      Hi, any tips on finishing that reading on time? I FLAGGED/didn't do 11 QUESTIONS AND DIDN'T HAVE TIME TO GO BACK. The readings were super long. Those I ended up flagging and not doing were those I missed, so I got a 72% but needed 73%. IM Planning on retaking this week. I'm really scared and I have test anxiety, so I have to read over and over.

    I took it yesterday. It asked like 3-4 questions about thesis. And a question about where the subheading was on a label. And I had a question on if something was a index, appendix, glossary and I forgot the other choice. I scored higher on reading and math than I did on science and English

      Congratulations on taking the exam! It's great that you were able to recall some of the questions you encountered. It's good to know that there were questions about thesis and labeling, and it's always helpful to have an idea of what types of questions may be asked. Don't worry too much about scoring higher on some sections than others, as long as you passed and achieved the score you needed. Keep up the great work! 😊💜

    Greatly appreciate all the videos. You referenced "the first video" for more information. When I look at all the videos there are only 3 dedicated to the reading portion of the exam. In what order should they be followed to receive maximum benefit?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому

      Thank you for your kind words and I'm glad you've found the videos helpful! Regarding the reading portion of the TEAS exam, the three videos I have dedicated to this topic are meant to provide you with a comprehensive understanding of the reading section. There is no specific order in which you should watch them.
      Feel free to watch them in the order that feels most comfortable to you. Remember, the key is to practice regularly and apply the strategies learned in each video to a variety of reading passages. This will help you develop your skills and maximize your performance on the reading section of the TEAS exam. Best of luck with your preparation! If you have any further questions, don't hesitate to ask.

    I love your videos! For someone with adhd reading and focuing can be difficult. Do you have any reccomendations for the exam on how to overcome this?

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +1

      I'm glad you're finding the videos helpful! Dealing with ADHD can indeed present challenges when it comes to focusing and studying for exams. Here are a few strategies that might help:
      Break It Down: Divide your study sessions into shorter chunks. Focus on one topic or section at a time. This can make studying more manageable and reduce the overwhelm.
      Active Learning: Engage with the material actively. Take notes, create flashcards, or even teach the concepts to someone else. This can help maintain your focus and improve retention.
      Use Visual Aids: Visual aids like diagrams, charts, and graphs can make the content more engaging and easier to understand.
      Study Environment: Find a quiet, organized study environment. Minimize distractions as much as possible.
      Study Techniques: Experiment with different study techniques like the Pomodoro Technique (study for 25 minutes, then take a 5-minute break) to maintain focus.
      Variety: Change up the way you study. Switch between videos, written material, and practice questions to keep things interesting.
      Stay Active: Incorporate movement breaks. Sometimes, pacing around or stretching can help you refocus.
      Medication or Professional Help: If you're on medication for ADHD, ensure you're taking it as prescribed. If you're finding it particularly challenging, consulting a healthcare professional might be beneficial.
      Remember, everyone's learning style is unique. It might take some trial and error to find what works best for you. Don't be discouraged if you face difficulties; persistence and finding strategies that suit your

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +1

      It's great that you have a specific goal in mind for your TEAS score. Setting a target score can help you stay motivated and focused during your preparation. Since you're aiming for an 85, make sure to allocate enough time for comprehensive studying, practice tests, and review. Remember, consistency is key. If you encounter challenging topics, don't hesitate to seek additional resources or help.
      Stay confident, stay positive, and keep up the hard work. You're putting in the effort to reach your goal, and I'm rooting for your success! If you have any questions or need assistance along the way, feel free to reach out. You've got this!

    Hi...just wanted to say thank you for your videos!! I have to prepare myself to take the Teas in February, this will be my second time, I took the first one last year my score wasn't enough to get into the program I want. How long do you suggest me to study before taking the exam? Thank you again!!

      Hi Lucimara, thanks for reaching out and for your kind words. I am glad you find my videos helpful!
      There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question, as everyone's preparation time will vary depending on their individual strengths and weaknesses. However, I would recommend studying for at least 2-4 weeks for each section if you want to have a good chance of passing the test.
      Good luck in your preparations, and please don't hesitate to reach out if you have any further questions.

    Hi! I am not very familiar with "theme types" and English isn't my first language ( I had to google perseverance to figure out what it meant). My question is, are there "common words" or common theme types used in the ATI TEAS that I can familiarize myself with? now I know perseverance and what it kinda means but I don't want to go to the exam and find myself not knowing what half the passage means LOL. Thank you!

    • @NurseCheung
      @NurseCheung  Рік тому +1

      Completely understandable, Ann Hornecker 😊💜 Based on the feedback I have received from test takers who have taken the new version, there were many words and themes that were seen throughout each test. None of the tests had common words, unfortunately. It would be hard to provide any feedback on words you would need to know. What I would recommend is to look at the different cues that you would see in the questions such as are they using direct definitions or implying the definition to help make an educated guess 😊
