    For those that are odd like me, make sure you have a note. I received disability services in school. When I took the TEAS back in 2018 they allowed me to be in a room alone. I passed and am now a travel LPN. Prepping for TEAS 7 to enter a BSN program, and I will be doing it online. I will fairly warn whoever is watching me that I am completely abnormal. Oh yeah, psych is my preferred specialty :)

    Hey, I just took my TEAS yesterday and scored proficient enough to get accepted into my school. your video playlist helped refresh me more than any stupid $50 book did. Keep it up these videos are polished and mostly reflective of what I saw on the exam. Only thing I would say as criticism is that the science portion of the TEAS had some overly-specific questions; both my study book and these videos implied only needing surface level knowledge of anatomy, while on the TEAS there were plenty of really specific questions about the lungs and/or chemistry when no periodic table was provided during the test.

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +2

      Hey Mossy Tea! Thanks for letting me know that my videos helped you prepare and pass your TEAS! Congratulations on making a huge impact on that test. 😊💜 I am glad to hear that you found the videos mostly reflective of the exam. Although I aim to provide surface-level knowledge on anatomy based on the feedback from the ATI TEAS website, I am pleased that you were able to provide me some real-time feedback so I can continue to make these videos better for future test takers. Keep up the good work, and best of luck in your nursing school journey! 😊

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +2

      I am sorry to hear you are feeling overwhelmed and nervous, Dayen Alvarado 😊💜 Many of the commercial textbooks you will find in the market go a lot further in-depth on content foundations that are not necessarily things you will need to know for the exam. When new versions of the test come out, they rarely update their content unless there is a major change to the structure. I created my video outlines based on what the ATI TEAS has advised that you need to know for the exam. I removed the fluff and got down to the foundational concepts of the exam. Thousands of participants have reviewed my videos and found them helpful when passing the exam. I would use your best judgment on what you feel will work for you, as not all education is one size fits all. Regardless of what you choose, know that I am rooting for you to be successful on your first try. 😊 You got this!

    Thank you for all of the work you put into these videos! It is very appreciated. I’m probably overthinking this, but are the questions that aren’t scored just mixed in with the questions that are scores?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      You're welcome! I'm glad you find the videos helpful. In regards to the TEAS exam, the questions that are not scored are typically mixed in with the scored questions throughout the exam. The purpose of including these unscored questions is to gather statistical data and evaluate their performance for future exams. However, you won't be able to differentiate between the scored and unscored questions during the exam, so it's best to approach every question with your best effort. Focus on understanding and answering each question to the best of your ability. Remember, the goal is to demonstrate your knowledge and skills in each subject area. Keep up the good work, and best of luck on your TEAS exam!

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Hi! Yes, the content covered in these videos can be beneficial for LPN students as well. While the TEAS exam is often associated with entry into RN programs, many LPN programs also require students to take a similar entrance exam. The subjects and concepts covered in the TEAS, such as English, Math, Science, and Reading, are applicable to both RN and LPN programs. So, you can definitely find value in these videos to help you prepare for your LPN entrance exam. Best of luck with your studies and future nursing career! 😊

    I score low all the time have taken TEAS test twice. I been in medical field long enough if there was an hands on test I would pass with flying colors..How do I get tested for dyslexia? to get more time or help with my anxiety?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Thank you for your comment and for sharing your experience with the ATI TEAS test. I understand that it can be frustrating to struggle with test-taking and performance anxiety.
      If you are concerned about dyslexia or another learning disorder, the first step is to speak with your healthcare provider or a specialist in learning disabilities. They can provide a formal assessment and diagnosis and recommend accommodations or resources that may be available to you.
      In terms of addressing anxiety, there are many strategies that can be helpful, such as mindfulness techniques, breathing exercises, or seeking support from a mental health professional. It's important to prioritize your own well-being and to address any underlying concerns that may be impacting your ability to perform well on the test.
      Remember that it's never too late to seek help or accommodations and that you are not alone in your struggles. There are many resources and support systems available to help you succeed on the TEAS and in your nursing career. Keep working hard and don't give up, and I'm wishing you all the best. Thanks for watching my videos and for reaching out with your concerns.

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Thank you for your question, K Johnson. Your score of 70.7% is above the minimum requirement of 65%, so you are eligible to apply to our nursing program. However, I always recommend that potential students retake the exam if they feel they can achieve a higher score. It is honestly how confident you feel in that score and the other program requirements you must meet. ASN Programs tend to be more competitive than BSN programs. I hope that helps answer your question. 😊💜

    Im not sure if you mentioned but will these videos help with the allied (non nursing) ati teas?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Great question and thank you for your comment! You're correct that there is no difference in the actual content of the ATI TEAS exam between the nursing and allied health versions. Both versions cover the same subject areas and have similar question formats. The main difference lies in the score reports, as they may be tailored to the specific program or field you are applying to. However, the knowledge and skills tested in the exam are the same regardless of whether you are taking the nursing or allied health version. Keep up with your preparation and best of luck on your TEAS exam!

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Great question, Olivia DiGiacomo 😊💜 This is a hard question to answer as many different programs, and degrees require different tests. However, the two main TEAS-like exams that can be administered are the ATI TEAS and the HESI for pre-program admission. I would follow up with the programs you are applying to and confirm which exam they accept. Overall, whether you are applying for the ADN program or BSN program, this would be the same exam if the school you are applying to requires the ATI TEAS. 😊💜
