I consider it a different show entirely. On rewatches of the Office, I restart after S7. The last two might as well not exist; they're ridiculous, and not in a good way. It's like the writers set out to ruin every single character.
On the Office Ladies Podcast with Angela Kinsey and Jenna Fisher, Angela said that when Stanley fell, he actually fell on her and the cast and crew could not stop laughing afterwards 😂
@ninipanini8558 I feel like Ive heard that before, I still like to imagine after he takes those backwards stutter steps weve all taken, that he crashes into a wall. There was one of Dwights falls in the tight rope episode that killed me also. Physical comedy works best when its not overdone, and The Office used it perfectly imo.
I'm down with wearing any costume that doesn't require me to wear face paint, glitter, or a full-face-covering mask. An eye mask like Zorro or Catwoman is cool.
The moment robert california became the boss by convincing jo to give him the ceo spot is the day that the office completely died. It became a parody of itself. There were some good moments here and there and the series finale was good but oomph, what a left turn it took after michael left.
It did not die. I liked Robert California’s character. Yes, like you said, there were times where the show lacked what it had in the past but it didn’t die. You even said so yourself by saying “there were some good moments here and there and the finale was good”.
@bharv2309 yeah. There were some good moments, some great moments even. And I really, really was on board with the season finale, it ended in the absolute best way it could have without Michael being a main character. The office is my favorite TV show of all time. I'll concede that saying it "died" with that scene wasn't entirely accurate but it was absolutely a shell of its former self. Wasn't even the episode when Michael left that started the downturn for me. It was literally that scene, and mostly every other Robert California scene excluding the hiring committee ones, that turned me off. I did, however, think that Andy was the perfect successor to Michael as branch manager. His character and the way he did things was as close to the norm as we could get.
"Look kids, that's me! Your daddy left that face-hole!" This really was a good compilation, I had a few belly laughs from this. Although the saga of Recyclops and Polluticorn will always crack me up no matter how many times I see it.... as will anything bad happening to Andy, Gabe, and Ryan.
She should have forgotten about Pratt and gone for some painting/sketching degree program part-time. By her own admission, she isn't a fan of computer graphic design.
You have to realize that these people spent years together. We watched each character form and how they ended up. Got respect everyone on it and everyone who worked on it. Legit built a bone in America. 1 person in every job has seen the office at least once.
And another thing about a lot of this show is when it came out … just reminds me of such a different time in my life.. I miss my grandma. I remember living at her house at the time watching MOST of these.

idk why but Jim went from being my favorite character in the first two seasons to being my least favorite character by the end of the show. He just came across as being very judgmental. That being said, the dynamic between every character in the office - especially Jim and Dwight, was incredible.
