    Thank you for this wonderful recording!! It really displays Elly Ney at her peak and proofs that she was defenitely one of the greatest interpreters of the Beethoven piano works. I think the only one who is at the same height of art in this department is Edwin Fischer who also kind of evoked the deeper spirit behind the Beethoven sonatas so tenderly. I do admire both of them for their Beethoven interpretations because they still play a kind of romantic style that is already lost today.

      Sviatoslav Richter can doing that in live recording. But specialist for Beethoven, Arthur Schnabel wasn't good in comparation with Ney and S. Richter;

    Arthur Schnabel was technically inferior in comparation with Elly Ney,op111-part1. It was similar age of recording systems.

      There is also a Kempff recording from 1936
