Absolutely superb film making. The scenery, the drone shots, ( The drone selfie in the lake reflection was awesome) and the musical score has made this my new favourite vlog episode. Thank you for all the work you put into including us in your journey. Stay safe you two.
As a norwegian that have travelled all over the country I can assure you all that Norway is pretty great. If you like city life you need to visit Trondheim, Bergen, Tromsø and Oslo. In that order of priority. Nature? Does not matter where you go, we got it everywhere... You are welcome.
Some hiking gear may be higher than you'd expect, but usually it's because of high quality. We Norwegians are 'outdoorsy' and above average hung up in having the right gear for the occasion. And 'everyone' hikes in the mountains. That parking space is made for hikers, so it's probably mostly in use in the daytime on fair weather days.
You have been a bit unlucky with where you are in Norway regarding the weather. But the coastline/fjords/west in Norway is always more prone to wet weather coming in from the ocean. But if you want the scenic route, that is the road to take. Hope you get more lucky with the weather as you go north! July is the best month for summer temps.. ;)
I assume you already know this, but the brands you where looking at are like whats considered very good. So there is that ^^ you can get like a cheaper brand that might not last that long for 20 pounds on shops like XXL but yhe. If you want something decent then 50 pounds is tbh..still considered cheap in norway. 100 is more or less normal for hiking gear that is durable
Olden is my hometown! Shame you met with rain that day. The Sunde Family used to be one of the larger families there, so there's a lot of that name there. The Skogstad clothing shop you were in used to be the old convenience and general store up untill a couple of years ago.
Mind blowing scenery. What an awesome journey and while I suspect this would freak you both out, I wouldn't be able to resist throwing a fishing line into that water.
The valley where you parked by the main road at the start of the video where you commented on how wet it was there, is aptly named "Våtedalen" - which means - ta-da! - "Wet valley" ! See you also vent to Olden, Strynsvatnet, Videsæter-svingane. You turned around at Djupvatnet (missing Geiranger!) which was frozen over, then vent down to Strynsvatnet again, about 1000 m lower. Be aware that Norway have around 3x as much snow as normal this time of the year this spring/summer.
*"The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the next best time is now"* I consider this to be best motivational quote I've heard in a very long time. But motivational quotes are useless if you don't practice what you preach*
Loved your filming and editing when you were here in Ireland, and it's just getting better and better every video. Especially with the quick turnaround. Really capturing a place, i think being in the van helps so much with just keeping you present in a place
Looks like you really missed an opportunity there in Olden. You really should drive up and see Oldevatnet. Also if you drive all the way you will come to a car park from where you can hike and see the Briksdalsbreen glacier.
You guys really picked my favoritt routes 👌 Some of these places are really mind blowing. Shopping at REMA 1000 is smart. They are the cheapest. Spar and Menu are the most expensive. Don't be afraid to pick the cheaper brands. You won't find really bad quality in a Norwegian supermarket. Have an EPIC trip !!
Hey guys, absolutely stunned by your videos. If you need a place in The Netherlands on your travel back please let me know. I can show you around a bit
This years weather/temperature is NOT normal! I haven't been outside in a t-shirt yet and normally I do that in the beginning of May. I'm living above the arctic circle. It's been really cold this year🙁
I really liked the longer videos, but sometimes I wouldn’t watch because I didn’t have time for the whole thing. The shorter videos probably get me to watch more. Content is great as usual 😀
Some gas station have water outside, but if not you can usually ask. And some of the lay by also have water. But unfortunately it less common than it was some decades ago. But if not, fast moving water is safe to drink is you are upstream of the farms. Most Norwegians drink directly from small streams while hiking....
Norway is for rich ppl who go on holiday all the time and are running out of places to go. Obviously if you can only go away once every few years you're going do Italy/Slovenia/Croatia. Much cheaper, easier to reach and better weather.
Even when it's cloudy it's so beautiful 🎶iiiinnnn theee mouuuuntainnnnnssss"🎶 😂

3:21 the picture of that center mountain draped in "bolder-clouds" is just absolutely incane!
Haha Toms face at the end when you mentioned the toilets stinking 🤣
Stunning x
Fabulous scenery and music
Another great ending to the Vlog, very funny.
Love the accompanying music!👍

Hello my friend, thank you for this beautiful video. Good health👍✌❤❤

Incredible landscapes. What a difference a 30 minute drive can make too. You are so lucky to see it all in the flesh.
Still waiting to see Tom wearing his apron. But in other news, Norway is fantastic! Definitely on my list now.
Excellent video, it brought back memories from when I traveled from Bergen to the North Cape back in the 90’s, and then on to the lofoten islands

Absolutely beautiful scenery .
Mind blowing scenery. What an awesome journey and while I suspect this would freak you both out, I wouldn't be able to resist throwing a fishing line into that water.
Just fantastic scenery again guys. Think you did the right thing by going back, down the mountain to sleep. Keep safe guys.

The scenery is astounding…Thank-you for sharing.
Pity Tom doesn't fish because I bet that river was just teeming with Salmon! Great vid as always, really enjoy your channel! 😎👍👍👍
Norway looks beautiful! Thank you for being there.
its like a lindt chocolate advert everyday now lol awesome views great job again you two
Tom's face at the end 😂 definitely sums up the downside of van life.

You're right, that's why I invested into assets like cryptocurrency and some stocks
Stocks are good to invest on, but crypto is more profitable
Crypto is the new Gold
I wanted to trade crypto but got discouraged by the fluctuations in price
I got Sir Dave Jevans info, how good is he ?
I just used the toilet and it's humming. 👍
And! It is humming!!😂🤣😅x

I love you both dearly, and follow you often, but please Iz sign up to a record company asap as your singing voice is very erm unique!! ;-0
You can sing, that song in the morning to Tom, when he’s had a skin full .
Looks like you really missed an opportunity there in Olden. You really should drive up and see Oldevatnet. Also if you drive all the way you will come to a car park from where you can hike and see the Briksdalsbreen glacier.
Oh my word, such beautiful scenery, great drone footage. Ye are having a superb time you guys.

Don't you like summer in Norway 🇳🇴🌞

When you are in the picture, it is better if you face the camera when you are talking.
Someone needs to poke another hole in the ozone layer as it looks bloody freezing there for June lol
Why ?
This is normal. ❄❄🏔❄❄
This is Norway ! 🤗🇳🇴
This years weather/temperature is NOT normal! I haven't been outside in a t-shirt yet and normally I do that in the beginning of May. I'm living above the arctic circle. It's been really cold this year🙁
Well as a Norwegian I would say it "is" summer, just a Norwegian summer =) Thanks for the videos, fun to see what foreigners do when visiting
Amazing and gorgeous. Like Scotland on steroids ❤❤
Good one !
Love from Norway 🤗🇳🇴
Yooo🇧🇷🤝🏻🇧🇻 I love this country!!
Is Tom ok? He seems a bit ‘flat’. Driving, uploading, editing seems to be getting to him, perhaps he’s just tired? I hope he’s ok?
Norway will be like Groundhog day..for weeks! Snow/mountains/lakes....repeat.
I really liked the longer videos, but sometimes I wouldn’t watch because I didn’t have time for the whole thing.

You don´t need to buy water in Norway, fill a container at the gas station. totally free, and better than bottle-water. ;-)
Some gas station have water outside, but if not you can usually ask. And some of the lay by also have water. But unfortunately it less common than it was some decades ago.

hi
🚐💨🇳🇴💨
Tom you look wore out.
All was great until the rap music

Please stop singing
Iz don't give up the day job. Crushing it with one Vlog a day. Have you checked out Crazytroll Norwegian Tubers. Great for POIs
