I really like the single-channel echo on this; it makes the track feel more spacious without compromising the intricacy of it! I may have to borrow that for one of my own projects...
There's something about this track that always draws me back to it. Manages to be just as memorable as it's MegaDrive counterpart, if not creeping ahead just by being funkier!
Just like the 16-Bit Mega Drive counterpart, the actual stage keeps pissing into the player's eyes, but at least the only saving grace is, that unlike on Mega Drive, the BGM absolutely slaps.
Another amazing deconstruction. I don't know if you take requests but personally, I'd love to hear a similar video deconstructing Gain Ground - Primitive Age from Master System
it isnt possible. its a cd track instead of a pcm track. theres no channels to deconstruct unless you count the stereo, but thats not what you want. most it can do is the past versions
Genesis: Labyrinth Zone
Master System: The *cooler* Labyrinth Zone

This is what I call 8-bit jazz.
3:50 EVERYBODY NOW
4:18 Stereo Version
The stereo version is the same
I feel like this is what inspired the melody for Hydrocity act 1.
One of my favourites from Sonic 1 8-bit. It's genuinely amazing what can be done with only 4 channels to work with. Can't wait to hear Scrap Brain.
feels like anything can be done with 4 channels and no social media
Unlike everyone here right now, I like both versions equally and are both good in their own rights.
Same here!
how dare you
genesis version all the way💯
Both versions fit the stage
But this one doesn't get boring fast
Le big brained centrist strikes again

this labyrinth zone is better (shorter acts, an actual boss fight, etc.).
I tend to think that you have to work hard to compose a beautiful music with only 3+1 channels, and you can definitely hear it here !
I love how the psgs get their own songs cause usually channels are the main parts
Didn't know that just four channels can turn into something like this! Masterpiece!!
Always preferred this track to the Mega Drive version.
The Labyrinth zone I wanted in Sonic The Hedgehog on the SEGA genesis/Mega Drive
@404 TV why wouldn't I?
@404 TV I mean it's pretty fire.
Labyrinth Zone. Everyone's favorite!
No I'm talking about this one, not that one.
Oh yeah the Master System became the Game Boy again near the end.
Correction: Game Gear
But nice catch!
@@rayredondo8160 Actually, it would be both the Game Gear and the Master System, since they are both 8-bit and use the same gameplay and music.
@@tboneanimatetwoaccount2094 I thought that the Game Gear had stereo, oops.
If you asked someone what their favourite zone in sonic 1 is, nine times out of nine, they would say labyrinth zone.
@@tboneanimatetwoaccount2094 Yup though Game Gear sonic had the better sonic model (well in my opinion anyway).
AAAAAA i fucking love the game gear/master system sonic's soundtrack!!!
ah yes
the *superior* labyrinth (imo)
may be extremely sluggish, but you gotta jam out to this. It's law.
Amazing video as always 👍
This song brings back a point I had about if these songs would sound better if they had that second drum channel that the NES had.
I forgot how good this song was, shame on me
PSG3 is back yay
I love this track.
PSG 2 reminds me of Rusty Ruin Zone from Sonic 3D Blast.
2:52 same at my 10 minute version on tape cassette
I see you are well beyond Streets of Rage now, but if you were to ever revisit SoR2, I would love to hear Never Return Alive deconstructed!
First deconstructed video i saw
Another amazing deconstruction.
I don't know if you take requests but personally, I'd love to hear a similar video deconstructing Gain Ground - Primitive Age from Master System
think you’ll ever do the unused marble zone song found in this game’s data?
Yay. Now I can fail at making the ultimate labyrinth remix.
Impecable!
I actually wasn't too fond of this track. But after translating it LoFi, I gained an appreciation for this Song. 😅
Yessss was looking forward to this one
I hope you do Battletoads NES tracks in the future
first... blue shell... last
Was waiting for this one
My favorite song in the game.
YES YES YES!!!!
I LOVE THISSSS

Can you do a deconstruction on Boss Bonanza, from Diddy's Kong Quest please?
So move it or lose it, WITHOUT Drowning Music! 💀
i can't wait for the sonic 2 gg boss!!
Can you do more mario music?
May I use the PSG 0
How did u make this
It’s kinda criminal that we haven’t got stardust speedway bad future deconstructed yet

@@mineland8220 that’s sad
@supernova026 indeed. It is called cd sonic for a reason. It has cd quality audio
1:26
Sounds like something out of scooby doo
wait this is 4 channels
Yes, that's all the Master System has.
You should do sonic mania
sonic mania has a single audio file for songs, not split-up channels
