- These homemade oat bagels are a lighter and healthier alternative to the traditional bagels, you may love to try for breakfast or as a snack! Made with simple, wholesome and protein-rich ingredients, they are amazing 😍
Instructions:
In a mixing bowl, thoroughly blend the egg and the yogurt until well combined.
Add oat flour, which you can easily make by blending rolled oats until fine. Incorporate baking powder and salt into the mixture. Stir the dry and wet ingredients together just enough to mix the whole ingredients. Gradually add milk, one tablespoon at a time, while stirring. You can add up to 1/4 cup of milk, ensuring that the batter reaches the desired consistency - not too runny or too thick (it will depend on the brand of oat you will be using, we needed 3 tablespoons to reach the desired consistency in this recipe).
Grease a six-bagel pan with coconut oil or other neutral oil and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning. Spoon the batter into the prepared bagel pan.
In a preheated oven, bake your bagels at 350°F / 180°C for 25 to 30 minutes, or until they're golden brown and firm to the touch. Once baked, allow the bagels to cool on a rack. Serve fresh bagels with your favorite accompaniments!
Ingredients:
These amounts are enough for 6 small sized bagels:
1 egg
1/2 cup of rich and thick yogurt
1 cup (80 g) oat flour (made by blending rolled oats)
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
Up to a 1/4 cup of milk (add gradually, 1 tablespoons at a time, while stirring to achieve the desired batter consistency)
Coconut oil (for greasing the bagel pan)
Everything bagel seasoning (for sprinkling on the pan)

Hey I made your recipe but my bagels didn’t rise as yours . I use non fat Stony feel yogurt . Do you think that’s the issue.
Hey there,
I don’t think the brand of yogurt you used is the issue! The only things you should check after are a batter relatively on the runny light side (that it can rise), a good quality baking powder and not to stir too much the batter when gathering the ingredients together (just enough to combine. Over-mixing make the batter heavy and it won’t rise). Hope these can help 🙏

@@yogawithfliss4107 you can use a large muffin pan or a mini loaf pan and fill them up to the 1/3 (don’t fill too high that they can bake inside) 🙏

Yes, you can keep them in the freezer for a few weeks. You need to warm them up before serving 🙏
