    Legian beach area is an excellent substitute for canggu beach if you live in that area. Always enjoy surfing at Legian. If you’re looking for an easy wave to catch and you don’t want to paddle out through the break Padang Padang is glorious.

    If you ride scooter to beaches in bali for surf. after you park, how did you keep your keys safe while surfing?

    0:05 Konrad, what visa do you need to stay in Bali for 6 months ?

    • @PhilosophiesofTravel
      @PhilosophiesofTravel  6 років тому

      You can only get 1 month at a time, and if you come in and buy a extension visa when you enter, then you can pay to extend it, but you will still have to leave and come back every 2 months. It can be annoying to do either, but flights to KL are very cheap.

    Konrad what is your thoughts about Luke Stader boards compare to the international brands like JS LOST etc

    • @PhilosophiesofTravel
      @PhilosophiesofTravel  4 роки тому +1

      Hey mate, personally Im not a fan of the Luke Studer boards... they are cheap, but ... they are cheap haha. I just got myself a JS and its the best board I have ever ridden. Surfed 20 times, still no impressions. I surfed the Studer board twice and had heaps of compression marks. I learnt the obvious... you get what you pay for. Good luck! :)

    Im a beginner surfer, lookin for a good wave to train on in march/april on Bali. I can pop up and direct my board in one direction, but my turns are very slow. Can you give me an advice for schools, camps or breaks that have good beginner conditions and are not to crowded?

    • @PhilosophiesofTravel
      @PhilosophiesofTravel  5 років тому +1

      Yeh no worries mate, crowds I couldn't really help you with, most places get a fair few crowds. But I'd say try surfing the breaks around canggu. Good longboard breaks, lots of beginners. A fair few schools around. Never tried any but heaps to choose from. Good luck! ☺

      If u are a beginner and want to progress don't go to Bali because waves are very fast for your level. Sri Lanka is a better choice for u

    Nice video but you are totally wrong regarding trash and dirtiness... its in all Bali(crowd wise, much crowder in the south)only difference is that all bali has vulcanic black sand except the south/bukit and looks nicer of course... All depends on the season you come(rainy or not)... Also Canggu has plenty of barrels and hi performance waves, i guess you just saw Batu Bolong, a begginner easy and crowded wave and not Echo Beach on a good day.... please dont make wrong assumptions... Thanks and enjoy surfing in Bali paradise.. ps: follow UA-cam Surfers of Bali and you will see the real surfing in Bali, from north to south... and you wont see any dirty water and trash in Canggu too... just check it out...

    • @PhilosophiesofTravel
      @PhilosophiesofTravel  5 років тому +1

      I guess we will have to disagree mate, I lived in bali a year and surfed north and south. I stand by my generalisations, sure waves are always changing, but I surfed in trash every day in canggu and none down south so I guess we have different experiences. Of course different seasons moves rubbish to different areas and changes the waves at each spot.

      @joaothewabilife3965 5 років тому +1

      Hopefully more surfers living in Bali for many years and surfing various peaks throughout the seasons will also reply... Maybe you had really bad luck in Canggu and very good luck in the south... No worries, im just saying that its not completely right and hopefully more surfers who surf and live in Bali for many years will comment.... Cheeers @@PhilosophiesofTravel
