Part two also outstanding. So clear and also pleasant to listen to. Thank you.
Thank you I had watch someone else ,but your way is much easier to follow thank you
So well explained . Straight to the point without any waffle . Please do more tutorials.
Thank you for your kind words. I haven't had much time lately, but I hope to get back to making more soon! Thanks for watching!
I finished my first altered book yesterday after watching your video series. You explained things so well and I really loved the process. Thank you!!
Thanks so much for such a clear, detailed delivery. Really think I'm going to be able to do this.
Thanks for sharing . This has been very helpful. 🙏💜👍🏻
Thanks for sharing this with me it was great. Made things much easier. Natasha.
Thus was so helpful for me ❤ I am doing a nutcracker children's book 📖
Glad you liked it. Have fun with your journal!
Thanks for all the tips❣️
Even though this is 2yrs. Ago this was great and easy to follow. I was able to follow with out having to back up and try to figure out what was meant. I have learned from part 1 and 2. I wish to see how you decided to decorate your pages. I found interesting that you keep the pockets open till you decided on the paper thank you. 😊
Again, thank you for the clear and detailed explanation. This two-part series has been extremely helpful to me! I also appreciated your tip on how to keep the Beacon glues from bubbling up - it makes sense. I will be sure to tip the bottle slowly from here on in. I've heard that thinning with a small bit of acetone will help also. My experience with the Beacon 3-In-1 glue versus the Fabritac is that the 3-in-1 is excellent at glueing fabric, plastic and wood pieces to each other or to paper, whereas the Fabritac is good primarily for fabric-to-fabric and fabric-to-paper. Thank you, Tallulah Hill (in the comments) for the insight on washability as well. I didn't realize that, so it's a helpful tip.
.
I notice no one else has offered a suggestion on how to glue that final page... It's probably too late now, but I like the idea of making a long folded pocket to mirror the page in the back. Hopefully that makes sense. Great video, and I will be back to watch more! I've subscribed too. P.S. I'm your neighbor to the East, in Idaho! :-) Hugs, Marci
Super simple video well explained. I got inspired to do this but I used a sewn book and removed middle of signature pages. It is going to work really well. Thanks. 😊
Just found your channel. Awesome tutorials❤️
Glad you like them! Thanks for watching!
I'm almost finished tearing out the pages from the front of the book. The back is finished. There's some gapping, but it's my first altered book experience and I'm having fun.
Hello great instruction❤
I really liked the pockets folding a page on half. Great tips on pockets, thanks!
Carla Lopez thanks!! Have fun making one!
Awesome how-to 👍🙂
This was two years ago. Where are the videos of you decorating this?
A lot has happened in the last few years and I haven’t been able to work on it. I hope to get back to this soon!
@@fabcraftsandmore ok thanks. I thought I was just not finding them
Thank you ever so much for the very comprehensive instruction. I like that you are so neat in your work - the end result is spectacular for each section!
Thank you for your kind words. I hope it was helpful and you have fun making your own. Thanks for watching!
I was wondering about the difference between 3-1 vs Fabri-Tac last week while shopping at Joanns. I couldn’t find any documented details to differentiate the two - except the price.
Thanks for the tips on gluing the pages- I “jacked mine up” on my last attempt.
They are different although they are interchangable. Fabri-Tac is better for fabric. We don't have the full list of ingredients. Both can be thinned with acetone.
Yes, the difference in price is a nice plus. I usually choose the 3-in-1 for this reason and because it holds plastic and wood pieces really well in addition to fabric. I like the versatility. Of course, I find availability of the different Beacon products to be iffy, even within the same store (Hobby Lobby for instance). The best/most reliable place I've found for buying the 3-in-1 glue is an E-Bay seller with Walmart being my second choice. Of course, you can always pull up the 40%-off coupon at HL on your phone and that helps combat the high price also. :-) ~Marci
Good to know! I just purchased FabriTac for the first time. I was looking for 3-in-1 but my JoAnn's did not have it and I had a 50% off coupon, If you go to the Beacon website they have a PDF that shows what each product is good for, FabriTac supposedly works on more things - leather, metal and photos where 3-in-1 does not, but even then they seem extremely similar.
I watched part 1 last night and tore out my pages today. This is a great tutorial and very well explained.
Yay!! It's really fun and an easy way to get started with junk journaling.
I came across your tutorial this morning and I just wanted to say you are excellent at explaining how to do an altered book! I so enjoyed listening! Thank you!
Thank you so much for the compliment! This made my day better! Thanks for watching and I hope you have fun making your own. :)
Thank you
You're welcome! Thank you for watching!
Hi. This is great instructions. Did you do a video of decorating this altered book? I can't find it on your channel. Thank you!
I do not yet. After making this video the holiday season kept us very busy and then after that we moved. I am just now getting my craft space organized and hope to continue the altered book with some more videos soon!
Thank you for sharing this 2-part video. You have given me inspiration for my weekend project. I better start scouting for my book.
Thanks so much for this. Very helpful and easy to follow!
You really explain things well, I’m going to make one for sure.. Thanks
Fabulous tutorial! Thank you. I’m excited to start my altered book.
I’m learning sooo much from you, thank you for your time 🙂
Wow this was amazing! Thank you so much!
OH so fun to learn this teknik. I love this 😍
Glad you liked it. 😊
The difference between the fabritac and 3 in 1 is their ability to be machine washed. Fabritac will hold up better over time than the 3 in 1 on projects you will wash. At least that's my understanding.
tallulah hill interesting.
This is good to know, I didn't realize that. Thanks for the tip! :-) ~Marci
If you go to the Beacon website they have a PDF that shows what each product is good for, FabriTac supposedly works on more things - leather, metal and photos where 3-in-1 does not according to them. Even then, they seem extremely similar.
Do you have a turtial on how to decorate it.
Is there a way to make a double pocket on a page- for example folding the top corner of the page down and the bottom corner up?
Gillian Jackson try it!! You can do whatever you want, these are just suggestions. I’m going to give it a try. 😀
Where is decorated finished altered book? I can’t find it, please.
I have not finished it!
Will you decorate the outside of this altered book?
I probably will. I haven’t decided what I want to do yet.
I hope you make a video on it.😊
