This is an informative and quick video tutorial about what kind of weather to prepare for in summertime in Norway and what kind of clothes are most useful and practical under these conditions.
Ronald and Mads are demonstrating and showing all the fabrics in a park in Oslo on a typical summer day in the Nordic region. Ronald starts by doing the big mistake visitors make. And ends up sweaty and walking like a penguin. Then he re-starts and goes through the blueprint. Here are the basic clothes you need in Norway during summer: Waterproof sneakers.
Thick and warm sweater. A wind jacket. A proper raincoat (your umbrella want handle Norway, if you want one, buy it in Norway). Sunglasses, shorts and swimwear. Delicate and thin wool underwear made of 100% merino wool. You can buy this anywhere in Norwegian sports shops. So you don't need to bring your own.
WELCOME TO NORWAY! Hope to see you around :)

Travel to Norway, going to Norway, how is it in Norway, Norwegian life, life in Norway, study in Norway, Norwegian
If you're coming here to Deep South Texas in the Summer on purpose - bring your psychiatrist along, to explain why you've made this strange decision.
Hahahahahaha😁😁😁😁
Hunny, I’m from the cold mountains of NY...it can’t get hot enuff for me😂💗🔥
And if you go to Houston, don’t be scared of the giant flying cockroaches. They love the boiling tropical heat and they love being around people!
I Am A Googler Our cockroaches are jealous of the cockroaches way up north in Houston.
Denise Herud We have the best “heat advisories” here. I know some great parking lots you can walk across in the afternoons.
I love Mads reactions in the background 😅
Elise Me too! He’s such a good side kick! Love them both!
Me too, he makes me giggle.
Mads is hysterical!
I had to replay that part more than once.
@@delorbb2298 same 😂
If coming to the southern USA, mosquito repellent is a must!!
Thanks for sharing 👌
Gallons of mosquito repellent!!!!!😀
I forgot to add that to my comment. The mosquito's just love me. I discovered diluted tea tree oil stops the
itch immediately. FYI
A wise lady once told me in San Francisco, "Dress to strip."
😂👌😂
That is Funny, right there. :-D
"The coldest winter I ever spent was a summer in San Francisco". Brings layers, sweater and light jacket. NO shorts. You will be marked as a tourist for sure. Of course if you drive east into the central valley...HOT!
Oona Johnson Tourists freeze in the evenings, fooled by our balmy days, but when the sun goes down you need a light jacket.
Yep! I have visited San Francisco, and it can be cold on the Bay, warm or even hot in the city. Dress in layers, good walking shoes, ride the tour bus or cable car. "Peace. Love. Recycle."
So, for a summer in Norway I just pack my Mexico City winter clothes and my raincoat, and for a winter in Norway I just pack myself home at first chance, great advice, Thank you
You just made my day 🤣
Pedro Arjona hahahahaha!🤣
To be honest, one acquitance of mine visit Norway some years ago (in the late summer early fall, it's cheaper) and find it lovely
Cutest way to say a penguin. Oh my days. 😂 Had to rewind.
I live near San Francisco, and tourists think because it is in California that it will be warm in Summer. Because of the Bay, and it being by the ocean, it can get very cold even in August. You see miserable travelers in shorts, shivering and buying sweatshirts at gift shops so they don't freeze. Obviously, freezing is relative, but the average temperature in Summer is 67* F (19* C). The quote is "The coldest Winter I ever spent was a Summer in San Francisco". It's not bad, but it's not Southern California, so a lightweight jacket, or sweatshirt and windbreaker to layer is a good idea. Now outside of The City it can get hot. The beaches in Northern California can be cold in Summer as well, but they might not be. I always take a jacket to San Francisco and the beach. Thank you for the video. I enjoyed it.
the best summer is in SF! I live in New Orleans. You are so lucky!
For me, 67* F is already pretty warm especially with wind less than 8mph. I prefer my summer weather in upper 50s to lower 60s. I also live in SF.
Madri Gal SF can be hot. I was sweating in September there.
If you're coming to Wales in the summer (please do, you would LOVE it) , you'd probably pack similar things to Norway but more like 80/20 in favour of shorts and t-shirts. Also for Ronald, swimming stuff in case Mads wants to bully you into swimming when it's too cold. ;) An ordinary umbrella will do and comfortable shoes because some of the best beaches can't be reached by car. If you run out of t-shirts while you're there, buy one that says on the front "I support only two teams: Wales and whoever plays against England". In fact buy one anyway because there IS no better souvenir. ;))))
I will buy that t-shirt ✌ Thanks for sharing your story with us 😀
Wales has the best weather😃 swansea valley has its own weather😛
*Norway's opposite, is Arizona*
You don't wanna be there in Summer, but Winters are perfect.
Although, that's just in the Deserts.
I live at 7000' (2134 m) elevation, and have seen it snow in June.
Too 🥵 for a 🐧 there. Thanks for sharing
Just move to Norway for the summer :)
Absolutely. I live here and I don't want to be here in the summer. At least you don't have to shovel heat, and the rest of the year is paradise. It makes it worth it. And we don't have hurricanes... Floridians... lol
People forget Arizona has 9000' (2743 m) mountains that jut up from the desert landscape. They call them "sky islands." One of them has a ski resort just 45 minutes from Tucson.
Omg I would totes take sun and hot over months of endless cold, snow, then rain. I love the desert!!!
I’m in Oslo right now. Yes, sandals, shorts and a T-shirt are just fine for walking around.
If you’re visiting Chicago, a kevlar vest is highly recommended.
Ann Hutcheson In fact, don’t go to Chicago.
In northern canada the same gear would be quite suitable
Except there are still ravens flying around. Only bird I see flying around in the winters.
@@debralemaire3943 Don't forget the man-eating mosquitos and black flies. Old joke: the mosquitos are so big they have to file flight plans.
Bryce Brogan Hahaha!
But Chicago has the tightest gun laws in the country.....
It should be the safest place to visit in USA.....
Am I wrong ?
the thin wool pants to wear under your regular pants in U.S. are called long underwear or colloquially long johns love your videos
Thanks 😻
Also called base layer in the fancy outdoorsy catalogs. :D
Also sometimes called thermals.
thongs provide ventilated cheekage the world over
Marie M they are called long johns in England
I'm Greek. Right now it's 10:30 in the evening and it's 30 degrees Celsius, and it's not even that hot. Bring a lot of pairs of shorts, T-shirts, and swimming trunks. :)
Almond Smith sounds just lovely! Sigh.
I'm coming to Norway in less than a month. I've bought tickets so that we're sailing from Finland to Sweden on 17th July and we will drive to Norway maybe next day.
WOW!
Welcome to Norway.
Best beer is Aass, Lundetungen, EC Dahls and Mack.
Best hot dog is Leif Vidar - look for the signs at service stations.
Have a safe trip and remember the further north you go the more real Norway becomes.
If you come to southwestern Pennsylvania in the summer bring shorts, t-shirts and flip flops. It gets hot and muggy here. Also bring a light jacket, jeans, tennis shoes, long sleeved cotton shirts and a hoody or sweater because you never know when the temperature will plummet. We can have summer, spring and fall all in one week during June, July and August. In the late spring this year we had winter (snow included), fall, summer and spring (in that order) in an 8 day period. Despite our weird weather I love it here. Our foliage is lush even in the city, our air is moist and we have hills and mountains galore. We don't get many pure sunny days so when the sun shines clear and bright we appreciate it. However, visiting Norway is now on my bucket list.
You make me like Pennsylvania too Blanche 😻 Thanks for sharing your lovely story about life and weather there 👌
@@YOURWAY2NORWAY 💖
A lot like Minnesota. I see why my Norwegian ancestors moved to Minnesota. I’d be all set.
"Wind jacket"-- we call them windbreakers. And our common saying is, "if you don't like the weather here, stick around. It will change!"
In may, we have had 75° F balmy weather, a tornado, and snow all within 1 day!
Thanks for sharing 😀
Where is 'here'?
@@sleepy314 lol..."here" is the midwest, specifically Indiana:-)
You need strong sunscreen to protect your porcelain skin; and mace to keep away the children? Should I bring my mariusgenser? What about my lusekofte?
LOL! 😄
I need my Ronald vids to help me through the day....he is too much! Well done mate, Cheers!
I like your videos so keep up the good work, and that is a fancy suitcase you have 😆
😂😂 it's not mine. I have a small, old black one. Not visual enough. Thanks 🍻
Hawaii - bring swim trunks, wrap-around sports type sun glasses (Maui Jim), light colored hat with wide brim, rash guard (for swimming. most people forget this but it will save your skin if you go into the water a lot), sun block SPF 35+, swim fins, mask & snorkel (you can rent/buy those here), water shoes (for getting in and out of rocky places), loose-fitting, light colored, long-sleeved linen shirt, cotton or linen shorts, light weight & color, airy pants in linen or open-weave cotton. flip-flops. A sweater and mid weight pants for the evenings in case it does cool down a bit. Make sure you book a place with Air conditioning! Love your delivery and content. :-)
Thanks a lot 👌 Hawaii, here we ✈😻
Here in Florida. Shorts, light tee-shirts, breathable walking shoes, sunblock and a rain coat. It's 35+C everyday.
In St. Louis, bring shorts, t-shirts, comfortable running shoes and a towel so you can wipe away the sweat. You will be drinking lots of cold water. It is HOT and HUMID here in the summer. I stay inside with the air conditioning, lol.
I am in the UK, if you are packing to come here, bring Gore-tex walking shoes and walking sandals (you're going to be doing a lot of sightseeing), cotton socks, lightweight trousers, thin layers that you can pile on or off as needed ranging from T-shirts to fleece jumpers, and a rain coat. You can buy a brolly here if you like, but probably a rain proof hat would do you better. Basically, bring stuff for all weathers, but you almost certainly won't need shorts and definitely no swimsuit unless your accommodation has an indoor pool! This advice will apply for May-August. From September-April, same applies, but bring some heavier layers as well and a winter coat.
This video came a bit late for my trip to Oslo 😣... But I did reasonably well my packing anyway. No pinguin 🐧 outfit 😆. Except I got a serious storm one day and my umbrella☔ couldn't cope. It didn't occur to me to buy a Norwegian one. But I'm not a big fan of umbrellas anyway, hence the cheapo lightweight one I brought with me. I bought wool though, two nice, heavy Norwegian sweaters against which the Italian winter will have no chance, I'm sure.
So, tips for the Italian summer: Light clothing, sunscreen and sunglasses, as for every other proper Syden location 😎, but this is the obvious bit. Something more specific: a foldable water bottle to keep in your pocket and fill up at water fountains, to avoid being overcharged by vendors in touristy places, long trousers if you plan to visit churches and the like (in many places men wearing shorts or women with skimpy clothes are not welcome). Oh and about shoes, flip flops are OK at the beach, but if you visit a city you will end up walking a lot more than you expect so the shoes you suggest in the video are also the perfect choice for Italy, comfy above all else. What else? Oh yes, in big crowded cities (Rome, Venice, Florence, etc.) keep your money in the front pocket of your trousers and only a small amount for the day. The rest either at the hotel or in a safety pouch under your clothes. But don't worry too much it is pretty safe nowadays (with some little precautions😉). Relax and eat a lot, best way to enjoy my country 👍
Its that cold in Norway during the summer?!! I'm glad I listened in here, because I can only imagine shivering in the cold summer or rainy summer with only my t-shirt and my shorts! If you come here Ronald and Mads, if you stay only on the coastal plains where the beaches are, t-shirt, shorts and flipflops are o.k. If you want to come up to the central plateau during the wet summer, be sure to bring 1. an umbrella, 2.light blanket for sleep at nite and 3. a light wool or cotton sweater, with no Sun poking through the sky down at us and only clouds, it gets a bit chilly. ;)
It was 41 degrees Celsius the other day here in Texas. Bring as little to wear as possible during the summer. Grab an inner tube(water floating device), a chest of ice cold beer, some drinking water, and find the nearest body of water to live out the rest of your 🥵 stay in. 😁
I wear my sunglasses in the rain or snow 😉😎
👌😎
Coastal NC in the summer must haves: daytime- shorts, t shirts, swim suit; nighttime- jeans, t-shirts. At the beach you should have a windbreaker at night because when the sun goes down, the wind picks up and it can feel chilly next to the 95F days. Sunscreen, mosquito repellent, sunglasses and a sense of humor are necessities!
When this video started and you were peeling off clothes, I was saying: take it off, take it all off!! Hahahaha...
I almost forgot, you also need tick repellent
I live in AZ... be sure to pack your sunglasses and a hat and if you plan on going outside in the summer (not recommended unless you get up VERY early) it's best to wear a thin long sleeved shirt to keep the sun off as much of your skin as possible. We have great hiking here so good heavy boots, not those hiking sandals you see, the cactus thorns go right through them .. ouch!
I spent some time in Norge in the sixties. 1964, late July early August. We hung out on the square by the fjord in Oslo in beautiful warm weather. The sky and water were blue and the atmosphere was almost Meditterranean. And by 4PM on Friday afternoon the town closed down for the weekend so people could celebrate summer. Smart society. A few years later we experienced the rain of Bergen and freezing damp in Trondheim, but again, much nicer weather in the South East. Lovely country and so much friendlier than Sweden.
Hehe, most Norwegian will love you when they read the latter part of your story! :) You seem to have experienced all of our typical summer weather. Thanks a lot for sharing and engaging leneke
Florida in the summer: you will need shorts, tank tops, swimwear, flip flops, sunglasses, and idk why but we don't really carry umbrellas. We just walk in the rain. The heat and humidity means 1. You were already soaked with sweat, and 2. You will be dry again soon. Come visit us soon on the Emerald Coast 😉
We will Michelle 😎😎
Come and visit Hawaii in the summer! You will not need any coat, sweater, windbreaker, raincoat or woollen clothing. It will be hot and humid every day - 30 - 35 C - but it may rain occasionally. Bring shorts, jeans, tshirts or polo shirts and sneakers. Love you guys!! I have heard about the rain in Bergen before 😂
Bring a rashguard big sun hats, and sun protective clothing especially if you are white. Otherwise, you will be painfully red in 15 minutes, lol. Otherwise, the only time you need a sweater or jacket is if you are from here and freeze in January when the temperature dips into the low 70's (21C).
If you come to Charleston, South Carolina USA in the summer (and I hope you visit !) all you need are a bathing suit, a few pairs of shorts, a few casual shirts, and some flip flops! You could easily live out of a carry-on suitcase.
Mads’ reactions to the t shirt, sunglasses, shorts, ...priceless. OMG i love you guys.
Another fantastic, informative video. You guys are the best! Thank you for teaching us about Norway. You've made me add visiting your beautiful country to my bucket-list. All the best to you both.
Loved the clothes you had! Thanks for the tip, so close to the Arctic Circle, really cool! Need Summer & beach wear almost 365 days a year here in Hawaii

Just hearing you say "arctic circle" made me shiver!
Perfect! In one week I go with my friends to Norway 🇳🇴 greetings from Germany 🇩🇪
Texas lite clothing as it is humid and hot but can rain at any time. Love the video LOL
Thanks. Good advice.
Cool
Gosh, your sense of humor is on another level 😂😂😂❤🌿

Awesome and very motivating to hear Summer Wood. Thanks! Hugs and cheers from us :):)
Lovely video and very informative help me in my next trip to Oslo from nord norge
Was in Oslo about two weeks ago with the beautiful cloud formations! So lucky to catch that!!
What else did you see and do ??
I am going to Oslo in two weeks. Thanks for this!
Welcome to Norway 😀😀
Thank you so much for your tips. Tonight I'm starting my road to Norway, from Finland, and your video really helped me with my suitcase. I can't wait to see what adventures are waiting for me.
Cool to hear! Thanks for sharing. Welcome to Norway :):)
Greetings from Baja! In here the summer starts in May and ends in October! We usually are between 45-50 degrees the city (Mexicali) record its 51 at night!!!
I wear wool socks all year in mountains in US. So agree about wool.
All gold advice. It is like you are packing for Appalachian Mountains, USA.
I tune in for the props and YourWay2Norway never disappoints.
Extremely high production value 😊
Hello gents! Just another great informative video with a slash of funny!!😃😂😁your suitcase in the park was like maybe like a "traveling salesman" selling the latest a greatest cooking pans!!! Cool ❄❄❄were those powder baby blue "sneaks"??!! Hey now So, much great style!!! Here in mo...in january you may have a day where you can go coatless even shorts or a january the next day your dressing for the "polar vortex"!! One day in particular....we had rain and thunder showers in the morning...sunny in the afternoon..early evening rain freezing on surfaces....and 5 inches of snow by morning!!! By noon next day its melting...everyone dresses in some interesting outfits!! Flip flops or boots!! They always say here wait you will see weather change in a flash!! Guaranteed you will be in the summer here... sweating in places that you don't Want too....!!!the other day the air was like a soggy sponge!!! 🌪🌩🌨⛈🌬🌞🌝☀️💙💚💚
I live in the redwoods in California, right on the coast. You'll be REALLY lucky if it's above 22 C here. Tourists come wearing shorts and tank tops and are miserable. Wear a tank top under a tshirt under a long sleeve shirt. Bring your light jacket too for the nights. Wear an extra layer when you go to the beach, because it's cold and windy right by the water. The redwood forest is always cool even when it's hot in the sun, so layering is essential. Wear shoes in the forest, because the poison oak goes right up to the edge of the trails!
I love Norway so much and I always look forward to your videos! Thank you for posting!
Thats such a super nice and motivating comment! New video out tomorrow I think. Thanks Betty and cheers from Ronald and Mads :):)
Yay! I can’t wait! I’m always looking forward to what you two post! I love your content! Informative yet funny and a little sarcastic (which is very enjoyable)! ❤️
Every video is highly appreciated! Thank you guys for what you do!
Hehe, the sarcasm gets us going ;) We are happy to have you as a subscriber and commentator - keep up the good job too
I hope to visit Norway one day.
Kisses and hugs from Brazil!
Bem-vindo 😻
In East Tennessee today the temperature is 92F/33C with 93% relative humidity. The heat index calculates that to feel like 128F/53C. Bring swim gear and go to the nearest body of water! Love your videos!!😘
I just returned from a week in Oslo, and it was fabulous. Your tips on packing, saving money, and exploring the city were very helpful! I stayed in Grunerløkka, and visited Sentrum, Frogner, the mountaintop views, Grønland (briefly), Sørengkaia, and Bygdøy. You’re right-Aker Brygge is a tourist hell to be avoided; it was the only part of the city I didn’t like. I think was a big fan of SKAM, especially season three, so I enjoyed finding as many Isak and Even spots as I could.
Thanks...i ll be in Oslo this August...
You should’ve uploaded this video 2 weeks ago! I’m here alreadyyyyyy
Sorry
Should have live streamed it 🙏
Hei Ronald og Mads. Ha! You are giving correct advice but as you said, so many people think that all of Norway is covered in snow all year round!
This vid is great, I don't know how you get your ideas and inspiration but I am glad that you do.
Wool all the way for me it cannot be beaten.
Ha! an umbrella from Bergen- well it certainly rains there, similar to my part of the U.K. so if you visit me bring an umbrella each.
We have had some extraordinarily high temperatures and I know that you have had also. I hate strong sun- autumn is my favourite season, both in U.K and in Norway. This is yet another great vid, love to hear Mads off camera!
Tusen takk.
Johnny. Northwest England. U.K.
Yes, I'm Australian and I went swimming in Norway! Posted on Facebook and it smashed many family members' stereotypes, LOL (though it was in Kristiansand, so as south as you can get). My then young son loved it, personally I was freezing but hey, we did it! And a sunny summer day in Norway is exceptionally beautiful.
You guys are real vikings now🎖 Thanks for sharing your lovely story 👌😀
Hey Ronald! I'm back! Sorry for the slow slow reply but anyways nice video as always! About my trip in Bergen it has been incredible! All of the days were sunny anf beautiful. We explored the city, ate plukkfisk and bought lots and lots of stuff! Including a traditional sweater ;). I did buy an umbrella in Bergen btw, absolute beast umbrella. I went trekking on Fløyen and explore the trek routes. I took some stunning pictures on the road and on my birthday I took a boat trip around the city. There was fog till the half of the trip and then it retreated leaving a superb view. The boat captain was stunned. And yeah to all the people going to Norway take sunglasses! You'll need them!
Hei Thunder 😀 So nice to hear from you again! So many sunny days in Bergen 😱 You are blessed 😂 Thanks for sharing your awesome story with us !
Uptight Penguin..I love it!
Love your channel! If you ever come to Texas in the summer you will need to pack cotton shorts, cotton t-shirts (cotton is a must), sandals, sunglasses, sun block, and insect spray (mosquitoes are horrible here). It might be a good idea to bring a lightweight wind/rain jacket and umbrella, especially if it's early in the summer. Not so much in August. Lightweight, flexible sneakers are necessary if you plan to hike. A battery operated pocket fan is also a real good idea, especially for outdoor activities. This is especially true in South Texas where it's very humid. I promise you that you will not need anything made out of wool, so use the space in your suitcase for extra shorts and t-shirts and the lightweight pair of cotton denim jeans for going out to restaurants, etc. That about does it. Pretty simple, really. Bottom line, it's hot as hell here in the summer.
Good to know tips! Colorado weather calls for layers. Gets cold in the mountains at night!
You have well covered all you will need in Oregon USA as well! We are on the 45 th parallel not the arctic circle but its hard to remember if you are on top of a mountain!
Perfect for packing my suitcase in a month ! Now because of you i have to go shopping ! Dommage ! 😁
I am in England and I think I already own most of these clothes as we can have multiple seasons in one day too!
What an incredible teacher for someone with no knowledge of coming to Norway for visiting
If coming to Greece , just bring your bathing suit and lots of sunscreen and you're good to go
Your tip, we call them long johns in America. They are brilliant. Good things to know. Thank you. I dream of coming to Norway. My ancestors are from there. Have a great night...or day. Lol. 🌹
I just saw a video on the Vigiland Sculpture Park. Oh my!!!
Ronald, you are so funny. No matter what my mood is, you cheer me up!😁😁😁
Thanks for being cool Liz 😀
Love you videos!
Thanks and cheers from Ronald and Mads in the team 😀😀
We call the “long underpants” long john in Canada.
We have a lot of tourists that come to the Iowa State Fair every year in August. Why? I don't know. It is hot hot 🔥!! But this is Iowa and the weather can change in a minute so when you pack, make sure you bring sunglasses, a sun hat ( to keep the sun off your face) sunscreen, shorts, tank top, t-shirt, athletic shoes (cuz you're going to do a lot of walking) and just in case bring a sweatshirt and maybe some jeans and an umbrella. Because sometimes the weather changes and we get cold rainy weather during the fair. But the weather aside, the Iowa State Fair kicks ass!!
FYI buying umbrella in Bergen... They sell the cheapo small ones that fit in your purse (and won't survive Bergen rain) as well... So look for the sturdy ones with thick metal ribs. I'm from Bergen, so I own a "sydvest" and proper rain gear, and leave the umbrella at home when the wind wants to fight me....
Important info!! Thanks a lot for adding 👌😀
Thank you. Very useful tips. As Spanish I always pack too much staff when going somewhere colder. I remember my first time in Scotland, I was kynda going to a artic expedition 😅
Haha, I have seen many of you around. Dressed for arctic when there is 32 degree in the air. Thanks for sharing and engaging with us. Cheers from Ronald and Mads
do love your dramatic videos.....hope to visit someday
Welcome 😀
And thanks!
I love your channel! I live in North Mississippi, USA. Normally in July and August it's 36 or 37 degrees celsius, with around 60% humidity. So the heat index is around 39 degrees celsius. We usually just dash from the air conditioned car to the air conditioned buildings. At night and early morning, it is very nice. Shorts, tank tops, and sandels are the preferred dress. Jeans and cool short-sleeved or sleeveless tops are good.
🥵🥵 Thanks for sharing. And thanks a lot for your engagement and very motivating comment 😻
Thanks for the temperatures in Celsius, I know it doesn't come natural to Americans but you have been very considerate since you were addressing an European UA-camr. This European commenter also appreciates it. Thumbs up 👍
It is hot and muggy here in The New Forest ,windows open and big fan on all night xx
I’ve visited the south of Norway (Oslofjord) in July every year for the last 19 years - it is usually pretty warm! 25-30 degrees C, I typically wear shorts and short sleeves or long sleeves, though it can get fairly windy. About three years ago however, it was very nearly freezing - in the middle of July!
That's so typical Norwegian summer weather. But it's most stabile in the Oslo fjord region. Thanks for sharing 👌
First July week in Norway and temperature drop to 3 degree and snowing.
Not in the North we didn’t overpass the Oslo Bergen line.
All tourist could be easily recognized by the new colour jackets !
And rain of course not too much fortunately and expected.
But so low temperatures were not expected.
Oslo showed his better colours and sun anyway.
In Algeria you'll need short and t-shirt
If you come to Chicago, Illinois a mixture of sweaters, jeans, shorts, tee shirts, light rain coat with a hood, umbrella, and walking shoes. Also a swimsuit so you can hang out at either Oak Street beach or North Avenue beach. You can see Chicago's very impressive skyline and if here in August can see the Air and Water Show from the both beaches.
For the USA from Europe.... pack light as clothes are a bargain here. Nice looking slip on sneakers, decent pair of day to night jeans, sleeping joggers, 4 or so weather appropriate tops and a jacket... about all one needs. Leave room in your bag for shopping.
Okay guys another great video. Fun & informative. Coming to Texas in summer. If you could get away with going naked??? It's illegal!!! You could get a bad burn on all those sensitive body parts too. Lots of swim suits & sunscreen. Summer hats, sunglasses, comfortable shoes. Nothing tight. Something to wear for dinner. Nice but casual. By the time dinner time comes around you will be ravenously hungry. Sandals, sneakers, & swimming shoes. Love you guys!!!
If you come to Arizona in the summer. You will need sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat. Shorts and t shirts are recommended. Jeans work too. Boots are essential to hike in the mountains as well as jeans. Bring swimming trunks and tennis shoes as well.
If you ever visit the netherlands bring that storm umbrella from bergen 🙌🏻
Visiting from 7-21 of august in southern norway ( trondheim and down ) looking forward to it!

Thanks. We ❤ you right back 😃😃
In Stornoway, pack as you would for Bergen. In London, jeans, sneakers, shorts, t-shirts, and something light and waterproof. Great video. Very useful.
Thanks for sharing Iain Campbell. Think I will go to London ;)
here in the philippines during summer most people bring shorts, foods ,water etc especially sun screen xuz the temperature can be higher in 39, 40C° 🤷
I live in Minnesota USA, land of the Norwegians, pack like you are staying in Norway. It has been known to snow in July here.
Comprehensive video! Now I know what to bring to Norway in summer - even long Johns! It’s June gloom in San Diego, California but little rain, but t-shirts, jeans and tennis shoes are good now. You can wear shorts and flip flops in July. Will you do a Norwegian Midsummer video of how you celebrate? Would love to see it! 💖
👌😎
Here in Pittsburgh (where the Penguins stay inside and play hockey) I used to worry about not having thick-soled boots for winter. When I did have boots, they would tear apart my white athletic socks. Last year I switched and wore thick wool socks under athletic shoes. It's the best way -- the Norwegian way, apparently. My feet never felt better during the winter. Thank you for validating my decision.
Ha ha ha
Heading back to Norway this Sunday. Basically packed like that. Here in the UK, definitely need a waterproof jacket, jumper and really the same as Norway. 👍
Can I also ask a really weird question. Your trainers. What model of Adidas are they. Love them 👍
Long Johns is what we call them with a vest
A packet of lemsips for the constant colds we have regardless of any weather
winter in Norway is got to be Amazing Uffdda
