I love your tutorial. You are very thorough and show exactly where we should be inserting the hook. However, I wish your camera angle was more over your shoulder so we could see what you're doing a little better. Sometimes your work goes too far below the camera lens.
This is now one of my favorite stitches. You are right it looks amazing in any thread. I appreciate how easy your videos are to follow AND you don’t drag on each stitch. You show us then let us work on our own to the end of the row. Makes it much nicer to follow. I am by far not advanced but I want to go through a video fast. Can’t wait to learn another stitch now. Prepping for Christmas presents.
Great video! I appreciate the level of detail in explaining where each stitch goes. I was 3 rows in and I knew something was wrong. It was that pesky stitch 3. Other videos I looked at did not clearly explain where that stitch needs to be made. I ripped it all out and now I'm back on track!
Really great instruction. I have watched several dozen videos and this is so very well explained. The trouble with inexperienced crochet folks like myself is understanding where to exactly put the next stick and you demonstrate this perfectly! Thank you! I feel confident to try this one!!! I have subscribed!
Thank you so much! This tutorial has me coming back anytime I’m unsure how to complete a row. I wish I could quadruple like this video. Your explanation skills are fantastic!
I have done this stitch a long time ago but had forgotten how to do it so thank you for doing it for us. Love watching you crochet and hearing you talk, love your accent!!!
What a stunning stitch. I am stitching this little beauty up in Caron Simply Soft in the color way "Pumpkin Spice." The softness and sheen really show of the beauty of this stitch. Thank you again for another magnificent tutorial. You have helped me along so much and I love, love, love all of your projects and tutorials.
I've watched this video so many times now. I'm not normally lacking in adventure when it comes to crochet, but I never and up doing this one and it's my favourite. Xxx
Just about to give up on this star pattern when from nowhere came across your tutorial, very well explained, I tried it n it works so well,I am going to start my wallet project with this pattern, thank you soooooo much dear 😊 btw I can't figure out back loop stitch, any video to share..I have subscribed to your channel, thank u
@@michelleherrell4181 I’d say it depends on how thick your yarn is. I used a little bit thicker yarn than in the video and I did 19 chains if I remember correctly
Thank you SO much for doing this tutorial! I wanted to use this stitch but was ready to throw it after trying another method. I KNEW there had to be a better way! Now that I’ve tried your method I’m confident to use it on a project! Thanks again.
Very well explained there are only a few shots where you go out of focus or the stitch is out of sight of the camera but it's workable. Yes, you are correct, cotton yarn gives a prettier design than worsted yarn.
Holy cow, it looks really difficult but you explain it sowell. I think that I would be able to do this stitch! Thank you for showing me how. Keep up the great work 👍. Till next time
I am using 4 ply (which is what most people use) yarn so what size hook and how much yarn would you estimate for 54 inch scarf. Beautiful pattern thanks for sharing it! ♥
I love this stitch and you explained it very well. Is there a way to minimize the size of the hole on the edge where you do 2 1/2 treble crochet? Although yours doesn't seem like theres much of a gap. Is that why you end with 2 x 1/2 treble crochet instead of one?
I love the star stitch, but I can only do it using your tutorial. No others work out. I am making a scarf as a Christmas present and it would be lovely if you could do a star stitch beanie tutorial so I could do it to match. Pleeeeease:)
Would like to put a border on the star stitch blanket I have just finished, do you have a border tutorial that would be able to be put on this blanket. I'm a crochet beginner.
HELP! I've done the start stich a dozen times with the video. I swear I'm doing it right and it looks right but my stars shrink by 2 every new row thus making my project tiny very quickly. What am I doing wrong? HELP!! thank you for the lovely video!
So im running into a problem. I'm trying to figure out how to add the star stitch to a square project of mine. Almost like a border of star stitches if you will. How would you do corners/ increases? Do you have any corners videos that could help me with this particular stitch?
I’d suggest something quite simple so not to distract from the pretty star stitch - maybe a moss still border or a couple of rounds of U.K. half trebles 🩷
@BlossomCrochet thanks, I've used your moss stitch border tutorial a few times it's great when you aren't confident on where to place or how many stitches to place. ☺️
Thanks for the tutorial - indeed you make it sound a lot simpler than it is. I still end up increasing my rows by a star every time I end a previous row with two HDC on the same stitch, though. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
I used to do that, until I figured out that, on the last star, don't try to continue it. When you pull the last star through, just do the chain one, then one half double in the last stitch. Chain two, turn, and do two half double crochets in each opening of each star. At the last stitch of that row, do two half double crochets. That creates a row of stars.
@@alisiabarbour7374 I have done exactly this and my rows are still uneven on both ends! I have unraveled it 3 times & started over, but get the same results all 3 times. What could I be doing wrong? Wish I could add a picture so you can see. One side slants one way & the other side slants the opposite direction, yet all my rows have the same number of stars & same number of DC’s, so I just can’t figure out what I am doing wrong!

@@BlossomCrochet I woul have liked to learn the star stitch but your filming of your work was out of sight a lot. Sorry .

Can you tell me how many yards it takes to make this scarf? Do you think this scarf would look good with a fringe?

I love this stitch in really need to have a go at this xx
Love the stitch 😀
Looks a bit complicated for me but it is lovely...I’ll try when I get a little better at crochet 🌷
Thank you. Explained very clearly ☺️
Beautiful pattern
So, after finishing the Half Triple Crochet Row, do you get the two yarn pieces in a chain or just one?
thank you for this video. I did a slight differnent stitch look...I used the third loop of the half treble...makes a ridge and separates the stars.
Love this stitch & hope I can remember the time stamp for starting the repeat rows. 11:40
What border would you recommend for a star stitch baby blanket?
I’d suggest something quite simple so not to distract from the pretty star stitch - maybe a moss still border or a couple of rounds of U.K. half trebles 🩷

Problem. How many stitches do I count for my chain to end up with a last complete star?
Thanks for the tutorial - indeed you make it sound a lot simpler than it is. I still end up increasing my rows by a star every time I end a previous row with two HDC on the same stitch, though. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?
