The Muay Thai low kick can literally shut down your opponent's legs. Ever get a "dead leg" in high school? Imagine that x100. It shuts down mobility, takes away power in strikes, and can be used to sweep people onto their backs.

Factorals. Informational educated wordings.
Low kicks for life! Like my coach says, if you wanna cut down the tree, you don't start from the top.
+Nikita Karelins Amen!
fightTIPS Cro Cop says he doesnt like low kicks becose of the foot injurys.Praktice left highkick 10000 times and you dont need low kick
Yea, and a kick like this can't shoot correctly without hands techniques before.
hahahaha wrong
hahahaha Are you even fast enough or even have the reflex to even do all that tho is the question
"5 Low Kicks Muay Thai academies don't want you to know. YOU WON'T BELIEVE NUMBER 3"
GONE WRONG* LEG BROKEN* (Sadness)😯😯😯😯
ramiro zavan (COPS CALLED)👮♀️😳
'No single kicks'. God that cannot be stressed enough.
+MrPerfect6184 this was more andersons problem...
Aero The Archer Absolutely. Had he set the kicks up with punches, he wouldn't have snapped his leg on Weidman's shin.
+MrPerfect6184 Oke Ernesto.
C.L Van H I wish I had half his acumen.
Unless you're Valtelini lol
can you film yourself sparring then analyze the footage? What you were thinking, what you did wrong, what you did good?it would be very informative
+Daniel Poursasan Interesting idea, I like that!
Ye we want to see you more in action and not just teaching.
+Daniel Poursasan I do it
+Daniel Poursasan I'd like to see that too.
great idea
I stopped watching Top 10 Porn Stars turned Movie Actresses just to watch this!

You from nz cuz?
@bangmeister2012 same here
It doesn't take a lot of pressure to hurt the nerves if you aim correctly, so learning the position of the nerves is crucial. Also, prioritising speed over power is usually a better option if you want to hurt the nerves without having your kicks blocked (plus a blocked power kick will hurt you more than it hurts them). And as always, high focus should always be given to turning your hips into the kick for maximum power.
Connor mcgregor saw this video before ufc202
only way he could stop diaz
Alejandro Montoyadelarose nothing wrong with fighting smart, almost make it sound like he was the first fighter to study an opponent before a fight
Alejandro Montoyadelarose and mcgregor still failed at stopping Diaz! Lol a split decision isn't what I call "stopping" anyone! But that was a great fight! Nonetheless!
Still counts, a win is a win
The Sultan Of Strings majority decision dickhead
Always incorporated muy-thai when I used to do MMA, it's such a huge advantage to learn all these different arrays of kicks to use in different situations.
HOLY SHIT!! the last move looked like some straight up ninja shit
Finally a muay thai video!!! Thanks shane, awesome video
Nice Video. Very clear and understandable! What I have been missing is what actually "destroys" the opponents leg, when using a Low Kick. Such as strikes to the space between the leg muscles, or hitting the muscle attachments and the backside of the knee. Nonetheless I really enjoyed this vid!
Best title ever!
+Art Golden Haha! Thank you again -- genius (but honest) clickbait.
+fightTIPS Honest Click baits are good tho
+fightTIPS may you please do Rory MacDonald in the fight like series
I can hear Joe Rogan yelling oblique kick!! Slick moves. Thanks for the vid.
Would love to see this as a weekly thing, I mean you talk about your favorite techniques and how to set them up, many techers and youtubers talk about how to trow something but not how to set it up. And I have some problems landing some techniques like the liver shot, head kick and so on. :) Love the way you talk about fighting and techniques, hope your channel keeps growing!
Damn the improvements in your technique and teaching are hugely noticeable.
well made vid .. i'll hate another day
nice pic
likewise
Bad Jaeaux ha lol now I get it...
Bad Jaeaux lmao why can't every hater think like you. Man there's nothing really to hate on here. Guess I'll hate on another day
This is some REALLY SLICK STUFF! I enjoyed this video.
Great to hear, thank you!
good stuff ;) Thumbs Up!
+fightTIPS do you have any tips on how to get fit to participate in contact sports like martial arts? i need a little guidance in my exercise routine.

WHO GIVES A FUCK ?!
Definitely gonna practice some of those faints! thanks for sharing brah!
very helpfull great work Shane
The music at the start I'm never using headphones in my life
Awesome, the start of this video just gave me a heart attack!
fantastic stuff, going to incorporate a few of these in my training
Very useful tips in this video, thanks for sharing
I would love to train with you.. Too bad I'm so far away.
You're kicking is good, but I noticed at about 0:32 you're hands are positioned wrong. This is crucial to your kicking. You don't want to be side stepped then punched to the ground. When doing the round kick your lead hand (in this case your left) should be cuffed with palm out to cover your face is you turn for the kick. You shouldn't wait till you have already delivered the kick to cover.
Thankyou for sharing and explaining the techniques. I'll use them for my own training.
Awesome tips thanks.
Leg kicks don't work, I saw a leg kick get blocked once in the UFC. (Disclaimer: JOKE)
AY UR FROM GUAM TOO
remeber kids keep both hands by your sides while you kick as shown in this awesome demo!
not the style im learning atleast
Well, kicks are to keep distance so you dont necessarily need to block.
MonkiBoi no, the front kick is but not the round kick.
look at where the guy in this video is standing when he lands his low kicks. do you think the other person would be able to throw a punch from that distance?
Yeah, but in a street fight i can bet the opponent wouldn't think of punching. They would think more about getting away and the hands there are used as balance
MonkiBoi first of all that depends on your opponent, and if youre attacked by a unexperienced person im willing to bet that hes going to wave at you wether you kick him or not, meaning that your tradeoff will be a leg kick vs a punch in the face.
if its an exerienced person youll just get a jab and a broken nose if you try this without holding a guard
Thank you very much please post more and continue to share
Another awesome video from Shane. :)
aldo vs faber
watch it
Yea. Aldo's kicks are fucking deadly
+OrangeNinjaTurtle123 that's why I came here after watching aldo's kicks
Thank you I get bullied at school I will use this tips if I get into a fight with him
beat the carp out of him
+Thomas Smith These take a lot of practice and sparring to do them correctly, if you don't, you'll hurt yourself more then the other guy. I say you put it off untill you perfect it.
Start up martial arts dude
+Thomas Smith hey man careful using them could go wrong and hurt yourself, practice them first, if you get into a fight keep covered up and throw some quick shots until you see a good opening, good luck with it man
+Thomas Smith ...........pepper spray that fuck THEN STAB HIM in the FACE
awesome lesson!
dude, this is your most useful video so far, probably ever!
my shin hurts when i kick my opponents shin
condition your shin. Your shin will get harder so it is way stronger, more painful for your opponent and you will not feel anything anymore.
Bs , work on your timing!
Just gotta kick hard things and condition ur bones I kick rims at work and don't feel a thing
I know this is very late, but if you do football, start to not use your shin guards, and as others have mentioned, kick things. Another thing you could do, which I do is just every time you catch yourself bored throw some punches to your shin for a minute or two; not too hard though
salbroe how the fuck you gonma punch your shin
Brother, you'd get soooo fucked up dropping that hand when you kick against a real opponent... work that shit
seriously ... lol check leg kick and lead left hook, this guy is finished.
Cant wait to try some of these in sparring love that last spin kick and the stutter
GOOD VIDEO SHANE REALLY HELPFUL !!!!
my question: how do you know what your opponent will do, so you can react properly?
+GRaToMiC Get a read on them as fast as you can, see if they are a defensive fighter, or an aggressive one
christian otto
but how can you predict if they will kick, or ounch and what side of their body they will use for it?
The way they twist their body gives you a pretty good guess at how they are going to kick/punch
Thats why I trick them by twisting one side of my body and use the other side to punch/kick
Basically if you're ready for everything from striking to ground and so on, you have better chances to read the next move whatever it is. Finally, the eye-distance stuff and a good footwork both closes possibilities for your opponent and also gives you more time and space to see the next move coming
what do you mean "I'll be upsetting muay thai schools",? what are they so afraid of?
+harold isaacs (giving secrets away for free)
Muay Thai schools would probably laugh... not be upset.. lol this guy...
To be fair, some Muay Thai schools and instruction may depend on money that could otherwise be lost if this guy went into detail. Not saying that there's anything legally wrong with divulging said secrets; but props to this guy for at least trying to be thoughtful and in a small sense promoting the idea of going to a Muay Thai school.
That's my take on it, anyway.
Muay Thai teachers hate him!
Muay thai schools basically teach the basics to anyone, they teach the super technical shit when you earn the gym name
Great tips! I remember my kung fu instructore used to say a block is merely another strike. I see your opponent blocking the kick. They could simultaneously block and go for a push kick!
Great video. This is exactly what I'm looking for.
No martial art is better than any other martial art it is the practitioner
weew shinobi,wise such man a
true story bro
People never realize this. Every style is like its own piece of food alone they can be good but together they can make one hell of a sandwich
Shinobi Jutsu
except some bullshidos.
Some martial arts are more practical then others in real situations, talking from personal experience.
That girl has nice legs! 😱😍
Heylol Suplilololol calm down XD
Thank you! Very informative.
Very well explained. Thank you sir!
Who's the chick
This guy is not very good with low kicks. But i think the point is the idea.
this vid is kinda old
really useful vid. thanks!
Love your videos shane I feel powerful and confident when I fight and come on who else would think of CQC which I always wanted to know so thx and keep up the good work :)
soccer kicks on a downed guy are the ONLY kicks u should use in a STREET fight
or the same kick between legs to the standing guy. Classics.. 😂
I really don't understand why someone would say you shouldn't kick in a fight. Do you at least practice how to defend AGAINST kicks in case you fight someone who DOES use them? Here is nearly 5 minutes worth of kicks successfully being used in street fights: www.fighttips.com/street-fight-breakdown-muay-thai-pt-1/
nah ima use kicks in fights for an advantage, i think its smart to use it
*****
.....DEFEND....u teaching weak guys to throw kicks that should only be used in a RING.....some wimp throws that low kick at a bigger dude, prob get rushed in the face with punches .........u should know REAL fights last less then 10 seconds
+Carlito Brigante did you watch the phoenix jones vs guy street fight? Phoenix wins with leg kicks, basically.
Loving this video, thanks.
I love this video very informative, do you have videos on focus mitt training? I see most good boxers perform this type of mitt training but I can't find a video that explains it well.
Thank you! Your videos helped me
Great techniques...keep up the awesome videos bro 👌🏻🙌🏻👍🏻
Brilliant advice
Best Video. Best fight tipps channel
awesome video.
Thanks so much for this
This is very helpful.
Nice video !
I learned some stuff...
Thx !
well done!Excellent tutorial!
make more of these videos please!!
Good stuff .
Good video shane! most common mistakes with people is throwing the leg kicks without throwing any punching combo first so they don't see it coming.
Thanks a lot Shane, I'm more of a punching type but I still use a lot of kicks but not as much as my punches but these low kicks help a lot. Thanks!
+Premature Rocket Oh one thing I forgot whenever I miss a low kick I always follow through and check and sometimes if they aren't protecting themselves, mainly at the waist and down, then I will follow that check into a teep to the knee.
Awesome. I like that last combo.
nice video 👌🏻💯💯where do you get those shin guards ???
great video :D and good explained!
This video proper helps me :)
i love using my legs and just kicks pretty much all the time haha

@fighttips Shane, your intro music is ridiculously loud. Also, your fight vids are ridiculously good. Keep 'em comin'!
Ok. This is a straight out quality video. Mucho world-class data here.
I miss the old street fight videos :(
3:35 Nailed that during a Sparring Session. My Sparring Partner did not see it coming. High Five for this Combo here
Very nice
Hey Shane are u familiar with the 52 block system? Do u like it? I'm considering taking it up. Thanks and as always gr8 video.
very nice kicks
My favourite was always the jab, fake right cross turned into a low kick. Mixing that up with the basic 1-2 seemed to work. Simple, but worked.
Need to learn More Ty
shane U R My Mentor Keep It Up Hit Hard, Train Hard
