Not sure if I agree with that sewage treatment plant can’t just shut down there has to be personnel whether it’s management or non-union it’s a public health concern, sewage treatment plants just don’t throw a switch and shut down if flooding becomes a concern they can go into a bypass mode, which would unfortunately either put raw sewage into a river or into holding tanks if they have such, but the plant cannot shut down. I worked for sewage treatment for 35 years. There were two times where the plant the main pump had to shut down, and quite literally you could watch the manholes rise by the hour. It would be a ugly site.
It was because we didn't get any snow during the winter time and now it is catching up with us. Normally this amount of water would come across the entire winter time December January and february. But mother nature does not tell us when winter is or when spring is she decides when the seasons change. So therefore she reigned all through spring and half of Summer and so that's why we are getting all of this rain. Especially now.
Most of the time you recovered from a drought with a very rainy year, about every 5 to 7 years the weather patterns change and that is what we saw last year. The temperature of our oceans plays a big role in this and that is why we did not get that much snow last year. Not exactly sure if it’s El Niño, or El Niña but that is what is happening

It’s called the AMOC. It controls the weather on the planet. And there is proof that it’s shutting down.

Yep and the new or upgraded ones are automatic. They at times don't have to do anything just one person with a cell phone can handle it at home.
