The Ghadar movement was a movement founded by expatriate Indians to overthrow British rule in India in the early 20th century. Baba Sohan Singh Bhaknaji was the founder of this Gadar movement. The initial movement was created by revolutionaries who lived and worked on the West Coast of the United States and Canada, but later the movement spread to India and the Indian diaspora communities around the world. The official establishment date is 15 July 1913.
After the outbreak of World War I in 1914, some members of the Ghadar Party returned to Punjab to instigate an armed revolution for Indian independence. The Ghadris smuggled arms into India and incited Indian soldiers to rebel against the British. The rebellion, known as the Ghadar Mutiny, failed and seven rebels were hanged after a trial in the Lahore Conspiracy Case. Baba Sohan Singh Bhakna ji had said after 1947 that this is not the freedom for which we fought.

Kartar Singh Sarabha was a patriot. He was not very religious and he died to young.
Later on even Bhagat Singh's family was deeply steeped in Arya Samaj.
