@@johnacord6224 Tims comment is a year old, so you are in the same age 😁, me too. I found Liliac last week and now listen to all their videos and the most reaction videos. They are incredible, all of them. Also their originals are fantastic. Sounds like good old melodic 80's Rock. I love it.
Not a fan of bands that thrash covers, I like to hear them done as they should be. Liliac gets an A+!

I love Liliac they are so talented and they redefine what it is being Rock Stars. The thing is Liliac has a deep love and passion for Dio. They sounded more like the original. I will say Killswitch sounded great doing it their way.

I heard the killswitch version for a long time before liliacs version i always love the interpretation of the song. But i must say liliac does a better version of the song its more like the original with a female vocalist on it.

Ronnie James Dio has been smiling down on Liliac since their days on the Santa Monica Pier.
Liliac stayed true to Ronnie and Melody is a real embodiment of DIO when they perform his songs.
Liliac proved that less is often more. Big productions are often used to veil mediocre performances as is the case here.
Liliac will keep the memory of Ronnie alive in our "Sacred Hearts" for decades to come.

Both were absolutely amazing in their own way. Both are insanely talented. If you force me to pick one, I'd have to pick Liliac, but there's really no reason to have to pick. Both go into the playlist!
Both were great! Visually I'd give the nod to Killswitch, really liked Liliac better listening. No shame in anyone's game. Both different, both terrific!
Great reaction! What you need to understand is that Liliac's aim was to be as true to the original as they could. Killswitch made it their own. Have to admit I didn't care for the Killswitch version much but it is only my opinion. Thank you for the reaction video and please keep exploring Liliac videos (both covers and originals).

I have to go with Melodio. Vinny Appici former Black Sabbath and Ronnie James Dio drummer gave Melody from Liliac the name Melodio they are phenomenal.She also follows the style of Dio.
Killswitch version was ok,but melody just channels DIO like no other, even DIOS widow gave her the nod of approval....

Never been a fan of the Killswitch version, to be totally honest. It just never clicked with me. Liliac’s version, on the other hand, absolutely blew me away the first time I heard it.
I will never, ever talk crap about musicians. Lillac was awesome, but Killswitch is just more my jam, if ya feel me. Definitely gonna check out more of Lillac's stuff, though.

I've watched your reaction to this video several times and I finally came up with a good response. When you said it wasn't fair to pit Liliac vs Killswitch you were correct. It wasn't fair, to Killswitch that is. I feel Liliac blew then away. As a matter of fact Liliac puts to shame imo a lot of Grammy award winner singers and group. As a matter of fact I would love to see Liliac on stage at the Grammys or Billboard Music Awards etc and do a cover such as Enter Sandman then do an original like Mars with Sam's solo in it and really show those people 1. What real music is and 2. What a real band sounds like when it has the passion and determination that Liliac has. Great reaction again. You guys are great. RORH.

Since you love covers, Liliac has several. Enter Sandman, The Trooper, Somebody to Love, Rainbow in the Dark
KE’s version became almost unrecognizable as it went on. Liliac’s stayed true to the original and was more of a great tribute to Dio as it was probably meant to be!

I've heard other people describe Melody's voice as a combo of RJD & Janis Joplin. They've also covered Rainbow in the Dark.
Toss up. Love Liliac and Melody's voice always gives me goose bumps regardless, but the musicianship of Killswitch Engage is top notch. 2 versions both amazing.

Both was great I like Killswitches version but Liliac was amazing. This is my first time hearing them looks like to me they have a bright future as they get older. They are exceptional for their ages.
LILIAC is exceptional for ANY age. They've been rocking for at least ten years now (FANGS?) and sound like they've been playing for 20 years.

Naaah....I think Liliac kills it - when the singer stares to me with her angry expression, her temper, her attitude ("What do you want ? I have THE voice..!"), the drummer destroys her kit, and the guitar also in control - this band would have been very successful when I grew up in the 70s and was listening to Deep Purple, ACDC,... It is not just about the music, it is about the story telling, and with Liliac's version I feel that 100% . Amazing band !

I was hooked on Liliac, ever since I heard of them and even before, when they were, The Cristeas. Along with a lot of cover songs, they have 2 independent cds out, Chainof Thorns and Queen of Hearts. Check out, Sail Away, and Mars. Band and a family package as well, they are the TOPS!!!!!

Liliac did an exact cover of Dio's original song...killswitch added a bunch of extra stuff into their version. If we're talking a cover of the original song, Liliac won hands down.
Experience does not always make you better.. and taking all the variables (age,experience etc.) into account.. my vote would be for Liliac! Melody is only 16 so... can you imagine where they could be in even just 5 yrs?? Check out additional cover video's etc. such as 'Crazy Train'.
