In the previous video, we saw Jimmy in 1966, so young, baby-faced, before world fame with Led Zeppelin, the band he formed and which became a legend. Here he is at 51, a guitar god, beloved, famous, with a huge baggage of life, success and craziness. No more baby face but still such a handsome man! I love you Jimmy. Thank you for Zeppelin, thank you for the wonderful soundtrack of my life! 🎶 ❤️ 🎶 ( and thank you Mark for posting ) 😊
I was at the Led Zep induction ceremony at Waldorf-Astoria invited by JPJ's manager and sat at the manager's table. Jimmy Page lit up a doobie and passed it around. I never saw a joint burning inside a hotel ballroom. But, no one was gonna tell Jimmy to put it out. Lol. By the time Led Zep took the stage the room was half empty because record company/industry execs didn't even care. So, I walked right up to the edge of the stage. Being a hotel ballroom stage it was just a low stage (waist high). As close to Zep as humanly possible without actually being onstage. Quite a memorable experience.
any video of Zeppelin is gold. It won’t be too long before Jimmy and the boys are no longer with us and the hopes of one final tour will be gone for good. All these wasted years...

Quick question, How did Willie Nelson end up backstage with Page, Plant and Jones? Both totally different worlds of music.🤔 But it's always good to see Page with a smile.🎸
This was the evening when Jeff Buckley met Led Zeppelin. I wonder if any footage exists of that event. Jeff can be seen in the audience during Neil Young’s induction speech.
Can anyone verify that the guy standing in front of Willie Nelson (which is so f***ing cool that he was there) is Richard Cole, LZ's road manager from back in the day? It kind of looks like him.
It's Rex King, their tour manager. He was the tour manager for Zeppelin from 79-80, also tour manager for the Who, Metallica, and for Plant's solo tours and the two Page and Plant tours in the 90s. (he just happens to have a resemblance to Richard Cole).
Love how Jones is like what are we doing? It’s all hazy for me and page is like don’t worry about it. Page knows JPJ can do whatever and figure it out. But yeah the performance kinda sucked other Than levee 😂. Literally the performance sounded like a 5 min conversation backstage
@@rinalore and all the BS too Really, how many times did they have to mention groupies? Surely mentioning this several times they weren’t the only band that had them. Pretty ridiculous
Jimmy Page, very confident about his music but a bit nervous listening to the speech. Robert Plant seems a bit nervous at first then warms to things. The speech amuses him and Jimmy. JPJ not impressed by a lot of flattery and hokum.
Ahmet Ertegun was very close to the band, he was there from the beginning, so he was really joking around. Don't take his speech too seriously, but watch out for flying groupies!
Looks all a bit shambolic and awkward. And Jason Bonham looks ridiculous with that 17th century ruff. Their actual performance was pretty ropey as well. I've always thought the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame was a lot of bollocks - the very antithesis of what r 'n' roll is all about.
'Groupies thrown out the window' LOL i love Jonesy
Did he mean the TV sets?....(LOL!)
He made me laugh so hard 😂
Jimmy explaining what will happen on stage: "I'll just go for it." 🤩 Amen!!

Met Jimmy outside his London house in September 2018. He was obviously a little tired but was very polite and gracious to me. Legend.

I love this! I couldn't love them more! Greatest band in history!
I wish we all had more back stage or recording studio footage to enjoy. Not sure about anything shot in a hotel room though!
Where do you live in the world?
It’s so adorable how proud Jimmy looks
I Love them all. But Jimmy holds a special place in my ❤️ heart.. He started it all. The man of many talents.

GREATEST BAND EVER... NOT EVEN CLOSE ...
Man, I could watch those guys all day long. Even if they were doing laundry or making ham sandwiches; I mean...it's Zeppelin for crying out loud!!
Only fitting that Aerosmith indroduces Led Zeppelin into the hall of fame, where "Boston" was the their first show in America as Led Zeppelin.
They played their first Boston show on Jan. 23, 1969.
Their first show in America was Dec 26th, 1968 in Denver. Close though. 👍😄
