I know right, he's a good presenter and a car guy. Now if they could just get rid of Ethan who doesn't work as a car guy/straight man - he's just a boring middle manager type that detracts from the good work of Jack and Edwin.
All those years in the channel i think it the first time i see Ethan genuinely happy about a Car. He is an everyday character but that car brought his Car Spirit to surface. So proud for him ✌️

Genuinely loved this episode seeing "boring" or daily cars getting alittle spruced up is nice we often forget that not all the hype cars we see now weren't always hype some started as normal cars someone decided to give alittle extra love and other people saw it and realized you can make anything nice I'd love to see more of Ethans Skoda with small mod like a new shift cover and stuff because it keeps thing grounded as this is a car anyone can own

as a 25 year lover of vws, i totally approve of this one as well. the 1.9 is a fantastic engine, and an estate is just so useful and handy. its super clean, and obviously well kept. i'd drive it for sure!

Actually surprised and a bit jelous he got such a good car. He did it all by himself and "accidentally" bought a really preserved car with no visable rust on it and one of the best diesel engines out there that not only very reliable but also quite economic. I miss seeing Alex every now and then but Edwin definitely gives them the flair they needed. So now Ethan got himself yet another Skoda to drive... Roadtrip to Czech Republic to see where Skoda started?

Not all old VAG 1.9 TDI are automatically PD's. Few people know that Skoda also produced a 1.9 w/ electronic injection, the 110 BHP variant w/ motor code AHF between 1997 and 2006.
Should add a car play headunit to it and tidy up the interior with a new gator ect. Would be good to see some practical mods like that done as well and make it the ultimate daily. Grate video as always guys.

Very nice, but it's NOT A PD. It's the older, even more bulletproof 1.9TDI VP, different injection, uses an old fashioned rotary pump instead of unit injectors in the PD. Pretty much the exact same engine Miles had, only slightly more powerful.
Teasing with those two wagons in the thumbnail. 159 is one of the best looking wagons ever made, and the s124 is one of the coolest and high quality. But no, you had to make a sensible purchase. :P
I think it's great how Ethan has had all those Skoda press cars and the ends up purchasing his own Skoda. Not to mention one like Miles that will give him plenty of smiles per miles. Also Edwin is a legit mate for hooking it up with all those mods. The car looks sick!

I owned a B5.5 in the 1.8T 4mo a.k.a. quattro 5 speed which in this combo was actually very rare, if my memory serves me correctly only 450 units ordered/sold here in the US. Currently own a MK7 GSW TEEDEEEYE, bought it new and it has seen some unusual duty of plenty autocross and a track day. Cool car Ethan, enjoy and thanks mates for cool content on the tube. and ASV/ALH 110 engines are mechanically fuel pump driven non-PD (VE?)
In Vw, the 1.9 Tdi 110 hp is a VP engine not the PD which also is knonw as a more reliable than a PD
