The ASICS Magic Speed 2 is a training companion best suited to uptempo runs and races. It has a stiff, full-length carbon-TPU plate for fast transitions and a ride which is on the firm side. It offers a lot more durability than the Metaspeed series at a fraction of the price.Version 2 has been upgraded to a thicker, dual-density midsole featuring FF Blast+. It has more cushioning than version 1 and feels more similar to the flagship Metaspeed racing series but doesn’t have the same energetic ride.

bought it on sale as my first carbon plate shoe.
Had one run in it..too harsh. seems unrefined.
Same I got mines yesterday in the mail First run seemed very stiff I need try it again on a track..I really want to like the shoe but i think i need break it in little more

I find the first version an excellent 400 / 800m repeats shoe - closest thing I have to a racing flat.
Will give this second version a better look now.
I bought the Magic Speed 1 for 5k/10k races. Magic Speed 2 for half marathon and marathon.

I bought these 6 months back I felt these hurt my back while running and hurt my feet quite uncomfortable I would say 6 miles is enough in these
It is because ur feet is overpronate? I have this kind of problem. After 5 km my ankle is hurt.
only had the one run but yes it feels 'cheap' without much refinement
Good review 👍 I didn't love V1 and both of the 1st sky and edge..V2 edge+ I could not use at all and sent it back..pretty much gave up on Acics until they get a better foam..
had the V1 - I think it does very well as a 5-10k racing shoe. its marketed at the wrong crowd.
Would use daily trainers Endorphin Speed 3 and Magic Speed 2 :) then probably buy the race day shoe Metasky Plus

Nike revolution 5 or Nike revolution 6?
I’m looking for a shoe similar to the Zoom Fly 5 but lighter. This might be the shoe. I just bought it.
