Freakiest part about the demon core and radiation in general, for me. My favorite lore tidbit about the Order of the Valorous Heart is that after St. Lucia died, the whole order spent the next decade hunting down every single member of the sect that killed her, and forced them all to admit that Lucia's faith was never broken. Nobody knows what happened to the cultists after that, but what we do know is that there's been a contingent of Sisters Hospitaller permanently attached to the Valorous Heart's home convent ever since, and they've apparently been putting their knowledge of life extension and pain enhancement to good use in the dungeons beneath the abbey.
It’s such a testament to the willpower of the Sisters that those of the Valorous Heart are engaging what is potentially the beginnings of a Slaanesh cult and they just…don’t care. It’s like ‘this is an Icarus story, they’re flying too close to the sun’ and then they just fly through the sun and keep going. I love Sisters so much. My favorite faction.
Something really cool to know, the triumph of Saint Katherine not only has her body upon it. But behind her head rests her heart within a container, it is intact and infact still beating. Which is just again. So very dang metal

I concur, as a long-time fan of the knife-ears in both Fantasy and 40K I would love that. To be fair, I play both sides since I also love Dwarves, Chaos Dwarves, and the Leagues of Votann/Squats. You could do entire episodes on the individual Crafworlds, the Aspect Warriors, the Phoenix Lords, the Corsairs and their fleets, the Rangers, and their ranks of Psykers.
Couple Demon Core notes: The Berrylium casing around the plutonium core was supposed to be separated using shims, and the shims slowly lowered so they could measure the reaction of charged particles with a Geiger counter. Louis Slotin, who wore cowboy boots to work, chose to use his bare hand and a screwdriver to separate the berrylium shell to show off how close he could get the reaction without creating a criticality incident. He was literally show boating with fissional material, "tickling the dragons tail" they called it, and there was no barrier between him and the core when it released a burst of ionizing radiation. He spent the next 11 days in unfathomable pain before slipping into a coma and dying.

The planet known as Armageddon was previously known as Ullanor and was the home world of the Orks. That's why the Orks under Ghazghkull are determined to retake it. The name was changed after the final battle with the great beast, a mega Ork and his forces. It became Armageddon as a tribute to all those imperial forces that fell during that war.
The incident with the demon core you are describing is actually the second criticality experiment that went prompt critical, and the person who grabbed the top half was Louis Slotin, who was holding the screwdriver that slipped. This incidend was recreated in the movie "Fat Man and Little Boy" about the Manhattan Project. The first incident with the core happened nine months to the day earlier when Harry Daghlian was preforming an experiment involving placing neutron reflective bricks around the core, and dropped one on top, causing prompt supercriticality. He died 25 days later, and the only other person there, a security guard by the door, died of acute leukemia 33 years later.

If you want a badly named town, Hazardville in connecticut (I think, I passed through it once on the way to NH). There is also a Hazard Lane in said town. And on that lane there is a Taco Bell. A Taco Bell on Hazard Lane in Hazardville.
I'm pretty sure in the older works Alicia Domina's death was implied to be the work of the Assassins, as the Convocation of Nephilim bound the Ecclesiarchy, the Inquisition, and the Sisters together as political groups and threatened the old power structures with visions of another Doge. The Convocation is what really allowed the Ecclesiarchy to keep on the Sisters. Basically Doge had consolidated a lot of power and wealth into the church and no one really wanted to see what would happen to all the works, worlds, and people the Ecclesiarchy had been supporting up to that time if it was suddenly unable to support it's massive infrastructure. The Ecclesiarchy wanted strong protection, the Sisters wanted financial support and a worthy cause, and the Inquisition wanted this whole mess to be put to bed while also having someone else fund and support a convenient force against heretics and possible future Astarte rebellions. No one liked this outside of these three groups but couldn't do anything directly against 2 members of the High Lords and what was once a force capable of stopping multiple space marine chapters at once.
That's a fair point Koda, I never made the connection between Armageddon and The Biblical Battle of the end of world. It's make all the sense to everyone having massive losses.
Tabletop, The Triumph of St. Kathrine is a Warlord model, while it has several useful abilities, many are not so useful if you are not fighting chaos. I have binged all of your content.. and I am left starving for more. I'd love to see some Assassinorum, but I'd love for koda to have to deal with the complexity of Hydra Dominus!
Yall have amazing videos! I dont even play but listening to these stories is like, idk, my daily dose of scifi. This shit helps me get away from the world for a bit and kind of recharge. Thank you!
"nobody knows where her bones are" except the Emperor and Trazyn.
I watched all of the shorts and then was like wait i love this. So to patreon i go! Still trying to decide what army to start with so yalls videos have been very helpful!
so hard to pick a favorite order, but if i had to put my finger on it i think i little towards the argent shroud. War is a business, and they just get things done xP
Would love to hear more about the assassinorum
I personally like the bottom names feed. Also i hope they make new or bring back a Saint. I'm torn between going Necon or Sisters
Do you wanna be more meta or are ya playing for the fluff? Sisters are definitely cooler. But I think the Necrons are a wee bit stronger or at least less finicky.
@LastoftheMofreakins Fluff mostly. I noticed that too reading the guides. But I have a nerd wall in my basement so when I start buying figures I want to display something stunning and a good story behind them. Yet at the same time I don't want too big a handicap when I start playing
@@Lunardivider24 Then Nuns with Guns is prolly your go to. Just play mech heavy! Those organ-tanks look so good!
As to your question about how we transport the St Katherine model, the answer is magnets. You disassemble it each time
I've been loving all of this Warhammer content, binged it all and now have notifications on just to be sure I don't miss them!
doubled the sub count in less than three months. Utmost impressive. Continue spreading the word of the Emperor.
I love a good Tubthumping reference. Well played, fine sirs.
The ebon chalice trying to burn magnus’s book “ its not for a lack of trying”
Lowkey that makes me respect them mad sisters of battle 😂
I'd love to see an episode on the Inquisition Ordos and the Deathwatch!
Yo i forgot there was supposed to be a second sisters episode! hell yea keep up the good work guys
Saint Lucia is an italian saint. In many towns Is nowadays the subsitute of Santa. In those towns Kids Will recieve gifts on 13th december rather than on 25th. The Saint Is blind and if the Kids stay awake and see her while She Is bringing the gifts, they Will be blinded aswell.
So I may not be willing to pay on patreon, but I will watch each video multiple times and never once hit the skip ad button lol
Getting an episode on the assassinorum would be so cool
As a Brit, the image of Isyander fully door checking Black Rod is something I endorse wholeheartedly.😂
Yay another upload from Icelander and Coder :)
Here again for work, happy to listen though!😂 I would love to see an episode on Hive Cities once there's time
The planet known as Armageddon was previously known as Ullanor and was the home world of the Orks.
That's why the Orks under Ghazghkull are determined to retake it.
The name was changed after the final battle with the great beast, a mega Ork and his forces.
It became Armageddon as a tribute to all those imperial forces that fell during that war.
Koda sneaking in Tubthumping is a glorious moment.
Currently painting my Sisters of the Bloody Rose...😊
you guys are awesome!! I like to listen to this podcast while playing Darktide. Keep the episodes coming gentlemen
I haven't clicked so fast on a video in a very very long time. Love your videos.
Here's another vote for the Assasinorum.
He died 25 days later, and the only other person there, a security guard by the door, died of acute leukemia 33 years later.
you guys should cover more wars/battles in specifics
Have a binged watched all of your videos several times one of them can’t wait for more. Still need to figure out more about Dune and love all the Warhammer content
Just stumbled on your channel. Loving the videos.
The Scientist in the demon core experiment did indeed die on the 9th day. So you were right
This got uploaded while I was watching the previous episode. The Emperors Provides!
I love watching these videos. I vote for assassinorum. I would also love to see a video on the badab war or thousand sons
If you want a badly named town, Hazardville in connecticut (I think, I passed through it once on the way to NH). There is also a Hazard Lane in said town. And on that lane there is a Taco Bell. A Taco Bell on Hazard Lane in Hazardville.
I was waiting for this! Yes! The best 40k boys!
The Order for St Lucia...
Isyander makes them sound like the Tyranids of the Sisters of battle .
No discussion about Saint Celestine? I really want to hear your coverage of her!
You two are really awesome 👌 keep it up I really enjoy your videos keep up the great work ❤
I'm pretty sure in the older works Alicia Domina's death was implied to be the work of the Assassins, as the Convocation of Nephilim bound the Ecclesiarchy, the Inquisition, and the Sisters together as political groups and threatened the old power structures with visions of another Doge.
Love this, keep it up guys!
Hey, babe. New Isyander & Koda video just dropped
I bet Saint Arabella is fighting through the Warp along with the grey knight primarch
Love your work. Keep up the great content. I was just wondering if you have done any content on deathwatch?
Tabletop, The Triumph of St. Kathrine is a Warlord model, while it has several useful abilities, many are not so useful if you are not fighting chaos. Also the Triumph cannot Embark onto a transport model so you are stuck with its speed. Celestine or the Canoness are more generally useful for the same spot.
