I'm actually pretty surprised by the quality of the crowd. I mean, Roskilde Festival isn't a metal festival. It's basically just a "music festival". They have had everything from Paul McCartney to Nirvana, Rihanna to Deadmau5 etc. I would have expected quite a mediocre crowd considering the kind of festival it is but they're pretty good I think. :)
Well, everything's relative I guess. I'm Danish myself so I'm fully aware that Slipknot is popular in certain circles (hence why I watched the video..) but it's hardly the kind of music that gets the most fans among young people here. It's not even close to that. There's a reason Roskilde Festival isn't full of this kind of music after all, it doesn't sell enough tickets.
Roskilde was rooted in rock music, and 10-15 years back it was mainly big rock and metal acts that came. Nowadays, where there is more pop, the heavy acts still get a lot of recognition whenever they come. But Now there is Copenhell to take into account. They pick up most of the heavy bands
its bc on that day there where only bands playing on the mainstage so rock and metal fans could go to the festival that day thats why you so so many slipknot shirts and stuff

2009 fue el mejor año para ellos. Las mejores máscaras, la mejor puesta en escena y sonido, energía al 100%, los mejores integrantes y setlist de canciones. Tremendo aguante en ese tiempo.

I honestly think this gives Download 2002 a run for its money level of epicness... In this performance there is such intensity that carries from song to song and the whole crowd is fucking with Slipknot every step of the way. Hands down the best Before I Forget performance I have ever seen. Download 02 is epic but I love this quite a bit too.
I don't know if anyone noticed but they did accelerate the music tempo to fit in 40 minutes 8 songs. It's nice to hear Slipknot in the normal way and "haste" way. :-)
What a great fucking performance! Seeing Paul Gray in here sent chills down my spine considering he passed away on my 20th birthday. Slipknot has been my favorite band since the day Vol. 3 came out... Maggot til I fucking die!!!!!!!!!!!
I remember them not even being scheduled to play that year, but a few days before, while the festival was ongoing, Drake or some schmuck canceled, and Slipknot accepted to come instead. Was a great concert. A little short, but great.
My first year at roskilde as like a 15-16 year old. This was a fucking great year and show. I remember the crouching and jumping up part, felt like forever hunching down. Remember Chris Fehn running through the crowd handing out bitch slaps and shit. Couldnt find it in the video though. What a trip down memory lane.
This was my first ever Slipknot show and my second year at Roskilde - I was 19, and my mates and I got all the way to the front, where this cute little kid was standing with hos father a little behind him ... one of the stewards looked at my friends and me and simply said, that there was gonna be a hell of a push from behind, so we were now responsible for protectin the kid - we did by having him stand in front of us and us just grapping the metal fence to make a protective zone for him ... he had the time of his life, and frankly, so did we, especially when we saw how much this meant to that little guy ❤ (Note: we stayed with him 'till his father joined us, he got caught in a mosh, NOT planned XD)
