Nice bowl. Perfect thickness. I wish I could get my hands on a piece of your cedar. Here in South Africa I often turn similar (more or less) bowls with Wild Olive - arguably the best wood for turning in the world. Kind regards.

Very nice. I haven’t turned cedar yet but I have a blank I’ve been waiting to turn though. Great work.

Not too keen on the music. I like to hear the sound of the tools. Beautiful piece.

Yeah Ive been playing around with music in the videos but I think I’d rather hear the tools also…

Very nice bowl. You were able to work around the crack you found in the beginning. When you used the shavings to rub the bowl, was that to help sand or was that to make it shinier from the oils in the shavings?

It’s for burnishing. It helps make a smoother finish and helps remove some of the sanding dust left behind.

What is the finish you use?

It’s called “Tried & True” original finish. I use it for pretty much everything, it’s good stuff.
