haha awesome. i was at a taping in 94 when they tried this sketch and the blood tube didn't work so they had to abort. it was hilarious. dave was talking to the audience and making jokes when they were trying to fix it.
At some point during the process of recording or transferring the taped show to a computer and then to the internet, it must have been done badly and it obviously distorted the audio and blurred the video a bit. Dialogue is difficult to isolate when you’re mixing the sound with a live studio audience because you have to pick up the sections of audience who sounded the best among the several mics they have set up around the studio while completely isolating the actors’ mics and mixing it in so it doesn’t sound like this. It’s just kind of inevitable with a show this old and this badly funded where they used the oldest, smallest most broken down studio in Canada. Old SNL skits still have moments of bizarre audience reactions that were mixed in really badly and that’s before anything was transferred onto different formats.
Ah, the gross-out humor the Kids are known for. Never let it be said they aren't willing to sink lower for a cheap laugh! Seriously, though, with all the stuff like this, the cleaning out of Kevin's ears (wax) with a straw in one episode, and so forth, people get upset and offended about the Cancer Boy sketch in the last episode (and Brain Candy)?

What's weirder than Dave being the man rather than the woman is the fact that Scott isn't playing the waiter.

This sketch really doesn't work well in such low resolution. I could hardly see the blood.

You can barely hear what they say because of the people in the audience "ooh-ing" haha but it's a great sketch anyway like all the rest!! :D
