Omg the most entertaining and informative looping video ever ! Thank you for educating us and making us laugh and smile at the same time with your song.
Best tutorial and explanation channel I’ve ever watched (and not just on this topic). Bummer your shops are placed only in UK. Plans to open in Norway or Italy?
Thanks for the free concert Sam, it was awesom and never expected it to be that good. More power to you. By the way, those looping pedals, do they record in the pedal and can you set the lenght of the recording session.
Wonderful! Informative, inspiring, enthusiastic and entertaining. Am beginner who has had loop pedal sitting unused for over 3 years, feeling intimidated by it, and this will spur me to have a go, at last. Thank you!
2 years and 7 months later, this video is still good and hilarious! As advised in Sam's beginner guide to pedal types, I watched this since my first pedal, the EHX720 arrives tomorrow to aid my learning experience with acoustic guitar (1 acoustic/electrics and a Ibanez Artcore AS73). The latter sounds good unplugged, and the Vox Mini3 G2 amp works with all three. Thanks to Sam and his Sheeran method coach!
Would love to see an updated video like this, featuring the New RC500. No one else has explained loopers better. the entertaining nature makes all the difference in the world. Thanks!
Humble guy wich is actually good!👍 Do you have a tip for doing the same set up with the dittox4 who has two in and outputs either but without the xlr? I mean, i would like to loop my guitar and some vocals at the same time, just like you did. Best from France.
Came to learn looping but watched until the very end for more rap. Spoiler alert, there was no more. That was it. The worst scenario I can think of is that what we just heard is what goes on non-stop in his head. Hope not, but he did infected many poor souls with his sorcery and curses.
I absolutely love that video! Thank you, on so many levels. It was informative, entertaining, and most of all, I’ll never get this loop out of my brain. Thank you!
There are 2 modes with the RC-1. Mode one is better for beginners as it doesn’t automatically go into overdubbing and to stop the loop you only need to tap the pedal one time.
Hi Sam, I know it’s a long time since you made this video, So I’m learning to play the electric guitar, I’m currently using a boss katana 100 mk2 with a ga-fc foot controller, can I use a looper with my set up ?
At 13:10, how did you overdub different parts at the same time without pressing the pedal? Wouldn't the different sounds follow each other chronologically instead of playing on top of each other?
Hello, could you please tell me sth about the rc 30. It has no headphone output. Could I work with the rc 30 quietly by using my boss gt 100? I can't play loudly in my room. Thanks!
Checkout dubfx ,specifically song no rest for the wicked. Recorded live on a rooftop in Delhi . He's been looping for years and makes it look effortless.
thanks for doing this, even after Ed Sheeran demonitized this and his lawyers contact you for copyright strike because he "first one to use looping music technique and key to his sound, so it's copyrighted like certain chord progressions or rhythms.
ok the dancing is right up there ....with dancing with the stars! I went into this trying to learn how to but ended up with a song stuck in my head! Loop Loop! love it
Amazing coverage, with no wastage! Admittedly, it helps to incentivise a user by listening to a competent artist such as what we have here. I will now get down to my gear shop and move on up to an RC-30... but I'll reserve the old boy for a nice keyboard ambience.
Hahaha amazing tutorial and Looper song was incredible crazy . I love it man ! Recently I got my RC30 as birthday present and I’m crazy to play as hobby . I’m a guitar player since early ages but I have another profession, I love my 5 guitars and I want to play all in one song loop can helping me for sure . Just one question behind box RC-30 have an out in mono and stereo , do I have to buy a extra speaker unit where I can play guitars , do records with microphone , I got a situation when I trying to amplify with my guitar I don’t have this quality of sound . Do I have to buy a DJ speaker in order to get clean sound of all records? Give some brands I can get here in USA. Thank you so much , promise to see more videos to be prepare before big day with my loop . 😜Regards and lot of blessings. 😜👍🤪
I have the RC-20XL I bought off of Craigslist, they discontinued them so not to much online about the model, I see Mike Campbell has one on his pedal board so they must be reliable. Thank you for making this video, I’m as green as you can get on looping.
The first time I heard a looper was at the Jazz Workshop(Boston) 1970 and Rasahn Rolland Kirk used it with his multiple saxaphones and flute. In a small venue like that it was mind blowing.
I visited PMT Norwich and also Southend. Nice helpful guys so I had to buy my Yamaha THR10C from them. And now I see they do great helpful video's. Nice one, cheers guys.
So do you have the mic and piano and guitar plugged into the mixer and then mixer to looper and then back to the mixer? Just wondering how you are planning left and right and have all those instruments hooked up to the looper
Brilliant👏🏻 was looking for some helpful tips as a new looper owner and found them here. Demo was excellent and even reduced me to tears😂 Keep up the good work guys 🎸💥✊
I don't understand why this video doesn't have 50,000,000 views. That demo was extraordinary!
When he started screaming and bashing that cymbal caught me totally off guard. I then immediately hit the like button.

Fantastic! Loved the demo song. Was literally laughing out loud. Thank you for making learning so much fun. Why are you not in Brighton?
Sam, loved the video and the guitar, a Gretsch Streamliner methinks?
We worked with the RC-20 and RC-50 for a long time. But we had to change to a software solution.
I visited PMT Norwich and also Southend. Nice helpful guys so I had to buy my Yamaha THR10C from them. And now I see they do great helpful video's. Nice one, cheers guys.
