The fact I'm a common peasant trained by dad and the knights don't matter much, 'cuz I ain't gunna lose my gal again!" Even care fer his Zelda spiritually (w/ truth) so he's able ta use the Master Sword o' the Spirit (now unbreakable again, pristine again) 'cuz he cares about HER soul as much as he cares about her well bein'. Not just romantic love between a peasant knight and his princess, but divine love from God Almighty. He's worthy ta be her hubby, her spouse, and her kingie 'cuz he's a common guy who'd won her heart more than any prince could, just like Link who was Hylia's knight from before Skyward Sword.

Something about her short dialogue after she returns just plays at my heart strings and makes me want to just pprotect Zelda after the hell she's gone through. And that finaly line, "oh Link! I'm home." just breaks my heart entirely. This girl's entire life has been devined by Calamity Ganon + Ganondorf's evil, and her quest made her sacrifice so much just to see that her people will see another day. And when all is said and done, she's just happy to be home again.
The fact that after swallowing the stone, she is speaking her final words as far as she knows, and it’s a plea not for herself but for her people. “Link, protect them all!” 😢❤
Im replaying Skyward sword and in the beginning there is a similar scene to this. The tornado takes Zelda and Link is falling after her and trying to catch he, but he fails. This scene is an unintentional callback to that moment. It was never supposed to be that, but that it is
It’s been years since a game made me feel anything. I have never felt more like the character in that moment in a game. I was going to catch her or die trying. I love that they let us be the one to do it. “Not this time” is a good name for this song for sure.

I would tolerate this if this was where the bullshit stopped. Unfortunately, it gets worse. - [ ] We then awaken in some magical realm where we meet Sonia and Rauru’s ghosts (wait, I thought Rauru’s spirit passed on at the beginning of the game? But if this is the afterlife, where the hell are the other spirits?) and they somehow manage to give Link his right hand back, despite the fact that Rauru SPECIFICALLY TOLD HIM that his hand was beyond saving. - [ ] They then shoot some magic blast at the Light Dragon, despite the fact that Draconificaion was SUPPOSED to be irrreversible, turning it back into Zelda and ruining any emotional weight the game had. Yes, i know recall is pretty powerful but Sonia and Rauru and Sonia suddenly having this much power is unearned Besides, this is just inconsequential bullshit on a new level! Wasn’t this whole game’s terrible theme about sacrifice?! - [ ] After the pair fall into a conveniently placed pool of water, the game repeat BOTW’s ending by having zelda say hello to link after so long except this time is boring as shit instead of absolutely beautiful. Why? Because in BOTW, the context of meeting Zelda was that this was a girl we once knew and got to know again as we explored Hyrule. Here, we already know the girl but the story is so bad she not only gets no further development and the context of us seeing her again involves the game breaking its own rules to deliver a contrived bullshit outcome!!! How the hell is this game “slightly darker than Majora’s Mask”?!?!

I like how this game teaches a younger audience how even heroes (aka, good people) make mistakes and such mistakes could have dire consequences. Take King Rauru for example, he thought he could control Ganondorf and was foolish to believe that he had everything under control by keeping him close. There have been times throughout the world's history that are similar to this.
Love that Links entire goal throughout the game was to find Zelda even to the point that Ganon was an afterthought Also love that Zelda caught us as many times as we needed during the fight with Ganon, and so as we see her falling, it’s no question, we have to reach her, to catch her like she did for us, we aren’t letting her go, not this time
No He's Not Really Gone His Hatred Will Be Reborn Again But I Would Like To See Minaru And The Zonai Proved Wrong Because The Master Sword Is Still Around And As Long As It Around Demise Is There And So Is Ganondorf So In Order To Do That Link Would Have To Descend Into The Master Sword (Which Would Be A Cool Storyline In A Zelda Game) And Link Can Know The Hidden History Behind The Blade's Actual Forging Along The Way And It Can Play Like Assassin's Creed Series Where Link Visits Places He Hasnt Seen In A Long Long Long Time
Imagine a reimagining of Ocarina of Time under these conditions. Or at least, a continuation, being a new adventure of the hero of time meeting Navi, and ending with a flourish
Say what you want about the story, maybe its not so indepth and a bit repetitive at times, but to me, this game was about Link and Zeldas relationship (whether its plutanic or romatic) it was about them having to trust one another and work together even when seperated by time. Link is loyal to Zelda and Zelda has all the faith in the world in Link.
*My man Link was so focus on saving his princess that he braced her fall with his own body. And considering how high they were, slamming into water would be like slamming into concrete. Meaning he was willing to damage his body severely just to protect her. Get you a man like Link ladies* 👍🏿
There were some things that annoyed me about the story of this game overall but they absolutely nailed the ending and all of my other grievances is completely forgiven thanks to the ending It was an absolute experience and I loved every bit of it
I always thought that if a person falls from the sky and lands in water that its just like landing on concrete. Apparently i was wrong. No matter what height you fall from landing in water will save you
