Just for clarification - once someone has the brake code, can that same code be used every time to bypass the immobilizer?
It is not like a "one time use" code or anything is it?
It sounds like just acquiring the code is the hardest thing of all.
yes that code can be used every time but every single key turns off it will have to be redone....i honestly do not know if theres a limit to how many times it can be used but i know in my case i used it about 40 to do video and test and get to shop so i dont believe theres a limit but i just would not use that as my fix forever.

Mine sometimes it start normally and then after a few days it would be back to that green key, so i sure could take it to a destination but i wanna fix it for real, already bring two mecanics and none knew the problem, also i brought an electrician to check it with a scanner and still couldnt find any issue, also the keys chip working fine said one locksmith with a scanner, so you may know whata the issue? Pretty please! Already spend alot
I would have the locksmith reprogram your immobilizer and cut you a new key, if its intermittent the computer will rad no issue when its starting. Sadly its trial and error but if you already had the locksmith there i would just rekey and reprogram the immobilizer. Also checking fuses and relays but if you had an electrician do that next step i could think of would be that. Keep us updated if possible in case you find a diferent solution.
Im not clear on something. Why didn't you just have the locksmith come to your house to make the new key? Why did you have to hassle with Honda dealers to get this brake code?
Hi....Yes that is an option if you can get a mobile locksmith....Only reason i did not do that is due to cost. You can also just get towed or? but I made video for most people on a tight budget. A mobile locksmith would have upped th eprice 200 and towing it cost about 120. The brake code method can be used in an emergency or can give you a week or two to get the funds to fix problem if you just need to get car started to get to work or?
Just bought and installed a replacement Ignition switch for my 2008 Honda fit after it got broke into. Got green key flashing, starts for a few seconds then turns off. What would that be?
that is exactly what was happening to my honda, you will have to reset the immobilizer and reprogram the key to the ignition.
A good locksmith should be able to do pretty quick.
@JackofAllCarbinc shouldn't the key already be programed to that ignition, the switch came with that key.
@@dragonballnz Not from what i was told....since hondas have aan advanced anti theft immobilizer, the key and system needs to be programmed with the immobilizer....not 100 percent sure but pretty sure a locksmith can answer that and fix this issue...please let us know but pretty sure the new switch still has to get reprogrammed. That is what the green flashing key is telling you.

Is the brake code the same as the radio code both 5 numbers?
not the same this code comes from dealer only.

I wet the inside of my car with the garden hose,on jet mode. It turned back on fine after. The next day i have the green key appearing and it starts then shuts off. I will try to use my spare key and see if it does anything. Then go to the certified locksmith. Thank you for this video.❤🎉 blessings
spare might not work ...i tried mine and it didnt since the immobilizer lost pairing with the code. so neither keys worked.

I have the same with my Honda but my battery is also drained and its brand new. Do you thinks these 2 problems are related or the drained battery is coming from somewhere else
if you have the green light and its a new battery ...issue is the immobilizer, First get that resolved then you can take your battery to get recharged, I had same issue since the car kept cranking and not powering on it drained my battery since car never turned on when the issue started and didnt allow the alternator to recharge battery. It can be a possibility that the alternator also went out but if it was me I would ......jump the car or get recharged then fix immobilizer if green light goes off but battery still dies then its either a bad battery or alternator.

I have exact same issue after changing my battery. I have the master key which also didn't work. Shouldn't the master key by pass the immobilizer?? This is such a pain in the ass
no master key wont work in most cases.....From what my mechanic explained was that the immobilizer had to get reset as well and basically wiped and restarted because something caused it to not read or send signal. Let us know how it turns out and if you find a better way to fix.

Wish that was my problem but i have two keys and neither of them work.
My neighbor reprogrammed one of my keys but the green key light has not gone away.
Also having trouble getting a code from honda.
I wonder if anyone has fixed their issue by replacing the MICU.
i believe he has to reset the immobilizer first then reprogram key...I had problems with honda too.... i got the run around telling me i had to contact honda corporate...blah blah . I went thru 3 different dealers and finally 1 gave me the code. It was the dealer I had previously serviced car and they had my vehicle on record showing it was under my name......Its not easy but its doable.....I had to convince them i could not get my car towed and needed code so i can take to them to repair. They were very hesitant but finally one manager gave it to me. Please keep us posted.

si eso es el problema...se prende por un segundo i papronto se apaga. Nomas es reprogramar la llave.

@@brittanyjeffrandolph7497 lol I kinda thought you were talking about that or was someone trolling but the answer to that is absolutely not. The brake code is not really known to 99 percent of people. Believe it or not some Honda techs had no idea what i was talking about when i called the dealer but the older guys /managers know exactly what that is. Every honda and acura had these codes which allows honda to bypass the immobilizer for reasons like failure or back then if car payments were not made the dealer can repo the car without the need of a key. Of course that code will not be given to just anyone, you MUST prove that you are the legal owner of vehicle and have no debt on car. Radio code is completely diferent that only will unlock the access to your radio.

se tiene que reprogramar la llave para que conecte con el immobilizador. Alguien que ace copias tiene que aser reet all immobilizador i luego hacer copia de la llave para que conecte .
