- This is not showing you how to stop the alarm from going off. This explains an issue with security relay noise, exterior lights flashing and how to stop this issue and reset the security system.
We need a video where you can actually see the button, I can't be the only one thinking that the video is a just a little dark
Awesome! I lost my secondary alarm button at work since my key doesn’t work anymore and this saved me. I’m in a 2006 civic and it works just the same.
I'm glad I could help you out.
Bryant Batchar has your starter gave up ? My 06 won’t start it only makes a clicking noise
salvador cruz ...no issues with the starter yet. I did have the altenator go out and ac compressor. The ac compressor you CAN do yourself. It looks near impossible, but CAN BE taken out by releasing the belt with a 19mm open end wrench...then removing the 4 mounting bolts. Before doing this...release the pressure from the ac lines. Any issues with your compressor in the future...get with me and I can explain everything. Always go with a salvage NON-REBUILT or new compressor. Rebuilt compressors are Nortorious for going bad quickly.
ReapersCurse777 thanks have a good day probably I need to change my starter because it just clicks and I have power on my battery
salvador cruz ...yes, probably the starter. Have it tested at a local Auto Zone for free...to ensure it's bad...before buying a new one.
This video would help if I could see the friggin button
Thankyou. Just saved my wife from getting fired
No way!! Really???
Thank you so much! It really works. My problem solved. God bless you for sharing it!
Sulen Chai ...Awesome!! I'm so glad it worked for you. Glad the video was able to help someone.
Issue: Beeping horn(panic sound) goes on while starting the car and key fob battery is down to stop panic sound.
Panic sound goes on when opening the locked car by the passenger sitting inside the car and key fob batter is not working to mute the panic sound
Solution:
For both scenario the best approach is to come out out of the car while panic sound is on and unlock the car door by inserting key into the car door (like old fashion way mechanically unlocking the door). Unlocking the car from inside using lock/unlock button allocated on car door may not stop panic sound.
Note, this works also when unlock button is not working on key fob and panic sound is on.
This happened to me but my key hole is busted in my door
Try using front passenger door side to insert the key,may work.
@@madisonswain845 me too did you find a solution? every time i turn on my car it does the alarm, i had to use a coat hanger in the window to go through the trunk, but i got the same issue as you, the outside door lock doesn’t work, what’d u find outB
You’re an absolute legend for this comment. The video was absolutely useless to me while I’m sitting here in my apartment lot trying not to look like I’ve stolen my own vehicle 😅
Thank you 🙏 I have a Honda Civic Hybrid 2007, and after connecting the battery, alarm would sound, then I used the key to lock and unlock the car door, and it fixed it! Thanks again for the tip!
Here's another trick that worked for me just a few mins ago , I have a 2014 Civic coupe and mine was just honking when I turned the ignition key so the fix was , under your steering wheel there's an alarm light under that there's button press and hold that, insert ignition key and turn on your car. Now the honk at start up should be gone.
Thank u so much
Same for Honda Element! This problem was causing the interior dome light to flash 5 times then 2 times non-stop. It killed the battery over a weekend. Can't believe this isn't in the owners manual. Dealer wanted to charge $90 just to look at the issue! Screw Honda, can't believe this..
This is probably the best video I need right but I can’t see anything
Sorry man, I shouldn't have done the video in the middle of a rain storm
really wish u could shine a light so i could see
Yeah, it sure would be swell if you'd go ahead and let ppl know where it is NOW instead of agreeing with everyone that you should have done it... like explain it , I'll tell ya, It ain't on no 07 fa5
Thank you I just had a problem & with your instructions I was able to do it
So welcome! Glad to help
I have a 2009 Honda Accord hybrid, I really hope this works. It's doing everything you said.
The Salmon People did it work ?
THere's no button
Can u reset alarm system if door lock is broken??
Thanks brotha helped me out with my car I appreciate 🙏🏾
No problem
Thank you Sir for helping people!
No problem. That's what I hope to do
Fyi. That looks to be an aftermarket alarm system not oem. So if you can't find your problem you should refer to oem anti theft system troubleshooting.
3 years ago but im so thankful bro. my car is not starting because of that fucking alarm
Sucks when you don't have the button, key fob or original exterior door handles
What to do when there is o button?
Thanks for the video. From Cyprus
Absolutely! Im doing weekly live streams where I answer car maintenance issues and give tips on longevity. Any questions can be sent to my email if you don't make the live stream q&a...righteousredneck777@yahoo.com I will answer them on my next Live Stream...first thing.
U should of used your flashlight cant see
Could please show the reset button location. I have difficulties locating it.
Thanks

Hi mate. Got similar problem with my CRV mk3 2007. Can drive all good but my key knobs not working red light flashing all the time. When open boot or back door alarm going on all the time . My remont can't switch off. Wired thing is that can drive .
Not all 2007 Honda Civics have the little black reset button... We had to start out with the door locked then unlock, lock, & unlock again then run the car for 10 minutes before it would reset.
Mine won't stay running more than a few seconds and shuts off .I accidentally left the lights on and the battery went dead. Now it won't stay running
Hope this works
Omg this fixed the problem thank you!!!!
AWESOME!! I'm happy I could help you.
Bullshit it did.
Thx, sure would have like to seen the reset button ..to the left under plastic kick panel..or firewall? thx again
Your right. I should have included that.
i have problem .. when i unlock car by remote the center lock dosn't work , exactly driver door don't open .. help me please
honda civic 2006
I cannot see where the button is can you please put the flashlight located on the button
2008 Honda accord recent incident: I figured out that I would I guess locked my door but car thinks I’m not in car. Red security light would start flashing and alarm keep going off!! Start car alarm go off. Turn it off still alarm. Open door alarm. Solution: get out of car put key in door and simply turn left and right. I read that somewhere and tried it. If worked. Called Honda they say faulty wiring due to mice and $800 blah blah.
what would you say for a 2009 honda civic? Mine does the same thing if I try to lock my car while i'm in it. I have to use the key to unlock it but the manual tells me to put it in the ON mode so the key is recognized but i guess it isn't but it's the master key.
I would try the same steps. Try pressing and holdong down your factory alarm reset button. See if this helps
Yes! Just the freaking awesome video I needed!
Awesome!!! Glad to help
Thanks it helped me
sweetie The Chick ...Awesome!!! So glad it helped you out.
DUDE, you just turned a 30 sec how-to video into a 4+ min video LOL
Lol...gotta be thorough!! Especially with today's society. Many can't handle the grocery store self checkout.
Can’t See It
Does the si model have that same button by any chance. I can't find that button in my car
I’m having the same problem with my 2006 si did you figure out how to fix it?
@@1upjoah nah what I ended up doing was taking out the horn fuse.
Okay my horn isn’t going off but I can’t touch anything on the screen it’s making me put in a 4 digit code that I don’t know because the previous owner never told me
Where the reset button?
Thank you very much!
THANKYOU SOO MUCH!!!!
Very welcome
Where’s the button?!
That vehicle had a aftermarket alarm. After all these years..I now realize this
Thank you! It helped me !
Good deal!!! Thank you so much for watching.
My 2006 honda civic hybrid dont have the botton!!! You know anyother ways for 06 honda civic hybrid??
my civic 8 sport 2007 does not start anymore .I see parameter problem on dashboard .where is this reset button .I don't see clear on your video
It's a button for the security system. Try the red button, left of the steering wheel or look for a aftermarket alarm button..normally black. Might be to the left also...somewhere
I have a standard key for my honda civic, I couldn't unlock it to get in, do I have somebody help me open the car, but the alarm went off and the only way to turn the alarm off is to use the key on the door, but the key is not working, how can I stop the alarm and been able to continue driving the car?
So now my car is sitting on my driveway with the battery unplugged
@@anabailey2002 ...look down by your left foot area...along the kick panel. Try holding in the "alarm reset" button for around 10 seconds to reset the factory alarm. Will be a black button sticking out horizontal
The hondas are screwy with their alarm systems. Ive seen them act pretty crazy
I just had the same issue using my standard key I had to use the original key fob and unlock the doors by pressing the buttons on the fob. The standard key would turn in the door lock itself and the alarm would keep going off if I opened a door, turned the car on, or anything even unhooking and booking the battery back up it would go off... if you don’t have original key fob then you will have to order door lock cylinder and keys offline and change them out cheaper route or go to Honda and let them do it.
I dont see a reset button on my 2006 civic lx on that hood latch
Dheks D Reset button I speak of is a alarm reset button...its near the hood release. A push in style button.
ReapersCurse777 how come i dont have that reset button? I have a factory alarm
Dheks D your not the only one, same problem. Did you solve the problem?
Dheks D I have the same problem no reset button on my Civic 06 please help
I also have the 2006. I can’t find the button. My lights and horn keep going off randomly.
Yes I did
dude thats for aftermarket alarm
They should hang who ever put up this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you.
Your welcome!
Look on the panel...to the left of the gas pedal
Where would it be on a 2007 Honda Accord
Thanks 👍
Javier Hernandez ...your welcome!
How’d You Do It ?!
My 08 honda civic exl 8th gen does not have this button and my alarm light is on the dash with the speedometer. I need help! My car was stolen and when returned, only had the key pad no key . I have to insert the key into the outside door lock and turn it to disarm the alarm . Without the key that i cant afford at the moment . I cant disarm the alarm and at night when i stop the car i have to disconnect the battery so the lights wont flash and cause a scene . And as stated i do not have the button that you have shown.... Can i take apart the door panel and maybe manually turn the blocking mechanism?
For now..pull the fuse to the horn
Ty man ty had a scare
Very welcome
Hello , i have es 2007 , I changed the battery to a new one , there is a door lock but no 3 flashes at usually when it closes, and the windows don’t come up.. what should i do?
Kutayba Music ...ok did the windows roll up fine BEFORE you changed the battery?
Kutayba Music ...first make sure the child safety lock button is not pressed down. This enables the windows. Hold drivers side window button for 2 seconds...then the right door switch.
Kutayba Music ...ua-cam.com/video/scWc_9ALo9Y/v-deo.html
Kutayba Music ...sent a video that might help you!
Yes .. before I swapped the battery everything was clearly working as well
Where the heck is the reset button
Fr
Where is the security reset button if it’s not next to the hood latch
Should be on that left driver's side panel.Normally below the steering wheel. Somewhere in that area. Just about a inch lond, long, push in style putton
Does this work if I have a green key light security detector on the dash ?
@@thesergeant5396 this was a 20210 model I did this on. I realized years later that it was a aftermarket alarm and the black button was a reset button. If yours has a aftermarket alarm by chance..look for a reset button. If it's a factory alarm you can look for a push in button as well. It might be red in color
Thank you 😊
But your red light didn't turn off. It's still in valet parking.
Can't find that button
I have 2006 my security system dont work can someone help me please
Yeah same here my fob doesn't unlock or locks my car anymore and alarm disappeared with it.

Dang!! Contact Honda. Many have it and many don't. It's dumb
@@righteousredneck777 damn that sucks, i’ll do that. thanks for replying so fast on a 3 year old video
@@evanpickett856 did you find out how to do it I have a coupe also and can’t find it anywhere
I am having the same issue with my Civic 2007 but I could not see the button you pressed and the location
Looking back..that might have been a aftermarket alarm, but all have a reset button. Just look around the drivers side
Thank you , thank you, thank you !!!
So glad I could help you!
I don't see any button. I have a 2007 Honda civic si.
Yours is around the side of the hood latch
My honda civic 2010, the security system indicador it's doesn't work so everytime it's around 15 km/h the doors lock sounds even the doors are closed, Help me please
The doors should lock once you get in. This is normal.
Pablo Emilio 0095 Check in your Owner’s Manual (or you could even find the instructions online, if you don’t have your book). It’s quite simple to do, yourself, following a step-by-step guide. Let’s see: there’s ‘auto-lock’ @ 9 mph (or say, 15 km/h), a ‘lock/unlock’ feature when the shift lever is moved into/out of park (P) and also a mode that disables this feature, altogether.
Why did you not get a flashlight out for this video?
Sorry about that. Was pouring rain
Would this work on a 2006 civic
I can’t find the button
Where is the Boston, ohh men this videos good bug most be more clear, with the location of the botton
That may have been a aftermarket alarm and not factory. Look for a reset button. They would have installed it on the drivers side. Normally black or red
Does it work for honda 2005 acord
I don’t see a black button
I have a 2017 and mine has done this. But I don’t have a button by the kick panel. Any ideas?
Should have one somewhere. May very well be the factory alarm causing your issue. Should be a reset button
Chaz, found anything?? I have a 2018 and there’s no button.
Madeline Brown no. I took it to the dealer and the reset it. But came on the day after and currently still on. Lol
Where is it on a Homda pilot
Would you be able to tell me where can I locate the reset button in Honda civics 2010 EX ?
Should be down low...under the dash...down low
I own a 2010 EXL the manual says if the alarm goes off unlock the door using the remote and when you lock the car using the remote it should activate the alarm.
I get the Green Key of Death. I'm about to have this car hauled to the junkyard.
I love u
Were you able to figure it out man?
I cant find this button anywhere
Looking back...that 2asp4obably a AFTERMARKET security system, but if you don't see a button anywhere..it may be another issue
Do You Know How To Fix The Green Key Light ?!
That is probably a fuse underneath the hood. The car is thinking that it is being stolen that is why the green light continues to flash. I'm thinking it will be a 20 amp fuse... Probably yellow. You should have three large black bus fuses... Right below the third one in line should be a 20 amp fuse check that one! If that is not it just check your fuses 1byone placing them all back after checking them. Almost certain this is going to be a fuse issue
Fuse panel will say AGS...a 15 amp fuse. Check it out...see if its blown. Let's start easy first.
Check fuse under hood. 15 amp fuse in location asgs
Also, could be a key issue. If you have a spare key...try it. Also, put the key in...turn forward to first position...then second. Green light will flash a couple times then might turn off.
Thank You I Will Try That !
I might be the only one but I don’t see it
Can’t find the button 😩
Hala I have Honda Civic I have to have my protection system if you know how to repair the holidays please address my bull abs
I look for the rest button, this is a 2010 Honda Civic, I don’t see the bottom, I had somebody come to fix it, if they can
I own a 2010 EXL the manual says if the alarm goes off unlock the door using the remote and when you lock the car using the remote it should activate the alarm.
There is no button.
Help !!!!
Look around where your left foot would be. To the left of your left ankle. The black alarm reset button should be there on the kick panel.
Could You Please Send Me A Video . I’m Really Having Trouble ! :/
I waisted time watching this can't even see the button thanks try using a flashlight next time
I verbally gave it's location. I wasn't gonna draw a picture in crayon.
Lawda ka baal
After market alarm 😅
Yep! Finally f8gthat out after a while. Lol
