Dude, thank you very much. After a lot of errors, finding out why my rc2 wont connect in betaflight, the "set sbus_baud_fast = off" was the turnaround! You got a new subscriber!
Glad to hear that it helped, welcome to the channel! Ya, that baud fast gets a lot of people as you can only see it in the Betaflight CLI and of course everyone turns it on in the goggles when they see baud fast not realizing you need to manually turn it on in the CLI ;)
@@Kakboon88 Thank you for the advice. It was off and I corrected it, but mine is still not connecting properly. I can bind and see the camera through the goggles. I can also bind the controller 2 but I can't get it to start the drone.
Great. I was trying to make my RC2 connect to my Caddx Polar, but I couldn't because of the FAST SBUS. Great job. You now have another subscriber! Thanks!
Thank you so much for this, i've been pulling my hair out trying to get this dam thing working. I've watched other tutorials but none of them show the cli command. (subscribed)
Thanks for the video. It’s exactly what I was looking for. WRT Buttons mode settings, and PIDS and Rates, do you set these in BetaFlight or in the Goggles 2?

@@Mangorille I’ve been looking everywhere. What is the difference between the 2 settings and can u use the same one on the vista and O3? Thank you soooo much! Lastly if u use Tbs or elrs does it even matter what this is set to in betaflight?
@@Jsvids85 The sbus_baud_fast is the DJI HDL protocol which is "supposed" to be a lower latency link with a 7mn latency. You can use both the regular sbus or sbus_baud_fast with the vista and O3. TBS or ELRS will not use this as they use the crossfire communication protocol.
Hi thanks for making this video as I thought that the Runcam Link couldn’t bind properly with the RC2 and that I needed a separate RX on my GEPRC Crown. I was after the clean look which was why I bought the Crown eons ago and tried to digitalise it. Tried umpteen times till I came across the SBUS BOTS bIt!!!!
Thank you for posting this! I have tried all of your trouble shooting tips but it’s still not working for me. The drone and beta flight respond to the buttons and switches but neither joystick works. The controller works perfectly in the simulator. Any other ideas?
Never seen that before. If the buttons respond then it sounds like some sort of mapping issue. Double check your channel map is connect on the receiver tab.

I am looking at the Flywoo Venom H20 2" Mini Hexacopter Drone - DJI HD w/ Naked Vista + Polar Nano (F4). Would this work for me, and if it does would I be able to switch back and forth like you did in the video between systems and still fly the dji fpv no problem? I am new so maybe this is a dumb question but I really don't want to buy the $300 mode 2 when I have the really nice small dji fpv controller.
Not sure I completely understand the question. Are you asking if you can use your Goggles 2 (not Goggles V2) on both the Vista and the O3 system (switching between them)? If so, yes, but each time you switch you need to rebind the air unit (bug in the current firmware). The remote controller 2 (gray remote) will work with the O3 air unit and the Vista. For the Vista, you need to be on the backwards compatibility firmware (Dec 8th), which only works with the Goggles 2.
So You have to have the newer Googles 2 for the Gray PS looking remote your using to link to the vista system? I have the DJI FPV goggles and remove and can get video from the vista system but can't get my remote to bind up to it.
Sounds like you have the Goggles V1? If you want to continue using your Vista and want to add the Gray remote, you'd need the Goggles 2 or Goggles Integra.
@@epoweredrc Got it. You'd need the o3 air unit to use the gray remote with your Goggles V2. DJI gave us some backwards compatibility but not fully. ua-cam.com/video/P7GkbQ2UKHU/v-deo.html
There is a DJI Standard preset that will help if this doesnt. I have followed a couple of these. And everything looked right but until I ran that, it didnt work (Dji standard or dji sbus fast) both run some cli commands that link things up. I remember finding a video the first time I did this that had two commands. This preset must run those.
You can use the preset, this will work without the preset if you check the correct settings outlined in the video. Remember that you need to type save after you make CLI changes.
This is such a great and clear video except mine will not bind under any circumstances no matter how many times I do exactly as the video shows. Im Already bound to my Caddx vista with my goggles 2 so I know my firmwares are correct on those 2. Im on 2.07 the latest radio firmware but it just won’t bind. Not sure how I can screw up holding down the power button until the lights scroll to put the radio in bind mode and pressing the bind button on the vista but apparently I am. Maybe i need to downgrade to the 2.04 you used…
I don't have this remote anymore so can't confirm with the latest firmware but you do want to try to get the later firmware working as DJI made updates to how this remote works and removed some of the items that actually made me give it up.
Just bought a nazgul with vista, updated vista, bound everything but the range is dreadful, video feed is dropping out behind a low bush 80yds away. Now i have confused myself, do I use the old naco.txt file on the sd card in the goggles2 or do I use the ham file on the goggles 2. More over do I need to plug in the vista and drop the file directly onto the vista unit? Help appreciated.
Thank you for this great video, the previous remote 1 ran out of signal before de Goggles V2. Using the new Update with the Remote 2, allows you to at least match the Goggles 2 signal? Thank you
Welcome. I never had the remote 1 run out of signal before the video. It was always video long before the remote. The remote 2 works a bit differently and it will drop as soon as you lose video. Stay tuned for a video...
@@Mangorille thank you so much! I chose Crossfire from the start because I saw tons of comments of people claiming that the Remote 1 loses signal way before the Goggles. @@hknight007 I wonder if that is because the regions weren't set correctly. For example, my TBS Tango 2 came set with 868mhz (wrong for my region and conflicts with the cell system here). I changed it to USA/CAN which is 915mhz and now it shouldn't conflict.
@@Mangorille Thank you for your reply and help, I use 915mhz and 1W for power. I think I'll switch Crossfire (In 1 Quad) to the old DJI FPV System (Goggle V2 / Remote 1) and see how it performs, again very grateful for your help 👍
Hello, i have the caddx vista, the goggles V1 and the controller 2, goggles and caddx vista runs on the same firmware, but for the controller 2 there is no firmware available on DJI assistant that matches with caddx and goggles v1, what should i do?
That combination of hardware is not compatible. If you want to use the controller 2 you need either the goggles v2 or newer with the o3 or the goggles 2/integra with the vista.

I have the googles v 2 and they have been working fine with diatone cinem that they came with. But the drone was really noisy that is why I removed it to a new flight controller 30.5*30.5mm HAKRC F722 DJI Stack 45A F7 3-6S Flight Controller and in that the connection from dji goes to the uart 6 on flight controller. I can see that the googles bind to the caddx viasta, but I do not have any image....:( do you have any idea maybe that can help me? Thank you
If you have no image, this shouldn’t be caused by the flight controller as the air unit is self contained when it comes to image transmission. I’d check to make sure that the wiring looks okay, the air unit is getting power within specs, and then look closely at the camera cable. If everything looks okay, disconnect all vista wires from your flight controller except for the red and black (power) and see if the issue goes away. All else fails, do a firmware refresh on both the vista and goggles.
Having trouble switching my beta flight to s bus baudfast. I can only get it to work in standard. What is the difference between standard and S bus baudfast? Thanks in advance.
They say that the baudfast is lower latency, I want to say 7ms if memory serves. You need to use the CLI command to turn it on in betaflight (make sure you send a save command afterwards) and then turn it on in the goggles menu.
I don't have my V2 goggles anymore but that doesn't sound right. This remote never worked with the V2 and FPV Air Unit anyway. With the V2, you'd need the O3 air unit for this remote to work.
@@Mangorille Yes, now I know what happened. The last driver's update kill compatibility Caddx with DJI v2 Goggles. But I've got Integra, and with it (and goggles 2) Caddx is working fine. Your video helped me with Betaflight settings a lot, thanks!

Hi friend, I have CADDX VISTA RunCam in my cinelog25 and I use DJI RC 2 and GOOGGLE INTEGRA. Is the same button that binds the GOGGLE the one that binds the radio? Sorry for the question, I'm Brazilian and I have difficulties in "translating" audio.
have an issue with it but it's my guess at this point that I maybe fried the sbus port because I plugged it in before I realized the pinout was backwards. upon resoldering everything the VTX works perfectly but no response on the controller :/
Hmm, what did you connect the air unit SBUS wire to? If it was a 5v pad then it is possible that you fried the diode or another component in the air unit.
@@Mangorille The HD port on the FC was inverted to what the standard layout is set to so more than likely yeah I fried the SBUS. I contacted CADDX and they told them to either send it in or remove that diode for the SBUS to "fix" the situation. I may just install an ELRS transmitter to it and use that instead though. purchased another caddx vista and wired it properly the first time and bam everything works perfectly.
Any idea how DJI Baud Fast compares to ELRS 250hz in terms of latency and jitter? I know these’s been some testing done and there were issues at first but has this latest firmware ironed it out?
Thanks man, i do all the things on the video but still dont have any response from the sticks. I use to fly a Protek35HD with the vista, and know change it for the o3 unit.
@@TinChozZz Hello there! Trying to configure a Protek25 HD and same results. I am able to bind the controller, but can't get any response from my sticks. Any other tips would be awesome
@@AnthonyDupre I ended up cutting all the wires and welding them to the FC free Receiver pads, and get stick response on betaflight, but on my first flight I noticed I didn't have Drone Voltage on the goggles soo i take another look to the FC and notice the R1 on the Diagram was the R3 on the FC. I changed the R and T on betaflight and got the Voltage. I recommend you to watch closely the R on the FC with the magnifying glass before cutting any cables.
I can't get this to work, followed all the steps in your video. Controller binds fine, but I get no inputs in betaflight (also tried settings the SBUS Baud Fast setting to off in the goggles). I get an image on my googles Integra, so the connection from Vista to FC seems to be fine. "Configuartion/MSP" is ON under UART1 and "VTX (MSP + DisplayPort)" is selected under "Peripherals". So if I enable "Serial RX" under UART1 it should technically work, right? Drone is a GEPRC Cinelog 35 v1 (which I bought used) with an F722 AIO. There is also a TBS Crossfire RX soldered onto the FC under UART2, could that be an issue? The vista is connected through the 6-pin connector, that goes into the side of the FC. Do I have to solder something from the Vista to the FC to make this work?
You need to see which UART the SBUS (yellow wire) connection from the Vista 6-pin goes to. It will NOT be the same as where you have MSP turned on. You need two different UARTs for the Vista to use the controller 2, one is for the vista connection so it can communicate things like voltage, osd, etc. and one is for the receiver. Looking at the manual of your flight controller, you'd want Serial RX turned on for UART2, but if you see a Crossfire RX already on UART2 then this will not work. You need to move the Crossfire RX to another UART. geprc.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/10/F722-45A-AIO-USER-MANUAL.pdf
@@DanielAx Perfect. You can run both (I've done it before) but you need to make sure they are on different UARTs and then just flip the Serial RX to the correct UART depending on which receiver you want to use.
Hello, I have the same problem, I set everything up, but when I turn on the drone a little, I raise the gas, it immediately turns over, and no matter what I did, I can’t understand why
Flipping over right when it starts to get airborne is most likely not a remote control problem, but rather a motor or flight controller issue. Things to check: 1. In Betaflight, does the little quad graphic move in the correct direction when you move the quad? For example, if you tilt the quad right does the quad graphic also tilt right? 2. Are you sure all the motors are spinning in the correct direction? 3. Are you sure all the props are on correctly?
hey i am having Dji v2 and RC2 and just baught runcam wasp but RC2 won't bind . when they are going to fix it or should I buy a new controller? thanks ......
That combination is not compatible and I don't expect DJI to ever fix that. The Goggles v2 is the prior generation so DJI did the minimum of allowing you to use those goggles with the O3. If you want to use the RC2 you'll need either the Goggles 2/Integra with that Wasp or you'll need your Goggles v2 with an O3.

The setup and wiring is the same as the black DJI controller. Make sure you have the latest firmware on all components of the system (goggles, controller, and air unit). Also, make sure that the "Baud Fast" matches between your betaflight settings and goggles settings.
@@Mangorille thank you so very much! That was it! I set up fast settings and it worked beautifully! I think I like this controller a lot! I wish it had momentary switches but can’t have it all!
@@proxemiafpv5746 Welcome. Do a few range tests before you get too comfortable with that controller. I had issues with it back when the O3 first released. I know they've made firmware enhancements since.
@@Mangorille thanks. I like it. Feels good. Compact and convenient. I bound a bunch more older air units. Unfortunate that it doesn’t have multi bind. Had I known I had to rebind each time I switched drones, I would had let it alone. I may downgrade all the firmware and go back to using the older v1 radio. It’s just too big and clunky.
@@proxemiafpv5746 I found it had too many compromises for the features. It's a good choice if you already have it because of an Avata or something. Otherwise, a Tango 2 pro with the internal ELRS mod gives you the same footprint without the loss of features and only a bit more wiring on the drone side.
Correct, if you use the DJI Remote 2 then you can use the built in radio receiver in the O3 or Vista (when used with the Goggles 2 or Integra) rather than using a separate stand alone radio receiver like TBS Crossfire or ELRS.
@@realbigfans Been a while since I used this remote, but I do remember having to rebind each time I switched between quads. Not sure if that’s changed over the last 2 years or so.
so if i see it right, if i have the goggles v2 and the fpv controller 2 i´m not able to bind both of them? because with the new firmware i can connect the controller but not the goggles and the older firmware i can connect the goggles but not the controller?
The goggles v2 and the controller 2 only work together with the o3 air unit. Otherwise you’ll need the goggles 2 or goggles integra to make it work with the vista.
I have two different quads I have updated the vistas to the newest firmware, so they are compatible with the goggles 2 and the controller 2. The goggles and controller are also updated to the latest firmware. I have made sure that I have sbus baud fast turned on through CLI and I hit save, and it’s turned on in the goggles. I am using the wiring harness to connect to the flight controller and the Sbus goes to rx1 using that wiring harness my ports tab in betaflight has RX set to uart 1. When I power on the quad, the goggles and the radio everything connects. It’s just when I have the quad hooked up to beta flight. I get no stick movements in the receiver tab. I have tried unhooking sbus wire from the harness and soldering it to multiple different RX pads and changing the port in betaflight to the uarts I connected it too and that still didn’t work.
Try turning sbus baud fast off, some have reported that they couldn't get that working (which is very suspect). Make sure you are typing save into the CLI after turning sbus baud fast on or off otherwise it won't take effect.
@@Mangorille I just tried this again. I went to cli changed it to set sbus_baud_fast = off then save. Still didn’t work. Made sure it was changed to standard In The goggles and still nothing. Also, the google feed is excellent but the RC is not stable.
I wanted to do the same so I can use the remote 2 only, so sad to hear about this problem :( Please let me know if you find a way to fix this issue, thank you! Best regards
Yes, I suspect the remote controller 2 can only be bound to one device at a time. I had the same when I was testing between the Goggles V2 and Goggles 2, I'd need to rebind the Remote Controller 2 each time I switched. The same happens when using the Goggles 2 between the O3 and Vista (backwards compatibility firmware).
gamepad style remotes dont have full stick input therefore have less resolution when applying maneuvers to your thumbsticks. the longer the stick the more resolution which means you can be more precise

Thank you so much!

No, with the vista you need the goggles 2 or goggles integra to use the controller 2.

Im
Already bound to my Caddx vista with my goggles 2 so I know my firmwares are correct on those 2.

You just need to use the ham file on your goggles 2. The naco text file is only if you have the Goggles v2 or v1.
Thank you for this great video, the previous remote 1 ran out of signal before de Goggles V2. Using the new Update with the Remote 2, allows you to at least match the Goggles 2 signal? Thank you

I chose Crossfire from the start because I saw tons of comments of people claiming that the Remote 1 loses signal way before the Goggles.
I've always wanted to use my Remote 2 and if works great with the Goggles 2, then I'll switch to full DJI cause Crossfire gives failsafe near Cell Towers (the DJI signal is unafected by the Towers).

They say that the baudfast is lower latency, I want to say 7ms if memory serves. You need to use the CLI command to turn it on in betaflight (make sure you send a save command afterwards) and then turn it on in the goggles menu.

Looks like it doesn't work anymore after the last driver update. Won't brind to the V2 goggles. I don't even have the "FPV air unit" device option...
I don't have my V2 goggles anymore but that doesn't sound right. This remote never worked with the V2 and FPV Air Unit anyway. With the V2, you'd need the O3 air unit for this remote to work.

Yes the same button on the goggles is used for binding the radio.
have an issue with it but it's my guess at this point that I maybe fried the sbus port because I plugged it in before I realized the pinout was backwards. upon resoldering everything the VTX works perfectly but no response on the controller :/
@@Mangorille Thank you, ended up removing the Crossfire RX before your reply and it worked 👌
Things to check:
1. In Betaflight, does the little quad graphic move in the correct direction when you move the quad? For example, if you tilt the quad right does the quad graphic also tilt right?
2. Are you sure all the motors are spinning in the correct direction?
3. Are you sure all the props are on correctly?
So if I have dji goggle v2 and nazgul. Evoque with caddax vista and grey remote control so it's mean I can bind and use 😮
No, you need the Goggles 2 to make it work right now or the O3 and Goggles V2.
hey i am having Dji v2 and RC2 and just baught runcam wasp but RC2 won't bind . when they are going to fix it or should I buy a new controller? thanks ......

Then changed it all back to sbus on and nothing. The remote connects to the vista. It shows rc in the goggles Just betaflight won’t recognize it. This is 2 different quads with 2 different flight controllers I’m trying this on.
@@saiyanfpv5358 Hmm. What you are seeing is usually a sign that the wiring is not correct for the yellow wire or you have the ports tab configuration incorrectly (sbus on the wrong port). But since you have checked all that, not sure what else you can try.
thanks but nothing works i have my first fpv drohne the cinebot 30 with air unit o3 and the remote 2. i was following all youre steps but the controller makes nothing in betaflight
Try turning off the DJI HDL (SBUS Baud Fast). Some have reported that they weren't able to get this working. I never had any problems but you can start there.
What's the difference between sbus baud fast and standard? Why would you chose one versus the other?
Baud Fast is supposed to use the DJI HDL protocol which is lower latency. I suspect most won't feel any difference.

So let me make sure I have this understood correctly. If I get DJI GOOGLES #2, I can then utilize my CADDX Vista or DJI AU #1 with the DJI FPV REMOTE CONTROLLER 2?
Correct. Goggles 2 is the one you need (NOT Goggles V2).
@@Mangorille What's your thoughts about the future? I'm really hoping they make the Remote 2 compatible with AU 1/Vistas or is it technically not possible spec wise?
I have V2.. really holding off from trying to buy another goggle. I'm late.. but 2days fresh into wtfos and hopefully will maiden an DJI 03 tomorrow.
@@cdramafpv I don't think anything stops them from making it work technically, look at the DJI FPV drone which works with the Goggles V2 and the Remote Controller 2. It would be more of a willingness for them to cannibalize sales of the Goggles 2.

I'd suggest checking all the steps again carefully. If you followed all the steps and made sure all the firmware were up-to-date, it will work.
Hey guys, so I recently switched from the amazing TBS Tango 2 crossfire link to the DJI controller 2 sbus link, so I can fly it with the DJI AVATA and my DIY drones. The reason was so I don't have to carry two separate controllers around with me and because i wanted to new GOGGLES 2.
I'm having a big problem with the DJI control I get micro failsafe very close to me and I get a failsafe around 50 meters away from me. I've tried SBus fast and standard in the DJI controller and still, I get the same performance. I am using the CADEX VISTA with the new update that allows it to connect to the googles 2 and work with the controller. Not sure if this is a bug but is anyone having these problems? Also, the google feed is excellent but the RC is not stable.
I wanted to do the same so I can use the remote 2 only, so sad to hear about this problem :(
Please let me know if you find a way to fix this issue, thank you! Best regards
Are the goggles, air unit and rc in the same firmware version?
Have you experienced remote 2 loses binding issue while you switch between New O3 AU & Old AU(Vista)?
Yes, I suspect the remote controller 2 can only be bound to one device at a time. I had the same when I was testing between the Goggles V2 and Goggles 2, I'd need to rebind the Remote Controller 2 each time I switched. The same happens when using the Goggles 2 between the O3 and Vista (backwards compatibility firmware).
Thx for your prompt reply 👍
I know these gimbals are small but how well would it still work for Cinematic drones?
I'm sure you can get used to it with practice but would be easier to have the range of motion and precision of a full size controller.
gamepad style remotes dont have full stick input therefore have less resolution when applying maneuvers to your thumbsticks. the longer the stick the more resolution which means you can be more precise
Good afternoon. Please tell me is it possible to link caddxvista with a remote control from DJI inspire 1?
No it is not, you can only use the DJI Remote Controller 1 (the black one) if you have the Goggles V1 or V2. Or you can use the DJI Remote Controller 2 (the gray one) if you have the Goggles 2/Goggles Integra.
understood thanks... And what remotes can be connected to caddx vista without using glasses?
@@hdhdhdyshsh4277 The old school black DJI remote controller but given that it's discontinued, I'd suggest a stand alone control link, such as ELRS or Crossfire. The ELRS receiver are ~0.5-2 grams depending on which you go for. ua-cam.com/video/f8kZDjcRTOc/v-deo.html
Can I do this with any FC? So, can I get rid off of my taranis and control my geprc cinequeen with vista with the remote 2? Thanx in advance
Nearly all flight controllers will have an SBUS input, double check that. Which air unit and goggles do you have? This only works with a specific combo of goggles/air unit.
@@Mangorille Thnx for the reply!!! I have v2 goggles and caddx vista nebula pro.
@@rodher12 That combination is not supported by the RC2. You need either Vista + Goggles 2/Integra or O3 + Goggles V2/Goggles 2/Integra

Hi bro, i did all the steps. My RC and goggle 2 managed to bind. But the thing is, it wont work on the receiver tab in BetaFlight. Please help
Did you update the firmware of all the devices? Goggles, Air Unit, and Controller?
@@Mangorille hey dude, many thanks. its working now!

Hi I’m running into a problem where I have all my goggle v2 and controller 2 connected to my caddx but I’m not able to power my caddx and get on beta flight to make adjustments
Not following the issue, are you saying that when you connect your flight controller to the computer via USB, betaflight is not detecting the port and letting you connect?
Hi mangorille, so I am able to connect the beta flight when my battery is not plugged into my drone. The problem is when my battery isn’t plugged in my caddx has no power. The moment I plug in my battery to

Dji goggles and runcam are only bind in vista vtx version 6 and I want to add dji controller 2 to it but I can't bind because the controller is in the newest version and older versions are not available in the program. Dji assistant (dji fpv series)

Hey Mangorille!
Any idea if it would be possible to use the DJI Controller 2 in conjunction with the DJI Goggles V2 and Caddx Vista? I figured given the relase notes, no, but is there a workaround?
Not right now and I don’t know of any workaround. Hopefully in the future we get goggles v2 compatibility.
@@Mangorille I read the realease notes and as see it the Goggle v2 can be used with dji fpv contoller 2, but no luck getting bound here on my side as well.
@@ChasebirdFPV Are you looking at the Dec 8th release notes? It says that the Goggles V2 are not supported: "After updating, the air unit will not support DJI FPV Goggles V2, DJI FPV Goggles V1 and the DJI FPV remote controller. "
@@Mangorille no, but you are correct, I read that FPV controller at the end thinking they were talking about the FPV controller (2)”. I didn’t know they were calling the first DJI black remote a fpv remote.

Hi its possible ton bind with dji googles v2 caddx vista and dji controller 2 ??
Not currently. With the goggles v2, you need an o3. If you have a googles 2 or goggles integra, you can do this with the vista.
Do you have to use the goggles 2 to be able to use the remote 2 or can you use it when using the v2 goggles as well?
As far as i understand is upgrading to use it with controller 2, lets lost connection between googles v2- air unit (fucking dji always does this to sell their stuff) FUCKKK
Which air unit do you have? If you have the O3 air unit, you can use the FPV Controller 2 with both the Goggles 2 and the Goggles V2. If you have the old air unit/vista, you need the Goggles 2.
