I have the identical 2021. Going on two years and 31K at the moment. I like the firm ride and handling. Mine came on the crappy P Zero All Seasons. I ditched those in the first month for the Pilot Sport 4S. No regrets. Drove from Dallas to Austin and back in the same day twice to expedite some paperwork. On a very windy day with averaging 80ish mph most of the time, I managed 35mpg. That's with carrying a real tire and wheel as my spare and a small 3 ton floor jack.

I owned this car for a year and put over 25k miles. It’s a really great car. Super comfortable, surprising hwy mileage.. I could get around 40mpgs on long hwy trips, surprisingly fast and agile and all the tech is great. I was torn between the Accord Touring and the Sonata Limited… The Accord was so great to drive, but the interior and tech in the Sonata were way better. This filled that spot perfectly. The things I could never get over were the lack of a LSD, the atrociously dim headlights, and that push button gear selector. Bought the Elantra N and am way happier

@@vjd222 I had a question.... considering I'm in a 2015 mk7 Golf R but it's going on 7 years old and I'm looking to replace it. I was thinking of one of the real N products (Veloster, Elantra), but considering those are basically race cars right out of the box and quite hardcore enthusiast cars, I figured I might go for something a little more toned down, that still has some good low-mid range grunt, and includes Hyundai's 8-speed wet DCT, so I figured the sonata N line might be a perfect middle ground. Especially the night edition in Black.
I know it's nowhere near on the same level of performance as the real N cars, with that fantastic front E-LSD, fun Factor, and insane levels of performance and customization, but I personally love the way the sonata N line looks, compared to the Elantra N, and I don't really have any curvy canyon roads down here in South Florida. The roads here are completely flat and have no curves..... just completely flat and straight. Kind of like a grid with no curvy canyon like roads.
And after driving a Veloster N DCT a few weeks ago, it truly blew me away. However, I could see how after a while, it could start feeling a little too stiff even with the dampers set to comfort, and I wouldn't really have many chances to really open the car up and let it shine like it can. So with that being said, I was wondering how you enjoyed your sonata N line. And I'm not asking you to compare the performance of that car to the Elantra N because we know there's no comparison. But for about 35k, with beautiful exterior, and a fantastic DCT transmission, Plus about 300 HP and a little over 300 lb of torque, would you suggest it when comparing it to others in its class like the Camry TRD or the Accord touring, which I think is more expensive?
As much as I would love of a Veloster N DCT, which is my favorite of all the N cars, I'm a little over 40 now, but I still want a car that's going to give me some good low- mid-range power, with a DCT and good handling, while not just being focused on performance only. So I was just wondering what you thought about your sonata N line.
Sorry for the long post.... Thx and enjoy your new beast

@@Daveyboy_RS3 I spend half of my year in Palm beach so I know how not thrilling the driving down there is. Couldn’t there be at lease ONE road that has a few curves in it?! so boring lol.
I loved my Sonata N Line! Had a MK7 GTI Autobahn before and the SNL was so much better in every way, besides not having a LSD. The EN it isn’t so bad with the dampers set on Normal, but there is no denying the SNL has a much more refined ride that is better for daily driving. Sounds like you’re on the right track with your choice, although the night edition is the laziest “edition” of a car ever put out. They put the previous year’s SEL+ rims in black on it and darkened only some of the badges and left the bright chrome trim bright very odd to me.
I ended up (gladly) trading it in partially because I was so sick of the wheel spin/hop. My final straw was when I tried passing someone who was going about 15mph and I mashed it. The entire time I was trying to pass them my front tires were screeching and traction control was going crazy. I think I was right next to them for a few seconds looking and sounding like a complete idiot while the tire tried to find some traction. It has a way of letting you down like that more often than I appreciated. Car and Driver has been doing long term updates with one. I recommend checking it out on their website. It’s been hit/miss with the staff.
I think a new accord is on the horizon so that’s the only thing that would give me pause for a second. But I would choose the SNL over the current accord and Camry without any hesitation.

I have the 2022 and loved it immediately. Once I had put 20k on the tires it was time for new ones. I replaced the Pirellis that came with it with Bridgestone Potenza Sport tires and Holy Sheep S*** Batman, there's virtually no slip when accelerating at all. What a difference the rubber makes. I get going from generic tires to good tires but going from Pirelli all seasons to Bridgestone summer tires was the magic bullet. Wow this thing totally rocks now from a dig. I have added a strut tower brace, stage 2 front drilled and slotted brake rotors and a Borla exhaust, but none of these made near the impact the tires did. Cheers!

I've also heard that but have surprisingly had the opposite experience. On the 9th year of my crappy 2012 Sonata the engine finally locked up due to the infamous oil leak issue at 125k miles. I didn't have to fight the dealership at all and they honored my warranty and put a brand new engine in the car. The mechanicals of the Sonata N Line are the same as the Kia K5 GT. I'd go for one of those, as you avoid the weird push button shifter and get a traditional one, as well as (I think) better looks. Although this one is beautiful too, so that's a tough comparison to make. Also, it needs an LSD. That much power to the front wheels is a recipe for mile-long burnouts, especially in the rain.

They will call you when it comes in... might take a few months but you'll get exactly what you want, instead of just whatever is available in the lot.
Last year I decided I wanted a black on black 2022 Tucson Hybrid... they didn't ever have any Tucson Hybrids on the lot, ever, much less in the colors I wanted, so I ordered one last July... it eventually showed up 5 months later in December but it magically turned into a 2023 Tucson Hybrid... but it was black on black just like I wanted, and I was (and still am) thrilled... well worth waiting for.
