's been awesome to watch every episode. Amy, sorry for your loss.
My heart goes out to Amy and her family for the loss of John! I'm sure he is very proud of the woman and adventurer his little girl has become!! To you both, congratulations on such a huge accomplishment! It is a testament to your love for each other, your drive and determination! It really shows what you can do if you set your mind to something! Thank you for sharing so much of what you have experienced these past years! I know I have learned so much just following along here! CHEERS!
So many people start the journey but never finish for a myriad of reasons. Congrats. I hope they take the Moitessier choice about heading back to England.
What an AMAZING accomplishment ! This is HUGE, very huge! You know you'll never be able to go back to the ordinary life on land. The itch has to be scratched and you know you are a great team! Like myself, so many of us took the safe road and stayed home, ran the daily commute and saved our money hoping that one day "when we retired" we would go on great adventures and do risky things. Only this November I reached the retirement milestone and the decisions to lock up and hop on the next flight to parts unknown is more complicated and tedious now, encumbered by age and health and "things" we grown attached to in our carefully manicured lives. I wish, I wish, I wish. Congratulations you did it and we can't wait to see what's next!
Dear Matt and Amy, your voyage is inspirational and although we are well into our late sixties we know now what we want to do. The very best of luck for your onward voyages…don’t give up…you will be the Pardeys of the 21st Century.
Amy, your dad may not have physically been able to be present for this milestone, but he knew you had a partner to support your dreams and he knew how to be with you both along the way in the machine. You've both honored him in the best way possible. Cheers!
What an incredible achievement. The adventures have been endless & I’ve enjoyed watching your beautifully crafted videos over the many years. Thank you for taking us along with you. I can’t wait to hear what lies ahead. Amy your Dad seemed like a incredible man who loving built your dingy so he could be with you every step of the way. A heartfelt gesture from a loving Father to his daughter. Sending you my love & condolence to you both. ❤️
Fantastic accomplishment and done the right way. Some people race around the planet simply to say they did it. You both took your time and soaked it all in and for me, that’s what cruising is all about! Congratulations and thanks for taking us along with you.
You guys are the real sailors and a truly inspiration to all of us . Thank you so much for sharing this unique experience !! Very well done ! I wish you guys fair winds ever ! cheers.
An awesome summary of your incredible achievements, which are probably the greatest achieved by anyone I know about. Not only are your sailing and vessel management skills the best but so are your videography talents. Praise and admiration cannot be highly enough stated.
Very well done video capturing your 6 yr voyage around the world. You both are wonderful people and I feel as if I've known you for the last 6 yrs. Thank you so very much for your adventurous videos so far and for many more to come.
I can't put into words how incredibly and amazing if feel for what you have done and captured it all so beautifully you are the best ambassadors for the boating community, whatever you do next I wish you all the best. Thank you very much
This video should inspire people to simply Risk & follow their dream no matter what it is. I am 66 young and been following mine. Heart & passions are ones path. I love following your channel.
Amy, Matt and Florence, congratulations to you all. Yours is an amazing achievement and one that will fill the rest of your lives with stories and memories. Well done!
Please, Matt and Amy, continue with your dream Continue now to leisurely roam the earth on your sailboat as official Ambassadors of Great Britain forever.
This was by far the best video! It’s like a stand alone documentary about sailing & adventuring & I thought it was just phenomenal. Everything was so perfect, the music especially but that’s something that’s always wonderful and goes with the place you’re visiting, but this one was just off the wall and it makes you want that! I’ll definitely be sharing this one with everyone! Thank you for all you guys do, I know this video most likely took months , not days or weeks and I, for one want you to know that I appreciate it.❤
Suddenly changed, new and fantastic WAY THROUGH LIFE. The most beautiful thing is sharing tasks and multiplying joy between You Two - A MAN AND A WOMAN. That's why your story about the road through the years is so beautiful! I wish You all good!
A HUGE Congratulations Matt&Amy! You have achieved your goal and taken tens of thousands of us with you. Thanks you so much. You really have come so far since that first nervous Biscay crossing, bending the boom mid-ocean and almost dropping out mid Pacific. This journey will have changed you for ever. Love Bruce&Anne ⛵
What a tremendous accomplishment! Each time I watch your vlog I am astonished at how much you've grown your capabilities! Please keep sailing! I can't wait to learn what comes next. Thank you for telling your story in such a wonderful fashion!
Came to the channel in December and binged the lot. THE best sailing channel. Thank you Matt and Amy, you are inspirational. So very sorry to hear about your Dad. I'm sure he is immensely proud of all you have done. Not only in your endeavours but in the adventure you have let us all be a part of. Keep going!
You should be immensely proud of your accomplishments travelling around the world! Amy's father should also be immensely proud of his craftsmanship in building a dinghy that survived a circumnavigation, cheers to the Machine 🍾!
Well done! I had been following several sailing channels the past two years and I've dropped all on them, except this one! As a professional video editor and producer, your ability to capture and tell a story is far above the others. Good job and congratulations on this milestone of circumnavigation.
;Matt and Amy, You guys must inspire thousands of venturesome folks. I am well past such thrilling trips; though I must say that I had a taste of it. Born and raised in rural Nebraska, USA, I ventured to Chicago, then Detroit, then California - leaping off to join MOFTEC in China where I traveled to more than 100 cities in every province.. Then approaching 75, I throttled back to Thailand where the anchor dug in. Happily in northern Thailand, its a happy life riding my motorcycle into the mountains and hiking to villages rather remote. Nothing quite like staying with natives in a house above the pigs and chickens and eating an unimaginable variety of veggies, herbs and insects..... Keep on feeding my mind with your at sea adventures... Yes, I did a bit of sailing the Great Lakes - Lake Michigan, Lake Erie, and Lake Huron...... Love your sequels...! Cheers, jerry in Chiang Mai
I followed you both from the start, and I want to congratulate you on this big achievement.... I always was impressed how well thought out you dealt with everything, still sucking up all these great adverntures.... You both did such a great job!
Bravo! My hat is off to you two! My family has really enjoyed your absolutely wonderfully produced videos and watching the adventure unfold. So proud for you and can't wait to see what is next. Fairwinds!
Having followed you two from the beginning, I can only say 'thank you, thank you, thank you' for sharing. The professional quality of your production belies the challenges and obstacles you overcame with such panache! Amy, so sorry, little lady - we remember Dad made you a tender better than any other in the world - and no doubt he loves you still - 'til the end of time. God bless.
We shed tears of joy throughout this entire video. It's already a magnificent achievement to sail around the world, as you did. But it's not what you did that's so special, so much as HOW you did it. With style, grace, humility, a tiny budget, and spreading warmth wherever you went. Add into that the sheer hard work, dedication and talent required to document it and bring hundreds of thousands of people along with you for the ride, and it's clear that your epic personal achievement has given so much to so many other people as well. Congratulations to you both - you rock!
For me your remarkable success is not just the sailing per say , but how absolutely brilliantly you documented it and shared your adventure with the world . Whatever your journey in life may bring next , I hope it includes more of your gifted storytelling .
Congratulations on your achievement, you had a dream and made it possible earlier than you anticipated, and so very well documented. Thank you for taking us along with you. Looking forward to what comes next... I hope you are forever changed and continue sailing and exploring and even going back to places and staying a little longer, whatever you decide GOOD LUCK to you both...
Congratulations to both of you, from Dorian and Cathy (Coos Bay, Oregon) on the 40' Caliber 40 LRC "Arcanum." Your adventure has played a role in our confidence to do our own trans-pacific crossing. Your parents must be proud of both of you as well and HAPPY to know "you made it! Peace (Dorian & Cathy)
Oh my. I can’t help but think you both are ambassadors for your home, England. We have watched your journey. It has been such a highlight for us every two weeks. You have done so much for your country by what you did. Britannia rules the waves still! ❤
I have followed your wonderfully inspiring and empathetic adventures from the very start, looking forward to each one with eager anticipation, knowing that each would eclipse the last. You have never disappointed me. I cannot believe it has been six exciting years. During this time you have contributed so much to my knowledge about sailing (I have been sailing for 70 of my 75 years) but also my life in general, particularly knowing that kindness, tolerance love and compassion are life’s staples. My condolences on your loss of your Dad, Amy. I lost my beautiful wife 11 months ago. I feel your grief. Thank you for your continuing story. Keep living life to the fullest, in good health, an abundance of love, and safety. Chris, Melbourne, Aus.
The most beautiful video ! Congratulations Matt & Amy you took me on an adventure that will be forever glorious….Time to relax and like maybe think about a movie!!!!CONGRATULATIONS !!! Looking forward to new travels wherever they may be !!!❤
We thank you guys for is wonderful journey around the World. We have accompanied you all along the good and the bad days, we laughed, and we cried with you, and we also feel the joy and happiness of this your accomplishment, so no going back to normal. Get a vacation at the sandy Bahamas, go surfing in the wavy San Andres, drop by Curaçao on the way to Brazil, and enjoy Copacabana beaches. Then, if you think you are done, please! HAVE A COUPLE OF BABIES! Good luck, and Blessings from the bottom of our Heart. Biby and Manny from Miami, USA
2 of Neptune's favorite children and their trusty steed Florence sail into our hearts and then complete a 6 year embrace of the World! THIS is Adventure. THIS is Committment THIS is Teamwork THIS is Success 🥳 🍻 🥳
Thank you so much for putting this documentary together. We have followed you for the past 2 years and have LOVED every minute and appreciate all the work you put in to making top-notch episodes.🥰
Thank you! What an absolutely amazing achievement, congratulations. Thank you for sharing your travels with us, for being the inspiration behind us and so many other sailing couples & channels who aspire to do what you've done. You're editing is just brilliant. This particular episode bought a lump to my throat. You've done so very well. Thanks again 😍⛵
Just watched this for the second time. What a wonderful adventure and achievement. You have been forever changed in outlook and perspective. No going back! Whatever comes next will be even better! ⛵️
You have done an excellent job summarizing six years of adventure into a short UA-cam video. If anyone has not seen the entire collection of videos you have produced, I HIGHLY recommend watching from the beginning. I may very well rewatch everything myself. Well done, kids. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed the last few years with you. Our family spent so many warm summers on our boat on the Missouri River watching your videos from so far, far away. What a great pleasure. Thank you 1,000 times for sharing it all, so skillfully and well done. Well done. When our family sails off into Lake Superior and out into the world when the boys are out of school in a few years, we'll toast you and Florence.
The absolute best episode ever. Brilliant work. I agree, this episode needs to leap off this platform into something more substantial. We love your work. Thankyou.
This is the best video I have seen out of all the sailing channels. I absolutely loved it and I will bet you guys will get a book deal out of this video, to tell your story to the world. Best of luck to Florence!
That’s Amazing! We’re so pleased for you both… we’ve felt to have had a fair old journey just following you on UA-cam! 😀 We’ll raise our glasses to you both, and Florence of course🎉 Daryl & Yvonne
Brilliant! Have followed you all the way and you've grown into one of the very best YT sailing channels out there. Thanks for sharing this incredible adventure and being an inspiration to others. Can't wait to hear about your future plans - they better not include the word office! Many congratulations on your amazing achievement and thanks to Neptune for looking after you. Fair winds!
Thanks guys for another fantastic video. Please carry on living the dream for the rest of us. So sorry to hear about the loss of Amy’s Dad. Having spent long deployments on the other side of the world in the Royal Navy with things happening at home that you can’t get back for it can be very tough. I can see from your mentions of him in previous videos that he was a very special guy and inspiration for what you have achieved. Our thoughts are with you at this sad time ❤
Dads never die. They are with us. Always. Congratulations guys!

Heartbreaking news about Amy’s father. May he rest in peace and Amy’s heart mend. I am sure he was proud to have you as his daughter.

I am completely speechless and utter admiration for what you have accomplished. Congratulations and many more safe miles...
Nothing but admiration for a pair of hard core sailors! What a team and a great sailboat!
Congratulations. Best UA-cam sailing channel, really enjoyed your journey

Thank you for your bravery! What a scary adventure for some, but damn y'all you got skills to pay them bills 😂❤
What a tremendous accomplishment! Each time I watch your vlog I am astonished at how much you've grown your capabilities! Please keep sailing! I can't wait to learn what comes next. Thank you for telling your story in such a wonderful fashion!
Did you send me a message through UA-cam or is it a scammer? Thank you.😊
What an achievement Amy and Matt. Well done🎉
Congratulation for both of you, tremendous achievement !!!. Greeting from Jakarta Indonesia.
Simply epic, congratulations. By far the best and most ‘real’ sailing channel. Thank you for sharing your adventure with us.
A hearty CONGRATULATONS! to both of you; what a journey!
Your videography and storytelling are always at the very top of the scale, but this episode transcends everything that has come before it.
Only master sailors and master filmmakers can gift the world in this way!!
This was nothing short of spectacular. The story...the cinematography...the music... Perfect. One of the most inspiring videos in all of UA-cam.
Masterful episode to summarise an inspirational adventure.
Congratulations Matt and Amy! My favorite sailing channel. Cheers to more adventures together!
Great video! Thanks for sharing! Hope to see you on the water, we are just beginning our journey xx
Well done! I had been following several sailing channels the past two years and I've dropped all on them, except this one! As a professional video editor and producer, your ability to capture and tell a story is far above the others. Good job and congratulations on this milestone of circumnavigation.
;Matt and Amy,
You guys must inspire thousands of venturesome folks.
Cheers,
jerry in Chiang Mai
I followed you both from the start, and I want to congratulate you on this big achievement.... I always was impressed how well thought out you dealt with everything, still sucking up all these great adverntures.... You both did such a great job!
You guy's are freaking awesome, your last 6 year's is way more than any normal person life time experience by far, congratulations and great videos.

Congratulations and I have loved being with you on this journey 👍🏻👌🏻🙏🏻💪🏻
Best sailing channel around! Thank you both.
Congratulation to you both. What an amazing adventure and I am so glad you shared it with all of us. Thank you.
We like your videos because they are always about the journey. It’s been great to watch you, thanks for taking us along!
