Jamaison, you never cease to amaze me! Your fun energy and creativity and thoughtfulness are so incredible! Those hearts are gorgeous and I am sure Drew will love them. It was nice to see you and your daughter enjoying some family time. Excellent video as always, thank you for sharing! 💖💖👍😉
Your hearts are fabulous! What a treat for you and your daughter to go to the taping. Drew Barrymore is a wonderful person. I hope she gets your hearts and has you make many more for her!
They came out beautiful. So glad you shared how you did them. I only have a single heart mold but will be trying this. Thanks again for sharing your knowledge.
Another great video Jamaison!! I have made some similar to yours. I used the two heart mold from CPI. Layered murrini down first with clear on top. Full fuse, cleaned the surface and a fire polish. I was very please. Thanks for sharing yours. Love everything you make.
waited forever for that heart mold over Christmas Holidays, I Love Love that project. Sooo doing this! Think I will try my hand at gold leaf with frit at bottom underneath like in Italian Murano style! I really hope she got your hearts and responds, that would be the icing on the cake! Thanks very much for this project.
Love these, Jamaison! I need to try your schedule since mine gets a few too many bubbles for my liking. They never come out as clear as yours did. Beautiful!!
Thank you! The schedule that works for me was in the description. I think the larger tekta sizes help. Not flawless but I prefer a few bubbles. I think they can add some magic and movement.
@@JamaisonSchuler I made a note of your firing schedule and am going to try it this week. You're right, a few bubbles can be magical. Oh, and you have to let us know if you hear from Drew!!!!
Just peeked at the firing schedule. Experienced fusers will see the annealing segment is written out of order 😳 Great job….I hope Drew loves them & contacts you 😄
love these Jamaison! You mentioned you keep a jar of cleaned tekta. How do you clean you scrap tekta? I have a ton of it and need to get organized with that sort of thing! Thanks and it's time for you to do some live Q&As for some of us fans!
Enjoyed your video and overall purpose, the hearts Are gorgeous !!! Since we are not Drew or other celebrities, where can we get them as well ?? Please post info… ❤️ to you and your daughter !!
First timer question: should I just sit the murrini on top of the frit or sort of nestle it down into it so the clear scrap doesn't knock them over? Or doesn't it matter if they end up on their sides?
I definitely don’t want them on their sides, but I think mine generally rests on top of the colored frit and then I’m just careful when I put in the clear
So beautiful!!! Just wondering, how thick a layer of the green frit on the bottom? Also, how thick did you cut the Millefiori? I just got a batch from Lori and now I know what I want to do with them.
Great video as always Jamaison! I got the mold and put 4 layers of zip in it but most of my hearts stuck to mold. I know that firelite does not recommend zyp . They only recommend kiln wash. Any ideas of why i have the problem with sticking? Hope you hear back from Drew.
It’s hard to say… I always make sure to get into all the crooks and creases (there are some defined angles where the “wall” of the heart starts up on the side) and I keep my firing schedules on the lower side. I often think people go too hot when using casting molds. I find Zyp can flake off and stick more with hotter temps. Good luck with your mold.
Can you point me to your source saying Firelite does not recommend Zyp? They sell Zyp…so it seems odd that they would not recommend that, especially on casting molds.
@@JamaisonSchuler I wrote them about preparing the mold and firing schedule. They wrote back and told me that they don't recommend zip to prepare the mold and only use kiln wash. They also said that they don't offer a firing schedule. I used your firing schedule so maybe it was too hot a temp for my kiln. Thank you for replying and all of your videos!
Love this video, the story and the end results. You talked me into it. I've ordered the mold and the Millefiori, but what frit did you use? My shop supplies are minimal. I have zero green frit. So I will have to order something, and might as well get a good color that works for this project as a start.
I love, love, love your hearts and am going to give it a try. One question though, I'll be using COE96 so would your 4th segment be 9999-950-120 instead of 999-900-120? Thank you!
I also use 96 glass and am getting ready to try these for the first time. May I ask if you did yours using Jamaison's schedule with just the one change in the 4th section and how it worked out for you?
Hey Jamaison! When you say you keep "clean" glass can you please give me details? I clean my glass with a little dish soap and warm water, and then give it a final swipe with 91% alcohol before firing just to take off any fingerprints. I hear that some people use magnets to clean their glass but I don't why. I'd love to hear your thoughts! Thanks for letting me pick your brain. 🙂
@@suz6373 I was referencing my chopped Tekta specifically. I just mean that I clean the glass well, then chop it and then store it in a closed container so it remains clean and ready to use in projects like these hearts. Love your work. Don’t love Drew Barrymore. She knows nothing about what is truly good and how to be good. It’s a shame you made such beautiful work that went unappreciated. I would expect that someone who received something so thoughtful & beautiful FOR FREE would have at least made a post on social media thanking the person who lovingly created these for her. I am truly sorry you never heard anything else about it.

I sure did… explained some symbolism behind each flower I included, etc.

Great video. Looks like the frit is maybe medium, is that correct and what color is that? Thanks
I think was medium yes, and aventurine green!
So beautiful!!! Just wondering, how thick a layer of the green frit on the bottom? Also, how thick did you cut the Millefiori? I just got a batch from Lori and now I know what I want to do with them.
Truly just enough frit to cover the bottom. The millefiori were all different lengths, from 2mm to 6mm

I used light aventurine green, fine frit. 1412 color
@@JamaisonSchuler That was my first guess. I know you like that color. Thanks!
I love your videos! Can you tell me what the backs of your hearts ended up looking like? I am not sure if I am doing these correctly.
The backs were just aventurine green and somewhat matte since that’s the part touching the mold.
@@JamaisonSchuler , thank you! I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't doing anything wrong by having them turn out with a "matte" finish.
Can I use the glass in my broken stain glass lamp for fusing?
No, not really. That glass isn’t formulated to be fusible, it may not be compatible, etc. Sorry 😞

Wilderness Glass on Etsy. Link in the video notes.
Thank you!
Is there a reason to use tecta vs clear frit?
I like larger chunks of tekta because you get fewer bubbles than with frit
Those are sp adorable. Too bad she wasnt able to mention the gifts
Is there a way to make the bottoms shiny?
Not in the kiln, no. I suppose you could spend a great deal of time coldworking them
