    Game Description:
The Talos Principle 2 is a thought-provoking first-person puzzle experience that greatly expands on the first game's philosophical themes and stunning environments with increasingly mind-bending challenges.
Born into a new world where biological humanity is extinct but human culture lives on in a city of robots, you find yourself swept up in a mind-bending adventure involving a mysterious megastructure hiding enormous powers.
The more you discover, the more you will be confronted with questions about the nature of the cosmos and the purpose of civilization. The broken promise of a better tomorrow, the fear of repeating humankind’s mistakes, faith in reason or renouncing humanity altogether - the choices you make and the sides you take will determine the course of events.
    A New Generation of Puzzles
Solve a wide array of puzzles with varying difficulty levels, including clever metapuzzles and highly challenging Gold puzzles. Finish the game without solving every puzzle, or pursue the rewards of complete mastery. A variety of new abilities, such as gravity manipulation and mind transference, join the established mechanics of the original Talos Principle, creating a fresh but familiar experience.
    A Philosophical Odyssey
Take the next step forward in the story of The Talos Principle in a thought-provoking, character-driven interactive story with multiple endings penned by returning writers Jonas Kyratzes (The Eternal Cylinder, Clash: Artifacts of Chaos) and Tom Jubert (The Swapper, Subnautica), joined by Verena Kyratzes (The Hand of Merlin, Serious Sam 4).
    Brave New World
Explore more than a dozen all-new environments, from a city on the brink of a paradigm shift to the varied landscapes of a mysterious island that holds the keys to the future. Take a break from puzzle-solving to discover long-buried secrets and strands of forgotten history.
    The Melodies of Creation
Immerse yourself in the rich, bittersweet world of The Talos Principle with a stunning soundtrack by master composer Damjan Mravunac (Serious Sam, The Talos Principle), with a guest appearance by Chris Christodoulou (Risk of Rain 1 and 2).

I appreciate these videos. It's rare to find good commentary on puzzle games, especially the hard ones.
Everybody and their mother covered TP2, but I don't think I've seen a single let's play of Into The Abyss DLC.
    Anyway, thanks for the content™
And also for reminding me that I need to (finally) watch that Black Mirror season. Demon 79's story conceit sounds interesting

Your solution to Metathesis worked because your lasers weren't crossing, they were hitting the other object on both sides.
My solution involved getting a green beam from the alt exit to the previous puzzle.

#10: Metathesis actually has a proper solution that's really elegant, which does not require any precise placements or speed tricks (I used the latter when I solved it). Kind of mind-boggling too, when you see it for the first time and realize what it's doing. It has something to do with a concept that you like to bring up: dead spaces in puzzles.

While Portal 2 itself makes it clear cube fizzling is happening in universe its also very much a fix to solve putting a cube in an unrecoverable position. Its there for convenience so you don't have to reset the entire puzzle, and not part of the puzzle in itself. Mel making it a mechanic is stepping outside that and can be immersion breaking.

These puzzles are crazy. There's so much visual noise that its hard to track at times. Might just be that I don't click with it, but I hope it is easier when you're on the sticks.

1:02:22 "Humans are often charitable, and often community focused, and often want to reduce harm and help people, but those are the individual people. The power structures we create do evil and make the world worse, and it's our complacency with power structures that allows the evil to continue".
That reminds me of a Ronald Reagan quote: "People do not make wars; governments do". That being said, there's a lot to unpack here.
Humans are definitely community-focused, but their charity often only extends to members of the same community (it's the in-group-out-group bias, and that causes all sorts of social tension, even when the out-group differences are not impactful from a societal standpoint). It's hard to have a representative government when politicians are such a small sample of then population, but it's not like representative/majority decisions are necessarily the best ones (that's why things like the Chevron deference - deferring to expert/federal agencies when interpreting ambiguous parts of laws - used to exist). Any governance system depends on a balance between expertise (knowing the consequences of decisions), representation (legitimizing those decisions), and accountability (making sure those decisions are being made in favor of society). Finding that balance is not easy, so I understand and share that frustration.
I think revolutions only become necessary if you can be completely be sure the root of the issue is systemic. And even in that case, it's still worth considering if there's any way to make systemic changes from inside the system (like creating/changing laws). Even if a revolution is needed, it doesn't need to be violent (especially if most people support the change).
