    Would you say your videos would also be helpful for the ACT?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +1

      Hi there! While my videos are primarily focused on preparing for the ATI TEAS exam, they may still be beneficial for certain topics that are covered in the ACT. However, it's important to note that the ACT and the TEAS are different exams with distinct content areas and question formats. The ACT is a college admissions test that assesses a broader range of subjects, including English, math, reading, and science. If you're specifically looking to prepare for the ACT, I would recommend seeking resources that are specifically tailored to that exam. There are many excellent study guides, practice tests, and online resources available for the ACT that can help you effectively prepare. It's always a good idea to focus your study efforts on the exam you will be taking to ensure the most relevant and targeted preparation. Best of luck with your studies! 😊💜

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      It's great that you found the video informative! Regarding your question about the passing score, it's important to clarify with your specific school or program to get accurate information. The passing score can vary depending on the institution and their requirements. It's best to reach out to your school's admissions or TEAS coordinator for the most accurate and up-to-date information regarding the passing score for your program. Good luck with your TEAS preparation!

    9:17 Is it possible to infer that John is at the Doctor's?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Great question! In the context of a TEAS exam question, it's important to base inferences only on the information given in the passage or scenario. If there is no evidence provided that John would be at the doctor's, it would not be appropriate to infer that he is there. However, it's important to keep an open mind and consider all possible interpretations of the information given. If there is additional context that could suggest John might be at the doctor's, such as previous medical issues or appointments mentioned in the passage, then it may be appropriate to infer that he is there.

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  2 роки тому +2

      That's a great question SaltyWaifus 😊💜 The content is generally the same, except they changed the structure of the test and how many questions are covered for each topic. The science portion, I believe, was the significant change that occurred when the test switched from version 6 to version 7. Human Anatomy and Physiology is much more involved now than it was in versions previously. You will need to have an understanding of what the structures of the systems are as well as their function. You will also need to understand how these systems work together as well. I hope that helps answer your question 😊

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +1

      Thanks for your comment and your interest in the ATI TEAS exam. The exam is indeed broken down into sections, including Reading, Math, Science, and English Language, with subsections within each section. The number of questions and time limit varies for each section.
      In terms of the minimum number of correct answers needed to pass the exam, it's important to note that the passing score for the ATI TEAS exam is determined by the institution or program you are applying to. Each institution or program sets its own minimum score requirements, so it's important to check with them to determine what score you need to achieve in order to pass.
      The exact number of correct answers needed to pass can vary based on the specific exam version and the institution's requirements. However, a common passing score for many nursing programs is around 70-75%. So, for example, if there were 39 questions on the exam section you mentioned, you would need to get approximately 27-29 questions correct to achieve a passing score of 70-75%.
      Thanks for your question and best of luck on your exam!

      Hello There! For the reading section, I've got some good news for you. I'll be releasing new videos on the TEAS next week that will include more strategies and tips specifically aimed at improving reading comprehension and performance. These should provide you with some fresh insights and techniques to tackle the reading section more effectively.
      In the meantime, focus on practicing with a variety of reading materials, paying close attention to main ideas, supporting details, and the author's purpose. Also, try to work on timing to ensure you can comfortably read and comprehend passages within the test's time constraints.
      Keep an eye out for the upcoming videos, and best of luck with your continued preparation. You're doing great, and with a bit more focus on the reading section, you'll be set for even better overall scores!

For example, you may have a paper on Global Warming, and the main idea of the paper is how Global Warming is affecting the polar ice caps. I am mainly struggling to identify the Topic sentence while doing the practice questions. Can you let me know where you have explained well on the " Topic sentence" section?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  6 місяців тому

      Absolutely, understanding how to identify the topic sentence in a paragraph is crucial for comprehending and organizing information effectively. Typically, the topic sentence is often found as the first sentence of the first paragraph, serving as an introduction to the main idea or argument that will be discussed.
      I've covered this topic in one of my videos, where I explain how to spot a topic sentence and distinguish it from supporting details. This should give you a clearer understanding and practical strategies for tackling your practice questions. Here's the link to the video that explains the "Topic Sentence" section: ua-cam.com/video/loEKzUjiVLQ/v-deo.html.

    I am so worried about the reading section n going to test in August. English is my second language

      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      I understand that the reading section can be a source of worry, especially if English is your second language. But don't let that discourage you! With practice and preparation, you can improve your reading skills and perform well on the TEAS exam. Here are a few tips:
      Read regularly: Engage in English reading materials, such as books, articles, and online resources, to enhance your comprehension and vocabulary.
      Practice timed reading: Set a timer and read passages, articles, or short stories within a specific time frame to improve your speed and efficiency.
      Work on vocabulary: Expand your vocabulary by learning new words and their meanings. This will help you understand the passages better.
      Take practice tests: Familiarize yourself with the format and types of questions in the reading section by practicing with sample tests. This will boost your confidence and help you identify areas that need improvement.
      Seek support: Consider working with a tutor, joining study groups, or using online resources that provide guidance specifically for non-native English speakers.
      Remember, everyone's journey is unique, and with determination and practice, you can overcome any challenges you face. Believe in yourself and stay focused on your goal. Good luck with your preparation, and I'm confident that you'll do great on your TEAS exam in August! If you have any more questions or concerns, feel free to ask. 😊💪

    What is the difference between conclusion and logical conclusion ?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      A conclusion is a statement or a judgment that is reached based on evidence, reasoning, or analysis. It is the final part of an argument, discussion, or presentation where you sum up your main points and draw a final thought or decision.
      A logical conclusion, on the other hand, specifically refers to a conclusion that is deduced or inferred using logical reasoning. It's a conclusion that follows logically from the premises or evidence provided.
      In essence, while both terms involve coming to a final point, a logical conclusion is more focused on the process of reasoning and deduction, ensuring that the conclusion is sound and follows from the given information or evidence.
