I tried to headbang like that once, the strain on your neck is brutal and your brain feels like its in a blender. I have no earthly idea how he does this for a whole show night after night.
The real Slipknot. From vol.3 they become shit. And i Say more. I dont like Iowa too.. for me the Essence of the Slipknot concept art Is the self titled and After that we lose the original Slipknot "Idea"
At 18, this was my first metal show. A 3 day festival of rain, mud and total chaos. Slipknot were the main reason I went, and they blew my fucking mind. This performance is why I got a Slipknot S tattoo, it's why I made a Corey jumpsuit and mask that I fortunately got signed a year later after meeting Corey and the whole band after the Ozzfest 2001 show (same venue). This 2000 performance set the bar for the hundreds and hundreds of shows I've seen in the 24 years since then. Hands down this X-fest performance and the 99-2000 Slipknot era energy and chaos is unmatched in a live setting.
Man Paul's bass tone was so heavy and badass. Its unmatched till this day. He was an amazing bassist. Super underrated but he was one of few that shadowed the guitar to a T. Other musician's will know what i mean by that
I was in the penitentiary in 2000. Slipknot suited my situation and describes how I felt... thank you for getting me through that situation. Slipknot kicks ass..
I don’t think Joey was staying beyond 2013 especially with how wrecked he was. Chris? There were definite issues and seems as if he’s retired all from music these days
I love that Joey's one of the best metal drummers of all time and still has a $20 drum stool. Says a lot, he always kept it real. Legend!
this show clears dynamo 1000%
Yes. Corey literally sounds like the studio version here.
@@buklau8782 and the crowd is so crazy

@@mattgcar84 man i'm jealous for you bro. i was born 6 years after this 😂

Joey is just fuc*ing amazing this show. I’m glad they show him a lot! Hope that angle of him comes out soon
33:49 Joey shielding his face
"Good news guys, we're finally playing 93X fest!....Bad news, we go on after Slipknot." haha
This is what I fucking needed, so many Joey shots and that fucking snare is so amazing. And as a Minnesotan it’s extra special to me

They would have been better without him and the stupid turntables
Damn that was actually fucking rare lol
So good
50:15 and some folks wondered why Mick had to have neck surgery lmao. He did that a lot during those years.
I tried to headbang like that once, the strain on your neck is brutal and your brain feels like its in a blender. I have no earthly idea how he does this for a whole show night after night.
He did it for a lot of years too even now despite having neck injury albeit not as insane as in 1999/2000.
A lot of that stretching really helped.
29:21 - power of two FUCKING LEGENDS
This is era brutal Slipknot!!!

10:10 the sound of the snare here. So pleasure.
The bass sound is amazing, thank you!!

God I miss these days I saw them in 2000 at the Sacramento memorial auditorium I was just 14yrs old
Epic catch of time for an epic band of time \m/

24:17 (LOL, So much for that statement. Clown and Corey run the band. They absolutely care about $ or they wouldn't have fired Joey, Chris, etc.)
Joey was not fired, he couldn't play, he suffered a lot
I don’t think Joey was staying beyond 2013 especially with how wrecked he was.
Chris? There were definite issues and seems as if he’s retired all from music these days
I’ve never been a fan of these guys but I can definitely respect their craft. These guys are experts of their respective instrument(s).
50:15 :Y algunas personas se preguntaron por qué Mick tuvo que someterse a una cirugía de cuello. Lo hizo mucho durante esos años
Buen trabajo, copiando y traduciendo otro comentario xd

Man. Youre a god.
18:43 girl in the audience
OHHH MY GODD
that was so common at concerts back then - because no one had phones to record it!
how can you ever notice that shtttt
Ahhh pre 2001 Amerika ...
I saw them at the Dynamo in 2000.
And i had COMPLETELY FORGOT, that I saw them in Gothenburg, Sweden 2009. I must've been shit faced.
Probably also because 2009 was an underwhelming era
