@@Fozzee.1970 I have the Speed 2 as well. It is a bit narrow for me.. Works but on the narrow side.. I honestly prefer the Speed 2 to the Speed 3. Speed 3 became a daily trainer.
I to have both shoes but the speed 3 is the shoes tend to pick more I have a wider foot and the shoe just felt overall way more comfortable and I felt like I can pick up speed way more in the speed 3 versus asics
Very interested in this (excellent) video as I have had some Speed 3 for a while and love them as the ultimate all rounder (perhaps a tad too wide) but awaiting delivery of some Magic Speed 2 for my marathon pace training sessions (£90 from Sportshoes!) and now I'm excited to get them! Thanks Nick and Mike!
I have the Endorphin Speed 3 and find once you get much over threshold it doesn't feel fantastic. I like the Takumi Sen 8 for speed work, it's great even down to reps at 1500m pace but it causes a bad blister on my little toe! Would the Magic Speed be a good option, or is it a bit too heavy? I gather the Streakfly isn't seemingly that good?? I'm after something for speed sessions working 1500m up to 10k pace, maybe a few 800m speed efforts occasionally. Thanks!
I wish I could have both of these, and several other shoes. To me the fact that the Speed 3 is wide sounds like a good thing, modern design of most shoes does not allow for the toes to spread naturally hence the 'barefoot' shoe movement. In Canada both of these shoes are still original price, nowhere have they been on sale.
When people say a shoe is wide, the usually arent talking about the toebox. If they are, they are confused. This shoe is wide everywhere, not just the toebox. It literally fits people with 2E and 3E width fit in the normal width. Way too wide for a speed day shoe.
If you wanted to try one in a longer race, as a test to whether you like plated runners, which would you recommend? Would you run a marathon in either of these shoes? Should we consider something like the New Balance Rebel, Hoka Mach 5, Brooks Hyperion as an alternative?
I understood MAGIC SPEED 2 is mostly for tempo run. 10/15km max. Is it all right? What if I want to run a half marathon do you think is it still ok? Thanks who reponds
If you are happy in firmer shoes that tick over I would say yes. If you need some comfort on those longer runs I'd suggest Endorphin Pro 3. Endo Speed 3 are dead for me so wouldn't use these even though are are softer than the Magic Speed 2. I'm finding MS2 is for Tempo and Intervals.
@@Fozzee.1970 thank for your response John. Finally I bought the MS2 and I find them with less comfort and less grip. I feel less secure with them. But definitely I go faster! I use the Nimbus 24 for longer run and I will try the MS2 as well. Want to buy the Nimbus 25 soon and then I would like to know with which between the two shoes I can do my tempo run on a Half Marathon :)
Endorphin Speed 3 in my country is $170 more expensive to Magic speed 2 $100. Is it worth to get Magic Speed 2 since i'm still beginner getting into running? I want to get workout/tempo shoe.
Depends on your feel for the shoe . Whatever checks more boxes , thats what to get. I suggest try both on feet at your local store and walk around in them .
I actually run with Asics nimbus 23 +600mile , I hesitate between Novablast 3 and Saucony speed 3 which have a similar comfort and support as the nimbus 23 ?
Which is the best alternative to the Endorphin Speed 2…I’m nearly through the last pair, time for a change (I think the old ones are no longer available now…boo)
I have the Speed 3, also got Speed 2, both have given me the same ankle issues. interestingly the Pro 3 & Metaspeed Edge+ do not. I am not liking Saucony Speed range for a second year. I need to look elsewhere for a daily miler again. PS Saucony prices are ridiculous, deals over Christmas brought them back in line with other companies, just shows people where not buying them, regardless of the hype.
I have a bit of a wide foot and the Speed 3 fits me great. The only shoe I don't need to do a heel lock.
I have normal foot and find it sloppy and slappy even when locked in. Nothing like first 2.

@@i.p2088 agree Speed 1 was the best one. I don't even like Speed 3 as a daily trainer.
After 1000km+ in 2x Speed 2, I have been enjoying the Puma Deviate Nitro 2. Will try Magic Speed 2 next.
Diviate Nitro Elite & Diviate Nitro 2 are my jam😊

Waiting for mine too. I hope they are good. Love the Glideride 3.

Is magic speed 2 good for race day??
