Oh man.. I used to watch this show religiously every Friday after school. I would make sure my Dad recorded it on the TV the night before. Then every Christmas I would get the entire Season on DVD. So many great memories, such an underrated show and hardly anybody knows about it today.
This show hands down has some of the best one liners and story writing that I've ever seen. So many moments that stick with you and make you want to go back and rewatch. Nothing nowadays will ever be as good as this show.
I vividly remember my older brother watching this around when I was 7-8 years old in the cop chase scene he was like 20 years old at the time anyways After years later I stumbled upon it in the same episode i first seen it watched it and it brought freaking memories grew up watching it ever since a tru gim. 😂

Such a funny show. I lived in Moorpark, CA when this show came out (2005-2009) and it was fun watching the episodes they shot in the old downtown area of Moorpark. They also filmed many of the exterior shots at Sepulveda Basin Wildlife Preserve in Van Nuys where my friends and I loved to go bike riding and watch the model airplane enthusiasts.
If you have ever seen raising hope (also by Greg Garcia) it has a scene where the dad Burt kicks a fox news producer in the gonads and says "THATS FOR CANCELING MY NAME IS EARL"

My guess is because it’s more subtle in its attempts, while sunny is more absurd and direct which I think is more liked by people that I’ve seen
sunny also has danny devito in the main cast, which helps both the ratings and the humor
