When it came to this matchup, I've always viewed Jason as the guy who does everything Michael does but better. Michael can crush heads, but when Jason does it - your eyes go flying out of your eye sockets.

I've been wanting this matchup since before Death Battle even existed. I'm so glad they got around to doing it, and also timing it to release on Halloween and having it be their 13th episode of the season.
The original Halloween 3 was called Season of the Witch. It was about this mask company making these mask with pieces of Stone Hedge sown into the tag, that reacts to a certain tv frequency meant to blow up the head of who ever wearing said mask when said frequency is played.
Possibly dumb question: has anyone ever done any licensed-but-noncanon stuff to tie Halloween 3 into the Michael Myers stuff? I know it's not a very well-liked movie in general, but it also seems like an obvious pick for a random licensed comic or something

The Halloween series was supposed to be an anthology of different horror stories by different writers that revolved around the day of Halloween. Unfortunately, 3 things happened that made the concept of an anthology series impossible. First off, the first movie wasn't market advertised as the first of a bunch of different stories. Secondly, the following Halloween 2 movie was a direct sequel rather than a different story. Lastly, the two movies were just too successful. Everybody loved the first Halloween and enjoyed the sequel. All 3 of those factors guaranteed that them trying to keep it an anthology was going to fail. The negative reception of Halloween 3 proved it true. That's why the sequels and remakes and reboots from after Halloween 3 revolved around Michael Myers.

Plus if you upload it exactly after the UA-cam version releases more people will probably click.
Oh, for sure. Today's early upload was because I mistakenly selected 1:15 AM (using the Scheduled upload feature) rather than 1:15 PM. Uber Jason is definitely stronger than normal Jason. In Jason X, Uber Jason was able to punch a ginormous reinforced steel door off of its hinges while normal Jason could just budge it a little. That being said, Uber Jason was definitely not needed for this fight. Normal zombie Jason is still deadlier than Michael.

It took an accidental supernatural ritual event (years later) of his corpse being dug up & lightening striking the metal rod that Tommy Jarvis stabbed his corpse with to bring him back. If Tommy hadn't dug him up & left him alone, he would've still been dead. Then again, on another note, after Jason was killed by toxic waste in Jason Takes Manhattan, & ritualistically sent to hell in Jason goes to Hell, the only way he came back from the dead then was Freddy supernaturally brought him back on order for himself to be able to return. Even though he came back in Jason X somehow, which is clearly another timeline in the F13 series he was blown to bits & regenerated with the help of futuristic nanotechnology. & I'm saying if Mike was given that treatment, he would be unstoppable too. Human Jason had never been shot either. However, no matter what Mike had happen to him, up until Ends, he was seemingly as indestructible as zombie Jason in his human form. & it's a fact that t JC pitched Mike going to outerspace years before Jason X was made but Moustapha Akkad shot it down. So basically I'm willing to bet F13 writers stole, picked up & ran with that idea.
Im glad they did this death battle, It was long overdue but It stings that Michael lost although i can understand why as Jason has a ungodly healing factor (And the fact that he’s dead helps) but thanks to the horrible movie that is ends….Michael is unfortunately only human (But Personally I don’t think so). The reasoning does make sense; Every time they retconned one of Michael's defeats in a sequel they fixed so he somehow escaped, with Jason they just went "No, that all totally happened, it's just doesn't matter to him."

one thing that annoys me is that they downplay Jason by not really going in depth in their feats to say they are "equal" in stats the explosion for example the calc has the church feat up to 284.7 mj (0.06 tons) small building lvl while Jason houses feat got to 0.5 ton building level that an around an 8 times difference in durability The same goes with strength both are shown crushing bones and skulls and tearing parts off people, but with Micheal, it takes some time or he tears small chucks off people while Jason does it causally tearing off limbs and ripping people in half or yeeting them away high into the air, Jason shown stepping and crushing people just by walking compare to Micheal who requires a stomp to do the same. find it odd they gave pro for jason being able to keep Micheal at bay with a ranged weapon when Micheal wouldn't be a threat up close as Jason would realistically just body him and end the fight in seconds (not to mention a skill advantage for jason as mikey struggled with Busta rhymes kung fu where jason can deal with other competent fighter like ash, or freddy) same with intelligence as jason shows equal feat with Micheal and also gets iq boost by Freddy in the comic he becomes more smarter if include uber form with a nanomachine
I was expecting this to be on Saturday but having this early is good too but my thoughts on this one, I wasn't too big of a fan of this matchup mainly because I don't like horror movies but the animation was really good though since I went into this fight with the knowledge of Jason taking this one from the start and this was in the years that I had known about this matchup despite not being a fan of it. Next time with Sauron and Lich King, while I do know who Sauron is given I know a lot of people that are close to me who are fans of Lord of the Rings but Lich King, I know absolutely nothing on World of Warcraft as I mainly play games on a console and I don't play MMOs a lot so Lich King is a completely unknown character to me so yeah this is a toss up for me. Edit: Also this is a good plan doing the new ones right away like we are almost finished this season as after Sauron VS Lich King, there's two episodes left, the Penultimate Episode of Season 9 and the Season 9 Finale so what you are doing now is a good idea.
The whole idea of Laurie being Michael's sister didn't get added until the second movie. Fairly sure they didn't intend that when creating the first and Laurie was just meant to be wrong place, wrong time. Curiously Jason has a slight moral high ground here. He kills (a lot) but he's never shown the sadism Michael has and is also clearly not operating on any kind of real connection to reality while Michael gives the impression he understands what he's doing.
@@punishedbnnuy Not quite right I'd say. For a start Jason wasn't murdered, he was neglcted. But that aside while mostly kills camp consellors and other teenagers he does also kill others who don't match the profile. It seems to be broadly territorial; excluding children anyone who comes to Crystal Lake is attacked. Outside of Crystal Lake he doesn't care unless he's taken away from there against his will (Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason X) or he's tricked (Freddie vs Jason).

@@punishedbnnuy What we're seeing there is not a straight memory, it's a nightmare crafted by Freddy Kruger to imprison Jason. Freddy has every reason to make it as bad as possible. Given that no-one, not even rambling, insane Pamela Voorhees ever mentioned Jason being deliberately drowned I have my doubts. That Jason was bullied I don't question but I find it more likely he drowned by accident, as every other film that mentions it says, and Freddy just combined the two for his nightmare.

advice for Dean upon watching Halloween movies: the very first movie, and the 2018 - and on - movies, are the only ones Halloween series wants you to care about now. The 2018 movie is blatantly, and purposefully, made as a direct Sequel to the first film and pretends the other films don't even exist. idk why they made it that way but maybe it was an apology for the rest of them or something, idk i only ever saw the original, the Rob Zombie one, and 2018.

The third Halloween movie was a different movie and just like what you said that the reason why that to make more Halloween movies based on Michael Myers is because they made two Michael Myers movies back to back while originally Halloween supposed to be in anthology movie on like the things that were happening in Halloween day. So that's the reason why Halloween 3 wasn't really able to see well. And Halloween one there was not supposed to be related and spoilers I guess only two they decided to make them to be related that's why in the scenes where you see that Mike and Myers on the door was his sister that was from part 2 so it wasn't really supposed to be them to be related it was supposed to be some random guy just killing people but it had to make it like some type of motivation why he's going after Lori Strode and Halloween too and same thing with his niece in an alternate timeline
Edit: I said 15 years originally now there's a thread. 2:45 Friday the 13th Part 2 takes place 5 years after the first, that's why Jason - who had been stuck in limbo implicitly as a young boy spirt up until witnessing his mother's death at the lakeshore - appears as a grown man for the first time murdering counselors. i'm sure i heard before the gore of these types of movies aren't really your jam, but Part 2 is a movie i considered "prep work" before watching this video myself.
Part 2 takes place 5 years after the first Friday the 13th movie actually. If we wanna get technical, it starts 2 months after with Alice from the first movie being killed at her apartment and then 5 years pass to get to Chris Higgin's story.

I love WoW and have played it most of my life but even I have to say that Sauron probably beats the Lich King in a one-on-one fight. If it comes to army vs army then LK takes it because the Uru'kai are no match for the Scourge.

There was a picture I found that basically broke it down like a chose your own adventure. If you don't like them being siblings, jump to the new ones, if you do like them being siblings then you have two timelines that are different in that a major character dies in one but not the other. (Not spoiling who)

Even though he came back in Jason X somehow, which is clearly another timeline in the F13 series he was blown to bits & regenerated with the help of futuristic nanotechnology. & I'm saying if Mike was given that treatment, he would be unstoppable too. Human Jason had never been shot either. However, no matter what Mike had happen to him, up until Ends, he was seemingly as indestructible as zombie Jason in his human form. & it's a fact that t JC pitched Mike going to outerspace years before Jason X was made but Moustapha Akkad shot it down. So basically I'm willing to bet F13 writers stole, picked up & ran with that idea.
Im glad they did this death battle, It was long overdue but It stings that Michael lost although i can understand why as Jason has a ungodly healing factor (And the fact that he’s dead helps) but thanks to the horrible movie that is ends….Michael is unfortunately only human (But Personally I don’t think so). Michael has died even before Halloween Ends
The reasoning does make sense; Every time they retconned one of Michael's defeats in a sequel they fixed so he somehow escaped, with Jason they just went "No, that all totally happened, it's just doesn't matter to him."

@@CaptainCFalcon Eh, it's not clear if Jason was undead before Tommy Jarvis hacked him up and then later accidentally struck him with lightning and brought him back to life. He certainly was afterwards but for the first few films he might have been, like Michael, supposedly still human.

one thing that annoys me is that they downplay Jason by not really going in depth in their feats to say they are "equal" in stats
the explosion for example the calc has the church feat up to 284.7 mj (0.06 tons) small building lvl while Jason houses feat got to 0.5 ton building level that an around an 8 times difference in durability
The same goes with strength both are shown crushing bones and skulls and tearing parts off people, but with Micheal, it takes some time or he tears small chucks off people while Jason does it causally tearing off limbs and ripping people in half or yeeting them away high into the air, Jason shown stepping and crushing people just by walking compare to Micheal who requires a stomp to do the same.
find it odd they gave pro for jason being able to keep Micheal at bay with a ranged weapon when Micheal wouldn't be a threat up close as Jason would realistically just body him and end the fight in seconds (not to mention a skill advantage for jason as mikey struggled with Busta rhymes kung fu where jason can deal with other competent fighter like ash, or freddy)
same with intelligence as jason shows equal feat with Micheal and also gets iq boost by Freddy in the comic he becomes more smarter if include uber form with a nanomachine
With Jason you can predict when he is coming and he'll come like a tank, but Michael you can't because he is sneaky and clever.

I was expecting this to be on Saturday but having this early is good too but my thoughts on this one, I wasn't too big of a fan of this matchup mainly because I don't like horror movies but the animation was really good though since I went into this fight with the knowledge of Jason taking this one from the start and this was in the years that I had known about this matchup despite not being a fan of it.
Next time with Sauron and Lich King, while I do know who Sauron is given I know a lot of people that are close to me who are fans of Lord of the Rings but Lich King, I know absolutely nothing on World of Warcraft as I mainly play games on a console and I don't play MMOs a lot so Lich King is a completely unknown character to me so yeah this is a toss up for me.
Edit: Also this is a good plan doing the new ones right away like we are almost finished this season as after Sauron VS Lich King, there's two episodes left, the Penultimate Episode of Season 9 and the Season 9 Finale so what you are doing now is a good idea.

The whole idea of Laurie being Michael's sister didn't get added until the second movie. Fairly sure they didn't intend that when creating the first and Laurie was just meant to be wrong place, wrong time.
Curiously Jason has a slight moral high ground here. He kills (a lot) but he's never shown the sadism Michael has and is also clearly not operating on any kind of real connection to reality while Michael gives the impression he understands what he's doing.

But that aside while mostly kills camp consellors and other teenagers he does also kill others who don't match the profile. It seems to be broadly territorial; excluding children anyone who comes to Crystal Lake is attacked. Outside of Crystal Lake he doesn't care unless he's taken away from there against his will (Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason X) or he's tricked (Freddie vs Jason).
@@punishedbnnuy The kids didn't intend to kill so that makes it manslaughter on their part (assuming that even happened, that backstory only showed up in Freddy vs Jason, elsewhere it's implied he just fell in by accident) and criminal neglect on the part of the counselors.
@@punishedbnnuy What we're seeing there is not a straight memory, it's a nightmare crafted by Freddy Kruger to imprison Jason. Freddy has every reason to make it as bad as possible. Given that no-one, not even rambling, insane Pamela Voorhees ever mentioned Jason being deliberately drowned I have my doubts.
That Jason was bullied I don't question but I find it more likely he drowned by accident, as every other film that mentions it says, and Freddy just combined the two for his nightmare.

the very first movie, and the 2018 - and on - movies, are the only ones Halloween series wants you to care about now. The 2018 movie is blatantly, and purposefully, made as a direct Sequel to the first film and pretends the other films don't even exist. idk why they made it that way but maybe it was an apology for the rest of them or something, idk i only ever saw the original, the Rob Zombie one, and 2018.

The third Halloween movie was a different movie and just like what you said that the reason why that to make more Halloween movies based on Michael Myers is because they made two Michael Myers movies back to back while originally Halloween supposed to be in anthology movie on like the things that were happening in Halloween day. So that's the reason why Halloween 3 wasn't really able to see well. And Halloween one there was not supposed to be related and spoilers I guess only two they decided to make them to be related that's why in the scenes where you see that Mike and Myers on the door was his sister that was from part 2 so it wasn't really supposed to be them to be related it was supposed to be some random guy just killing people but it had to make it like some type of motivation why he's going after Lori Strode and Halloween too and same thing with his niece in an alternate timeline

2:45 Friday the 13th Part 2 takes place 5 years after the first, that's why Jason - who had been stuck in limbo implicitly as a young boy spirt up until witnessing his mother's death at the lakeshore - appears as a grown man for the first time murdering counselors. i'm sure i heard before the gore of these types of movies aren't really your jam, but Part 2 is a movie i considered "prep work" before watching this video myself.
Part 2 takes place 5 years after the first Friday the 13th movie actually. If we wanna get technical, it starts 2 months after with Alice from the first movie being killed at her apartment and then 5 years pass to get to Chris Higgin's story.

Laurie is revealed as michael sister only in 2nd movie and there are 2 timelines from there, halloween 4, 5, 6 is 1st timeline, halloween 20 movies is 2nd timeline
The modern ones, halloween 2018 till 2022 is 3rd timeline which happens after the original movie only, so halloween 2 doesnt happen in this and laurie isnt related to michael
