That's exactly what happened. Think about how many times if you even come close to 100% on the game he does this same jump. You have 2 or 3 times in the cave on the sky island, once off the sky island to Hyrule, 3 times for the labyrinths (one each), once for the 5th sage, at least twice for each time trial to get the glide armor and more that I'm sure I'm forgetting. Link has been practicing this jump all game, beating himself up over it. Also, the whole reason you don't have armor imo is that he had to know HE could do it. No magic, no items, no armor, he had to live down his failure on his own.

As someone who has played the series since childhood, with OoT and approaching my 30s, I can't understate how emotionally impactful this scene and those last few seconds actually were to me. It somehow captured all of those moments I spent with the series, all of those memories, and brought all of that back in just a tiny emotional moment. I was legit tearing up when Link's theme started playing. Say you what you want about the game, but moments like this made the entire journey worth it.
Every time I watch this I get chills and tear up. NO questions asked this is the best ending to a video game and is the best game of all time in my opinion. This really hit home for me when I saw it for the first time, being a crazy Zelda fan. I LOVE THE LEGEND OF ZELDA!!!
I think I'm gonna come back to this beautifully montaged video every once in a while for the rest of my life. Just to get the goosebumps again. Thank you!
Man I love everything about this song!! This is a weird tip for anyone that is studying, but I love to put this song while im almost done doing homework or just studying in for an exam. It doesn’t even have to be this song, just any “last battle” song from a game. It gives you the perfect kick to be done faster :)
I think this is one of the most emotional moments in a Zelda game. The changing of the music, the classic Zelda theme and the fact it mirrors the start of the game, but this time Link catches Zelda. Ah it's perfect!
Absolument fantastique. Votre montage est aussi bien mis ensemble, j'adore le moment où Link tente de rattraper Zelda à la fin et vous avez fait en sorte d'aussi incorporer le moment où Link échoue de l'attraper au début du jeu.
I like how Link reached out his arm to grab Zelda regardless of how fucked up it is and how painful it probably feels to even move , let alone try to save another person from falling .
True masterpiece. One of those stories that change you after experiencing them. `You can feel that those who made the game, did it with passion to give to others and not take praise.
I actually really like that this game puts finding Zelda in particular front and center. It makes for a more personal and emotional story. BoTW is about saving the world, but in the beginning, Zelda is no more than a mysterious voice and the relationship between Link and Zelda is clearly early days in flashbacks. Meanwhile, ToTK is, at its core, a lot more about Link and Zelda's enduring faith in and dedication to each other. The rest of the plot is just the driver pulling them apart and bringing them back together. You can tell even from the beginning scenes that there is a familiarity and affection there, from them having spent time together and worked on rebuilding the kingdom side by side. This is not only such a triumphant moment of redemption for Link, but a genuinely touching reunion between two people who have been on separate journeys headed in the same direction, waiting to finally meet again.
I remember gasping when I realized I was in control of Link during this moment. I wasn’t expecting it at all. It was ultimately something so small but in the moment, it moved mountains for me. This ending couldn’t have been more perfect for me.
I am not even a big Zelda fan, and yet, the entire Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom storyline is one of the best stories I think I have ever seen. Along with this being the best Zelda ending that I have seen. I cried during this scene. It takes a lot to make me cry.

You damn did it. You surpassed ocarina. AGAIN.
This is a masterpiece
I wish i could play this game for the first time again - one of my favorite zelda's yet!!!
Thank you!
Man, in 10 years I am going to be soooo nostalgic for this game. It’s literally my hyperfixation 🥲👍🏻
That editing was smooth
I have nostalgia for all my favorite games, but TOTK is something truly special. It’s my favorite game ever.
Man I love everything about this song!! This is a weird tip for anyone that is studying, but I love to put this song while im almost done doing homework or just studying in for an exam. It doesn’t even have to be this song, just any “last battle” song from a game. It gives you the perfect kick to be done faster :)
Nintendo's games really bring out tears to me when it comes to music and story, thanks a lot
I think this is one of the most emotional moments in a Zelda game. The changing of the music, the classic Zelda theme and the fact it mirrors the start of the game, but this time Link catches Zelda. Ah it's perfect!
I actually cried tears of pure joy during this moment and just kept looping the cutscene
As a lifelong Zelda fan, I sobbed during this scene
Hen I must ask why a supposed life long zelda fan enjoys an ending that ruins the game’s story…..or what was left of it that was good
This is the best ending that i have ever witnessed in a video game.
回想なんて入れられたら、もう涙腺崩壊するわ
I cried with this ending and this edit
This moment lives in my head rent free, thus I must return to enjoy this beautifully edited version of it. Thank you!
This has to win Game of the year it just have to win
It will man from all the twists and turns Totk will win game of the year
this will be iconic in the future
The best zelda ending by far
Tears of the kingdom may have its fair share of issues but this made it worth the adventure.
wow congratulations on the edition, perfectly picturing how everything started and how it ended
first time I cried in a game
Absolument fantastique. Votre montage est aussi bien mis ensemble, j'adore le moment où Link tente de rattraper Zelda à la fin et vous avez fait en sorte d'aussi incorporer le moment où Link échoue de l'attraper au début du jeu.
I love how this video gets more and more views as more people finish the game

I like how Link reached out his arm to grab Zelda regardless of how fucked up it is and how painful it probably feels to even move , let alone try to save another person from falling .
That's one of the best scenes of a game ever! The connection between the beginning and the ending. Amazing!
The only way I can see this being more epic is all the sky islands were falling around them at the same time
True masterpiece. One of those stories that change you after experiencing them. `You can feel that those who made the game, did it with passion to give to others and not take praise.
I always thought Link and Zelda weren’t meant to be together- just bonded by fate. But I love them in botw and totk and totally ship them!!
This is my favorite ending for a video game ever. Looks like I’m not alone judging by the comments
Thanks for not advertising your own application while sharing this song, it's unfortunately rare these days.
I can never listen to this song without absolutely WEEPING
The editing in this video is beautiful, also this version of Zelda’s Lullaby is probably my favorite.
환상적인 편집 감사합니다 저는 눈물을 흘리고 있어요
Pinche canción bien chingona, se me erizan los pelos de los huevos de lo poderosa que está
This is 100% what should play at TGA when this game fucking WINS
When is the game awards?
@@jonlopez2426 december :D
1:10 They played the thing.
POV me 😢😢💥😢😢😭😭😭🤕
MASTER PIECE
I remember gasping when I realized I was in control of Link during this moment. I wasn’t expecting it at all. It was ultimately something so small but in the moment, it moved mountains for me. This ending couldn’t have been more perfect for me.
It's such a short moment, but you managed to capture all of the gravity behind it in a minute and a half.
This ending brought a tear to my ear. First time in a long time since a game made me feel that way.
I am not even a big Zelda fan, and yet, the entire Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom storyline is one of the best stories I think I have ever seen. Along with this being the best Zelda ending that I have seen. I cried during this scene. It takes a lot to make me cry.
It's not until you see this ending that you understand why it's called The Legend of Zelda and not The Legend of Link. Awesone !!!
No es hasta que ves este final que comprendes porque se llama The Legend of Zelda y no The legend of Link. Hermoso !!!
Best Nintendo game ever (so far)
