On a sony A7 M3: what is the best solution? Tamron 150-500mm or Lens sony 100-400 4.5-5.6 lens + sony focal multiplier also 1.4 ?? this is for sports photos Thank you
I think Tamron is a better solution. I don't like using teleconverters because you lose a stop and the resolution isn't as good.
I will be testing this lens on my a7siii for videography , pretty excited is there limitations to FPS when using this lens as far as videos ?🧐

Nice review ! What's your opinion on using VC above 1/1500th- 1/2000th of a second (handheld) I have this lens and having some issues with BIF and wondering if that could be the problem. Thanks
Do a test handheld shooting with and without VC of a stationary object at a distance and see if there is any difference in the images. I don't think VC is the problem, but I can't see what you are seeing. Best thing to do is some testing.
Great review! Enjoyed it alot and excited it is now available for my Fuji XH2S albeit with a Fuji tax at $1499..........Question, I do alot of panning for racing. Is the panning feature on this lens more of a gimmick or does it somehow improve panning success rates? I haven't found videos yet on this panning feature. If it is legit, I'm more inclined to pay the Fuji tax, if not, the price is too close to other Fuji lenses.
I did not test it in comparison to other Fuji lenses so I cannot comment on that.

Hi which one would you recommend this or Sigma 150-600 for sony where I live Sigma is cheaper by 150$
I love the Tamron 150-500mm. It is an incredible. I have not shot with the Sigma but it is nice to have that extra reach.

The flex lock is cool
It is very helpful so you can lock your lens in at the focal length you are working at.
I was able to achieve minimum focus at .36 meters/36 centimeters. Is this because I have a 1.5 crop factor with my APS-C Body?
No. It’s because the lenses length is counted in the minimum focus distance. It’s distance from the sensor. Not front element.
There is vintage glass who can do well for product photography can do well on m50?
There is a lot of vintage glass that will work on the EF mount but it won't have the autofocus features.

good to hear some experience with shutter speed less than reciprocal.
many reviews of this lens are shot between 800th to 2500th, which isnt too insightful, especially on stationary subjects

Yes, it is Sony compatible!
The segment with the soccer was the type of test you would do with the Sony A1.
We tried. Sony didn't have one available.
@@TheSlantedLens That's Sony's mistake. If they want to make inroads to the Canon & Nikon territory, they should've provided you (all) with the bodies and telephoto lenses. After all, the A1 is designed for events and sports. And they don't even have the 300mm f2.8. Disappointing.
Please compare it with the Sony 200-600mm
I have shot both the Sony 200 to 600 and the Tamron 150-500. There are pros and cons each way. It would be a good comparison. I'll put it on the list.
@@TheSlantedLens Can you tell me sharpness wise wide open at all focal lengths which would be the better choice with the A7R4 (not considering the price just image quality wide open) ?
