Let's get back to showing you what van life in Norway is really about. The highs, the lows, ups and downs. This roadtrip was at times unbearable for us in our tiny VW T3 camper van. A summer with more rainy, gloomy days than days with sun. Feeling discouraged, we ended up almost giving up on the entire idea of being limited by the tiny space in our van. Luckily, along the road we met up with friends and suddenly the entire mood shifted. Hopefully, you can discover a thing or two of what to expect if you choose to visit Norway. And remember to carry on even though some days are best spent doing anything but being outside enjoying the nature Norway have to offer.

It can be challenging specially in a small Van I can tell 🙈🙈, nice to see the neighbor Island on UA-cam, its still on my list I dropped Senja last summer but in couple of days I will be there. Enjoy the summer Simon.

Almost 66, your videos have inspired me. I am saving up my US $$s to rent one of the VW vans out in Lofoton. Maybe next year. Being of Finnish-Swedish-Scottish descent and living on the North Coast of California, I savor clouds and rain over heat!

The reality of the north. Where there is a lot of snow in winter, that snow turns in rain in summer... I have had many tourists here that seems not to realize that. That's what nature is about.

I took time out from working for 2 years and experienced vanlife. Bad weather days made me feel cosy inside the van and having plenty of supplies and entertainment. I doubt that I would feel the same though, being in such a beautiful place and wanting to make the most of it with the time available. Amazing quality video, whatever the weather.
That’s the right approach💪🏼 We got over it eventually, although the van feels extra tiny for us three when everything is drenched by the rain and clothes take up so much space in order to dry up.

We went to Norway for 3 weeks tihs spring (from 28/05 untill 17/06). Only 2 foggy days during our roadtraip, all the rest of the time sun sun sun!! I guess we were very lucky 🙂

My 1991 VW Multi-Van Westfalia has been away for 3.5 years now with a tiny shop that is fixing all the rust and repainting. Yes. 3.5 years. It should be coming back to me in August at last. I have been so busy with work that I just let them keep it all this time to get the work done. I so look forward to having adventures in it this Fall. Thanks for the beautiful scenery.

Bad weather and all it looks like you all had a fantastic time. Can not wait to see where you'll take us next!! For what its worth, we in New England lost the entire month of June due to rain, only got to take my T25 out on the last day of the month and July hasn't been much different from June.

Simon, have you ever driven the Atlantic Ocean Road? I've only seen a short clip of it and did learn that it has challenges and risks (primarily wind, twists and turns, etc). Some have labeled it one of the most dangerous roads. What are your thoughts about it?
I have watched your channel for a few years. I live in Wyoming and we see bears, mountain lions, coyotes and other wild animals that could be dangerous. My question is: Do you ever see bears, wolves, and other wild animals in Norway on your trips. You may have posted some videos of these wild animals, but I don’t remember seeing them. Can I ask how far in kilometres did you travel in your VW camper? any break downs?
We've done close to 50.000 km. Had a few broken belts (alternator etc.), some broken CV-joints and had to change the water pump. Been on the tow-truck twice😁
