I've been making these for awhile and have loved them. I toast them, put cream cheese, smoked salmon, and red onion on them, but lately the coconut taste is putting me off a little bit - tolerable but not ideal. Yesterday I made the recipe again but used 30 grams of coconut flour and 30 grams of almond flour. It really cut down on the coconut taste. It did make the dough a little stickier to work with but not too bad.

I tried this and it was AMAZING. It tastes almost like real bread but much softer. And it has no eggy flavor, so I really recommend it. Best keto bread I’ve ever tried. Thank you so much!

Hi Carolyn, It would be great if you or one of your viewers could give me an idea of what to reduce or replace vital wheat Gluten with. I make the Keto King loaf, which actually came from Derdre. I've reduced the Gluten by 30grams but wonder if I could use some coconut or almond flour to replace part of it. I've already improved the texture by reducing the Gluten and replacing with flax. This is to reduce the chewiness. Or maybe another low Carb flour. Would appreciate some ideas, Colin.
We so miss our bagels on the keto diet and your bagels look amazing. However, so many amazing looking recipes we have tried have left us so disapppointed. People keep saying that you just cannot expect keto recipes to be as good as the traditional foods we are used to...especially breads. My question is are your bagels truly chewy as bagels are supposed to be?

I'd love to make these for breakfast, since eggs are a little hard to find right now and this would let me make 2 eggs spread out into 8 keto breakfasts.
@@AllDayIDreamAboutFood I just made these without any additive, but did end up kneading in a touch more coconut flour (it was too sticky). These are FANTASTIC! No coconut taste (I used Anthony's), and they toasted nicely. I don't really like almond flour-based fathead dough, but this is great. Hubs asked me to make another batch to wrap around hot dogs. Thanks for this!
are the eggs room temperature before mixing. I just made them and the flour and cheese did not want to mix in together. Terrible, so I made buns. I must have the wrong cheese.

I think you're better off adding some other protein powder, like whey or egg white, to help replace the gluten.

Yep, but keep an eye on the bottoms. I might put the oven rack in the second highest position so that they don't over-brown.

I think you could try that. Maybe a teaspoon? Hard to be sure it will work but at the very least, you'd have flat keto bread you could toast and eat!

They don't have to be room temp for these. It's probably your cheese - what did you use?
Check your mozzarella. The mozzarella can has ( modified milk). If yes it’s not good 😢
