Helpful tip: if you don’t have scraps of leather you can do 1 of 2 things. You can find leather scraps at hobby stores, or 2, cut some skinny pieces of foam and paint them to look like leather. Either way looks just as good and you still have an amazing prop!
Thank you! Omg Ive done it without them for years and and a few months ago I've upgraded and its like I have little cosplay minions that do my cosplay bidding for me!
Excellent job. Great explanations with fine detail. First time I've watched one of these and felt like I could actually do it by the end. Usually I'm like "F**k that!" lol Kratos' Leviathan axe actually seems achievable now. Thanks.
Awesome!! I would just say that dry brushing is when you use a very dry brush and just aim to hit the high points, what your doing is ‘low lighting’ or ‘black washing ‘, not trying to nit pick , you do awesome stuff
Low lighting is a much better term, I’ll use that from now on. My boyfriend said the same thing, but I had trouble with terminology since I’m using very little paint on a dry brush to work it in. Having painted minis, it is very different from doing a wash and doesn’t work quite the same so I didn’t want to use that term
Actually not that long! My cricut and 3D printer saved me a lot of time. I finished it in 2 evenings and the morning of our shoot, so maybe like 12-16 hours total
I am also trying to buid an axe out of foam, how thick is the foam you were using for the blade and where did you get it? I can't find foam that thick anywhere.
This was 10mm foam so my axe is 24mm thick in total (doubled 10mm then 2mm on each side) You can get high quality 10mm from from blick, tnt cosplay supply, any local Eva foam supplier (if you have one) or use super cheap puzzle floor mats (though if you go that route you’ll have to sand off the texture on one side)
Crazy awesome good job. I have one tiny concern. There were a few times that I had to claw my chair and grab my toes because I was almost certain I was going to witness you chop a finger off or possibly gore yourself. Pulling knives towards yourself is just not the business. I don't know if this is just the way you've done it or if it gives you better control, but yikes....anxiety skyrockets!
Pretty sick result, and good video. Watching you rough-cut that axe edge made me nervous! Don't slip cutting towards your hands, please! You need those!
Yeah I know, I don't usually and I definitely realized it afterwards. My bf just went to the ER after slicing his hand building an arcade and was about to jump out of his skin when he saw me to that lol. Will be more cautious next time
Very nice! Looks awesome. I'll go prowl some of your other builds. A new creator to learn from! Yay! Thank you for sharing with us!

Another good way is to get fake leather jackets from a second hand shop and take them apart
Don't EVER stop being smart and beautiful. The rest of us need to take some lessons. Great work SUNDAY !
This is dope, well done, admire the craft!
Gimli is looking with envy in his eye..the sons of Durin would trade for some mithril! 😋
Thanks for sharing your tips ❤
Great job!! I feel old because I wouldn’t even to think to use a cricket or a 3D printer.

Just making you feel more alive, I guess? Knock on wood, but I've never actually cut myself with an xacto and I do realize how it looks
What kind of Cricut is that?? Maker?
Yes the cricut maker and the knife blade on a heavy mat
