How to remove a front sway bar permanently

Due to unfortunate circumstances, the sway bar had to be cut out of this 2004 Cavalier. While it's not good practice to do such a thing, it's not financially practical to do the proper repair on a car this old and rusty.

Doesn't it make you feel good to be able to get 20 years out of a car? Now that's getting your money's worth! GM's are the best for that.
